This was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I was rescheduled from a different location to this one due to truck availability issues. I was told it would still be at 8 am like my original appt. This location opened at 9. I was told by someone waiting outside who seemed to know the owner, Kelley Bowling, that she was supposed to have 8 am summer opening hours but clearly did not, and was often late. I had scheduled my movers to arrive at 9, so I was stressed given I had been waiting since 8 and was then in a tight timeline. Kelley told me she likely didn’t have a truck for me because someone previously hadn’t returned one. She also said my reservation was a 24/7 one where I could have obtained a key from a lockbox and if I had done so, I would have had a truck. I did not set it up that way originally but Kelley said that’s what it appeared as. That’s fine, but I was not told by the original location that this was the case. If my reservation type was changed, that’s not Kelley’s fault. However, it was unclear if I was going to be able to get anything there and she seemed very nonplussed about it. Meanwhile, I have movers parked waiting on me. When I showed signs of stress by having my head in my hands and stumbling on my words when she asked a question, she began shouting at me. She said, “YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO GET IT TOGETHER” and continued berating me about how she was under pressure with customers. There were 2-3 other people in there if you don’t count her dog. With the comfort she displays screaming at customers, I have a hard time believing she is concerned with providing them any form of reputable service. Her Google reviews are horrendous and it’s clear she does this to many people. I had spoken on the phone with the original location while taking a moment outside and was told that she has a reputation for treating customers poorly. She did get us a 10’ truck with a trailer (not what my original order was), and did advise me on how to potentially recuperate some charges after having paid for 2 pieces of equipment instead of one like planned. Part of me is glad we got something, but with how disrespectful she was, I wanted to go elsewhere. This woman has NO business working with the general public and I would never return to this place if it was the last option in a 500-mile radius.

ANTOINETTE GThere was a lot of confusion about payment. I reserved the truck online with my credit card information. I later called to verify the pick up process, which was by a second party and out of state and was told that they did not need my credit card on hand to charge for the rental. That turned out not to be the case. The person I had contracted to pick up the truck had to pay for it himself. That caused a lot of consternation. I don’t think everyone’s on the same sheet of Music.

CHRISTELLE HI was an hour late and you charged me way to much. The person that rented the truck said it was $283. After being an hour late you charged me almost $700. My bank account is now overdrawn and my payment for my electric bill didn't go through due to insufficient funds. I rent from you a lot. Never again. You put me in a serious bind because the person giving me a ride after dropping the truck was late causing me to be late. You are greedy and ruthless. I will go somewhere, anywhere else from now on.

MARK SIt was supposed to open at 9am. I arrived at 8:57am. No one arrived to open the U-haul doors until after 9:10am. I had originally reserved the pickup location a week prior for Camby, IN and 5 days later it got changed on me, thus the reservation was not held. Then I got upcharged from $107.00 to $170.00+ because of the location changes.

DAVID NWoman working the front counter is quite unpleasant. She started out surly renting me a small trailer. I used it to move about 10 cardboard boxes of things bought from a store return auction nothing needed or was tied down. Took the trailer back earlier than agreed upon, and parked it exactly where it was picked up from. I got the receipt from uhaul and there was a $10 cleaning fee. I called to ask about the fee, and the lady immediately became enraged. She told me I left a bunch of twine tied to the railing, which I did not. She lied to me and said it wasn't on the picture taken right before I rented it, which it obviously was because I didn't tie anything down. She literally stared yelling at me about how she didn't work for free and even if the twine was there I didn't sweep it out. 10 boxes moved doesn't create debris in the trailer that wasn't there. When she finally realized that she had know ground to stand on she blurted out that she charges everyone a cleaning fee. What a scam, I don't care about the $10 the fact they take it from all their customers I do care about. Eventually she yelled take it up U-haul, guess ghat bring me here. Another quick note this upset me to the point I wanted to let U-haul know. The people handling it at that point where professional, apologetic, and appreciative of my business. Thank You

AARON CI came to this location because other UHaul locations had bad reviews. I would suggest making sure an employee does walk around with equipment before it leaves their lot and after truck is returned before user leaves. Truck had two holes in dashboard where a switch of some sort was suppose to be. After I dropped off truck, I was later called asking where the switch was. I informed employee that was the way it was when I picked it up. I'm glad I paid for the $15 protection plan.
