I paid for a dolly and furniture pads, but neither of them were in the truck. I had to buy a dolly to move my things. I also had issues with the check in process, which delayed my pickup time by 2 hours. I spoke with an agent and she refunded me for the dolly rental and said she would move my pick up time by 2 hours. When I returned the truck the following morning, that location tried to charge me $40 for being 1 hour late. They said that my time didn't change and that my account was not updated. When I showed up at 810am for my 8am pickup no one was there. The truck was not clean and the place does not know how to use the uhaul website. I had ordered furniture pads but they did not provide them. The truck had 1/4 of fuel which sucks and I returned it with 1/2 tank but did not recieve any credit for the extra gas I had to buy them. Will not use them again and wish uhaul would reimburse me.david R.

Picked up a U-Haul from this location through reservation made via the U-Haul site. The owner of this shop is SO INCREDIBLY rude. My pick up time was for 4:30. They called me at 1:22 to confirm, no mention of anything else. I call them at 4:20 and tell them I'm running a bit late, stuck in traffic. All is ok, no mention of anything else. I get a call at 4:39 asking where I'm at. I was literally next door to them, I had my vehicle in reverse to pull out the wrong drive I had accidentally pulled in to. I pulled up and the guy is waiting outside his shop door. As soon as I step out of my vehicle, I'm greeted with him angrily yelling across that he has to be somewhere at 4:45. Something that hadn't been mentioned in any of the other previous phone calls, even when I called to notify I was going to be late. I realize my tow is not there, and they were a few minutes behind me (literally down the street also stuck in traffic and showed up before this guy even finished the paperwork for the rental). His response is, and I quote, â€œWell, they have THREE minutes.â€ By this time I've walked up to the door and can see the shop hours posted for M-F 8-5, which I point out. He responds that he leaves when he wants to or when the reservation is done. I respond with well, the reservation isn't done. And he again reiterated that I had three minutes. Told him he could either wait or cancel the reservation and I'd get it from somewhere else. He decided he wanted to change his tune. He did the paperwork for the rental, hooked up the trailer, and still had ten minutes to spare before his closing time. Aside from the rudeness from the owner, the shop was dirty and the outside appearance of the business was definitely not that great. At the very least, do yourself a favor and don't pick up any U-Haul rentals from this guy.Alisha S.

My problem was with the national service. They told me a truck was ready at a location in Diamondhead, MS. It was not the correct truck. Then they said that a 24/7 truck was available at Jeff Tire & Aubomotive in Gulfport, MS with the 1 dozen blankets, 1 furniture dolly, and 1 hand truck that I had ordered. The location in Gulfport is 19 miles from the location that I had originally reserved the truck to be picked up at. I saw Jeff (owner) when I was picking up the truck, and he told me that the truck did not have the additional items in it, and that he could not provide them. I do not view this as his fault, but as the fault of the 800 number customer service reps who assured me that those items would be in the truck.. As for the truck, it was fine. I use Uhaul regularly for work, and have generally had good service, and equipment. This was a personal move, and was the worst experience that I have had. To be clear: Jeff Tire & Automotive was not the problem, and even though it was a 24/7 rental, he came out and provided me with good information even though I was picking the truck up after hours. The owner who helped us was very nice however the size truck we requested was not there so we ended up with a larger truck which ended up fine but at the time was frustrating. I had never driven a uhaul before so was nervous and he did not explain anything to us and did not go over damages or anything on the truck like I've had them do in the past.Christina A.

Jeff was rude. When I picked the truck up, he was told multiple times that the truck would be returned to another location. He agreed & said it was fine. Called a few days later DEMANDING the truck be returned to him. Then he denied that he said it was okay for the truck to be returned to Parkers. My reservation was wrong. The owner (Jeff) was very rude and pushy. The was for a military move and he made the process more stressful then it already was. The truck was dirty when I got it. It broke down on me enroute to my location. I was charged twice for the transaction, I am still trying to get that fixed. Will never use Uhaul again and strongly recommend anyone I know to do the same.Josh K.

The agent was very good at this location; however, overall I'm very unhappy with my experience with U-Haul for this move. I reserved a 10' truck for the next day, at a preferred location directly across the street from the move location. I was informed that someone would contact me from U-Haul by 6:00 p.m. to confirm the time and location. My preferred contact was via telephone; however, I was never contacted by telephone. The next morning, shortly before departing to pick up the truck, an email from U-Haul had arrived informing me that the pick-up location had changed, giving me that address. When arriving at that location, I was informed that they did not have a confirmed reservation and there was no truck. The staff at John Fayard in Gulfport could not have been nicer or more helpful, and did finally arrange another truck at another location. This location was a good bit further away, which made us late to meet the movers, who are on an hourly rate. Additionally, as the final location was so far away, I incurred extra costs in driving to and from that location.Dixie V.

My pick-up time was at 8:00, I sat in my car from 8:00 to 8:15, then called the number posted on the sign and got a hold of Jeff, who showed up 5 minutes later, don't offer 8:00 pick-ups if you don't open that early. When I began my inspection of the trailer I noticed the top driver side directional did not work, Jeff, the owner came over to help out and checked the passenger side directional, when I asked him about it, he said that the top ones do not flash, so I let it go. When I checked the lights after I had packed and was ready to get on the road, I noticed that the top passenger side directional did flash which means that the driver side should have, so it became apparent that Jeff did indeed lie to my face. I don't appreciate nor tolerate unethical behavior like that.MATTHEW M.

I showed up for pickup at 8:05 am Sat. March 15 th. No one was available to check Out the trailer to me. I eventually called Uhaul and did it over the phone and was given permission to hook the trailer up myself. All Uhaul Trucks at the location were open and dolleys in each in which I also ordered and was given permission to take one by Haul. After struggling to get the trailer on truck and pulling out, the owner of the place pulls in to drive. Its 9:20 am at this time. Makes me go in and tells me he hasn't been gone but for 10 min. I said No Sir that is incorrect. Trailer was filthy. Lights were all not operating. I have rented from Uhaul several times in past. 5 times in past few years.
