It was raining out when I dropped off the trailer, and I had to disconnect it myself. Oh well, it's a trailer, and I can't blame the fella working there for not wanting to get soaked to the bone, especially when he's probably not getting paid enough.

Answer the phone i got stuck on the side of the road me and myfamily the truck broke down had a power steering leak bad and brakes went out on me I was scared for my life I want reimbursement I tried calling but no one answer the phone

I made this reservation through the north charleston location. I was told it was a "Charleston" floating truck and it would be at the location Maccorkle Avenue location for pick up on the scheduled date. I confiirmed the availability of this truck at the maccorkle avenue location - online before I paid -just to make sure. When we arrived at Maccorkle Avenue location, they knew nothing of our reservation - that no one had notified us. They still had a truck for us, but our move was delayed because they had to scramble to get everything prepared - as they were not prepared at all to complete our transaction. this put us behind on our moving schedule. Very disappointed that on a stressful moving day that this unnecessary stress was added in.

The overall appearance of the truck inside and out was good. The only problem was the steering wheel was sticky and the cab smelled like a locker room at a homeless shelter.

Trailer was in horrible shape upon pickup. Wheel broke off axel while driving on the interstate. Situation could have been much worse than it fortunately was. Roadside Assistance was tremendously helpful in getting us back on the road though.

I have never had a problem with this particular drop off location. This past time was an after hours drop off and someone must've came in and checked the truck back in because I received an email stating it was completed.

I didn't realize that the dolly had to be rented. I seen it on the website but my past rentals had it included without additional payment. By the time I realized we didn't have it, we couldn't go back to get it d/t the additional mileage that would have incurred. Overall happy with everything

I would like when I rent next to pick up a uhaul within the 5 miles of area dealer. Last 3 times I think I have had to go way ( 30miles) out of my way to pick up and drop off. I reserve at a local dealer but it's never local anymore. And I was charged mileage on p/u and drop/off 30 miles away agein. I have no clue how they charged on bill but I know way more than expected. Plus the gas tank was messed up. I couldn't put gas in because it was running straight to the ground. SCAREY Alone at 2am I may add.

The equipment was not in safe driving condition when picked up. Personnel was extremely rude when we explained that we had movers scheduled and needed to get on the road. Not helpful at all with the problem with the truck and informed us that we should drive it with a cut gas line to our location and then roadside assistance could take it from there. Completely unsafe and unprofessional.

I ordered a 10ft truck because I had a narrow road to drive. They gave me a larger truck without asking and gave my 10ft to someone else. I had even called the day before to confirm the 10ft was available. Not happy.

The truck's right side mirrors were both cracked and they had given the truck we asked for to someone else. But this is rather typical for U-Haul.

The location and the staff I dealt with were fine but U-haul in general I haven't had problems with in the past till this past Christmas weekend and ongoing until the other day. I just sent this letter to them...... I recently rented an auto transport. I was to pick it up and return it locally. I was planning to use it two ways, to take a car a couple hundred miles away and then bring one back. Turned out I didn't need to bring the one back so I called the 800 number and talked to a lady about getting my drop off location changed, knowing it would double my rate but also not have to take an empty trailer down a couple hundred miles of crowded highways, She said she modified my drop off location and everything was good just drop it off. So I did exactly where I was told I could. A while later I got an e-mail saying the trailer wasn't returned etc... I called and the person I talked to call around and low and behold it was where I had left it, those people hadn't logged it and your own system didn't seem to know I was going to drop it there even though I called and set it up. Now fast forward a week or so, my phone pops up a voicemail from uhaul saying the trailer is still missing and will be reported stolen. I call AGAIN for the third time to fix YOUR mistake. The guy I talked to looked it up and said oh it's been transferred in but not logged in properly I'll get it fixed. Basically I don't appreciate being harassed for your mistakes and I doubt if I'll be using your services in the future, even if I need them, I'll find another way.
