The truck bed cargo area hadn't been swept from the previous customer. But i swept it out before i loaded and after i used it.terri B.

We reserved a truck at Storage Plus in Mineral Wells, Tx. They did not have the truck we reserved, so they sent us to Jakes Convenience Store #3 where it took an hour to actually obtain the vehicle. We spent 20-25 minutes on the phone w/ Uhaul rep answering questions we had filled out online the night before. Our truck was blocked in by 2 other Uhaul trucks and WE had to move them ourselves. We had a 4 hour drive to our destination; we were scheduled to leave town at 12:00 but did not get on the road until 2:00 because of all the delays getting the rental truck. We were so rattled because of all the hoops we had to jump through, we didn't notice the truck only had 1/2 a tank of gas until we were 30 minutes out of town. So then we had to stop and get gas!!! It was so frustrating and made for a very long day. We will not be using this site for rental EVER AGAIN.Kade H.

There is no heads up that everything has to happen online at this location. There's some suggestion that you *can* do things online, but no CLEAR heads up there's no traditional checkout. However in addition to the online setup, there's a ridiculous rule that you need to have a person U-Haul can contact IMMEDIATELY as you're checking out so they have someone on file "in case you're running a few minutes behind." Of course on a workday that may be next to impossible and they refuse to rent to you until you can find an alternative. What if you have no family or friends? How worthless is this rule? It's so worthless that one could, in theory of course, use a different number with another name sent to your own phone that one could self-verify that they won't be "running a few minutes late." Complete nonsense - either figure out a better way to track your vehicles, or come up with a better point of security. This one is just a waste of time for everyone involved.William M.
