Put a sign by the trucks that says UHaul rentals around front of building, inside gas station/store.Trucks are parked behind a building, no signage and not easy to turn around once in the truck area.. Other than that, the clerk was nice, friendly and fast to issue the truck.Joseph P.

The location is a gas station/local eatery. Perhaps more signs indicating they are a U-Haul dealership would help.Samuel R.
We had a 40 minute delay getting the truck because the back gate would not open. The market attendant was alone in the store and could not leave the store for any length of time to assist, as the trucks are parked behind the market and visibility is poor. There was no one else to help or call. Finally, at her suggestion, We poured hot water on the door and it opened, even though there were no visible signs of ice. The inside of the cab was not clean and after about 2 miles after we left, the low pressure sign for one of the tires came on, so we had to stop again after already stopping to fuel the gas tank. We were on a time schedule and all of these issues put us an unexpected hour behind. Fortunately, the truck had no other maintenance issues . However, the overall initial pickup process was frustrating and not efficient due to these vehicle issues .William B.

We had reserved a truck with a two wheel dolly and moving blankets. They did not have the dolly or blankets and offered no solutions. The truck was filthy on the outside and hadn't been cleaned on the inside. Many loose items were in the cab as well. We will never use this location again.Bryce M.

Customer service was terrible. The Clark asked me to take a picture of mileage to enter so she doesn't have to check it. The truck size I booked was deemed unavailable, when I asked for the compatible size the Clark proceeds to inform me that there is only one truck a size up. On my way in I observed a truck more compatible with what I originally reserved. At check in the 2nd associate I spoke with was very dismissive. Could have cared less to be doing his job. Asked me to let him know of mileage and gas on truck so he wouldn't have to check it himself. I asked for a receipt estimate after returning the truck the Clark said they don't do print outs. When I picked up the truck I got a print out of the beginning gas and mileage. Not sure of the inconsistent information, laziness, and pure lack of effort to do anything.David N.
When I got the equipment it was very dirty with homeless persons that were smoking in the trailer when I went to hook it up to my vehicle. On top of this, I rented this back in the beginning of September 2021 and I am just now having my card charged at the end of September. I tried calling the U-Haul location and they couldn't give me an answer since they didn't have any rented out. This is very poor management of paperwork to charge me almost 4 months later.JOSHUA N.
Clean the trucks ,it was dirty on the inside, & out, tires were wore out. And I didn't get the hand truck I ordered, or the pads. Very disappointed with this, and yet you still charged me the same price. And didn't get anything I ordered. Worse experience I have ever had with U-hual.Deborah C.
Got an email that my card had been charged for 4 days of use when I only had the 10 ft truck for less than 8 hours. Ensure that the vehicle we reserved over two months ago was actually the one we received. The vehicle itself stunk of cigarette smoke and the cab was very dirty. The staff at Island Oasis 2 were extremely professional and helpful - unlike the U-Haul representatives who called us prior to our picking up the vehicle.John K.

The location not clearly marked nor easily identifiable as a uhaul location. The staff are not good at communicating and are not friendly. The trucks were extremely dirty in the cab and smelled horribly of smoke.John C.

Inside of truck was swept out but not clean. Homeless man and his dog used the truck to sleep. The truck has urine inside and not swept out. The man also had put a smear of feces around the passenger door. Not sure if it was his or the dog. There were 2 piles of feces on both sides of the truck. I also had to spray for roaches found in the truck. The person in charge of the rental was notified but did nothing. Her comments is we have had problems with the homeless. This was very disappointing as I expected much better from a U-Haul rental. I was also promised a 10% discount and furniture pads at $10 a dozen. She said I would have to go through U-Hal to get the discount and $10 per dozen pads. I had no choice but to take it as I had people waiting to load my furniture. I do expect a call for adjustments on the charges from U-Haul.Jim Y.
On Wednesday I went online reserved our truck for Saturday. On Friday about 5:30-6pm I got a call saying there were NO trucks available in our town or the next town over! She did offer me a truck at a different location for Sunday at 9am. I rearranged everything for Sunday pick up. Today (Sunday) we went to get the truck and no one showed up to give us the truck! I called uhaul again! She said there was a truck available at our original pick up and she put us down for it. I should have never been allowed to reserve a truck that wasn't available to start. This was very unprofessional! I've used uhaul before and been very satisfied.Johnny G.

I have been sent 2 emails saying I owe money and when I returned the uhaul the man at the counter said I owed 400$ when I stated there's no way because I paid 200 when i got the uhual his response was do you have paperwork. Was ran out of a gas station. When I arrived there was a homeless population hanging out outside. When I went inside I had to wait for the attendant to go back and forth between myself doing uhaul and the gas station patrons. There was no vehicle inspection conducted by the attendee due to her being the only emoyee. There was trash and socks inside the back of one truck and inside the cab. The other truck also had trash inside cab and wasn't clean. I was also overcharged and haven't received any money back. The amount was supposed to be $115 plus taxes and insurance which equated to over $200. Then I was charged $12 for "mileage" on top of the amount already paid. The attendee said I wouldn't be charged for a hand truck because she didn't know if there was any in the trucks. This was the worst ubaul facility I have been to. Although the attendee was nice, she was not able to be efficient.Justin C.

Charged my credit card for mileage and gas even though we put gas in it when we got there and they checked it in than Later after we left we get emailed saying we were charged $32 for gas. Had to go back several times for them to check the uhaul in due To not having actual paper work only had it on email. I work in customer Service and this is not how I would treat someone.Bailey M.

U-haul online check in took half an hour to work, and then I still had to go into the store, whose internet was down. What's the point? And for the truck return, the website told me to use the key dropbox, but there wasn't one. I had to go back in the store and complete check in the old way.Brian F.

The truck was dirty and in bad shape when received. There were scratches, dents, stains, and a 3/4 tank of gas. We were very unhappy with location because there were people laying behind the building very obviously on something, homeless people sitting on the uhauls, and people trying to trick the cashier into selling them cigarettes under age. It was a very bad experience to say the least. When we got there, they didn't even have the truck we reserved and we did not get the $50 reservation guarantee refund... It was a fight to get the same price on the one up than the one we got and they were asking us to drive an extra hour to a different location and spend more mileage, then to just give us the next size up from the one we reserved.Corbin P.

It's a convenience store/gas station so there is a lot of traffic. It was one guy working the store so was multitasking. I got friendly service and I appreciated the pleasant conversation with the gentleman attending me. I only wish I could have gotten exclusive service, but I understand the gentleman was in charge of the whole gas station by himself. Thank you U-Haul for great rates and making my move possible.
