I made a reservation for 1:30, but office was closed upon arrival. Sign on door said "back at 2:30". Came back at 2:30 & sign on door said "checking facility, back soon". Truck had 1/4 tank gas & was told they close at 5pm & wouldn't reopen until Monday. If I didn't want to be charged for 2nd day, would need to find another location open Sunday.Couldn't leave personal car there overnight, it would be towed. The computer kept trying to charge me $600 for 1 day, expecting less than 25 miles.

The U-Haul had garbage and a dirty mattress in it from a prior customer. No one at the facility had checked the U-Haul to ensure it was clean and empty. I had to drive back to the facility to unload the dirty mattress from the prior customer.

On the printout of the receipt that you receive when paying for the rental at the time a person picks up the rental, have a prominent list of instructions, in large bold print, explaining what a person needs to do upon return of the rental, especially if after hours with THE phone number prominently displayed who to call for help and where to drop the keys for the rental! Also that explained to the person doing the renting when they pick up the rental just to avoid any confusion!

When I arrived for a reserved truck, there was no one at the u-haul location well after opening. The employee arrived about 10 minutes later, stating they "had to go out to Amscott". Furthermore, the truck did not have an "Ez-Load Ramp" and everything had to be loaded up into the truck after being taken down three flights of stairs. I am definitely looking into taking my business elsewhere next time I am moving.

We called Uhaul at 12:30 & made a 1:15 pickup appt . When we arrived at the I Storage location at 1:20 it was closed until 2:20. We returned at 2:30 and picked up the truck. But when I went to return it at 5 it was already closed even though the sign on the door read open till 6pm.

I paid for a dolly that I did not receive. I would recommend that the truck be checked over with the customer before letting the customer leave the parking lot.

one of the tires had a piece of rubber out of the tire, and had to be taken to yet another U-HAUL place to have it changed. should have been noticed before someone rented it, and should have equipment and materials on hand at that location

If the customer drops the truck off on time on a Saturday afternoon at the 24-hour drop box, the owner of the location must finalize the contract first thing Monday morning. Instead, the customer should not receive a text message Monday late morning indicating that the customer has an overdue rental, should not have to call UHaul to clear things up and be promised that all is okay, only to receive a text message Monday afternoon that the truck rental is overdue and have to call UHaul again. This is entirely unacceptable and it is no excuse that the owner of the location is too busy to finalize the contract.
