I had to go 20 miles down the road to get it. It seems Uhaul should have known that when I reserved it. Computers, you know. But that was not the fault of place where I picked up the trailer.

If it were to be as professional, timely, and as courteous and friendly a transaction as my recent rental certainly was.. there is nothing to improve upon ! Mr. Graves and staff were refreshingly polite, expedient and very helpful throughout with their guidance to each step of the procedure.

I had to wait well over 30 minutes for my rental to be ready as the truck wasn't even at the location. Once it arrived they didn't even check the cargo area as there were still items from the previous renter. The only reason I would recommend this location is because it's the only one within 45 minutes of the area

Too expensive. I could rent a car for a week in what is cost for 12 hours. I could see a mileage charges to recoup fuel costs. But returning the vehicle with the same or better amount of gas should negate it (or at least be taken into account). That dollar per mile makes the rental fee plastered on the sides of the trucks give a false sense of what the actual cost will be.

Inside of trailer needs to be checked for cleanliness. my trailer had grease all over the interior side of the door.

Folks at Jarvis Hardware were helpful and wanted to make sure I had knowledge of everything that goes with renting and using a truck. Very friendly and willing to answer questions with clear, positive answers. I would go back there anytime I need to rent a truck to make a move. The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been a small cooler with free ice and soft drinks in the cab of the truck.

Pretty aggravated that I first had to drive to Ripley, WV to a place that wasn't even open then had to drive the next day to a Montgomery, WV. For a total of about 150 miles on my vehicle. Honestly, my overall experience thus far has been one of the worst experiencees of my life. Todd was very helpful in getting me fixed after the first blunder but the St. Albans location has units sitting in their lot. Pretty frustrating.

I got charged extra when I dropped truck off an hour early and with a quarter more gas then it started with.. The guy did not want to listen to me.. and he did not act like he knew what he was doing. Will never come back

I ordered moving pads. Paid for a dozen. The retailer I formed me that there were only 6 and I paid for 12. The bag on the truck said break the seal to access the pads it was ripped off the wall and the 6 pads he had were in the floor. Same as the dolly. There was no seal to break. I chose uhaul over budget because the research I done made me choose your truck. I am on a budget. We all know moving is expensive. I only moved 40 miles but was extremely upset when I learned I had to bring the truck back to that location instead of a dealer that is 2 blocks from my new house. So I stead of paying for 40 miles I had to pay double trip to 40 miles back 40 miles. Add 2 times as much as I had expected to pay. 80 miles at .89 a mile added up not including having to fill the gas so making a trip back I had replace 2 times the fuel I originally thought. So between the charge for moving pads that were dirty and were only 6 when I paid for 12 and and having to double my mileage cost and double my fuel costs. I'm not a happy customer.

I was happy with the truck and the service I received, but am not happy that I was charged for blankets and a dolly. I didn't open the bag, I didn't remove the dolly from the wall. There was a loose blanket in the box, and I didn't even use that one. So to be charged for both is something that I consider to be unacceptable. If this is common U-Haul practice, then I definitely won't be using U-Haul again.

Keep up the good work. We were suppose to pick up the truck in South Charleston, but the day before we were inform that we had to go to Montgomery, WV. Which was 20 minutes out of our way. But U-haul issued us a $50 credit for the inconviences and did not charge us for the extra mileage. Entering Mongomery, there was a car show going on. The men in are car were excited. After picking up truck, we spend over an hour walking through the town of Montgomery. Thanks U-haul. We had a great time in Montgomery!!

Had to drive 40miles (one way )out of my way to pick up only reserved size truck in state after being told a week prior from local store they would have what I needed when I needed it. After paying over $1700 in cash, the truck was the biggest piece of junk and I was so afraid it would never get me and my child to our destination which was over 1000 miles away!! Once I arrived at destination and friends drove uhaul for one block, they refused to let me drive any further!!

The location itself was fine, but uhaul as a business is poor. I will be using budget trucking for any further truck rentals!
