I ended up at this location because U-Haul did not honor my original reservation scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at 808 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD. When I arrived, the attendant called his supervisor, who informed me over the phone that I would need to wait more than an hour, or until he returned. This was unacceptable. The attendant then directed me to another location at 7112 Crain Hwy, approximately 10 minutes away. Upon arrival, I was informed that my reservation had not been transferred, requiring me to complete the registration process again. Due to the poor service at the 808 Crain Hwy location and the contrast with the faster, more accommodating service at 7112 Crain Hwy, I can only rate my overall experience with U-Haul on January 24, 2026, as 2 stars (below average).

There were no on-site personnel. There is no business signage to verify this is correct location. I had to disconnect trailed myself. There was no indication anyone had been on-site since the snow storm Sunday. Plowing was minimal.

OLABODE OConsider the charge per mile. There are some other U-Haul distributors in the area that are a little further away, approximately 10 miles, that only charges $1.39 a mile for the same vehicle when using it from almost 300 miles that would be over $120 that I would’ve saved.

We were charged $1.79 a mile with NO miles free. Called twice to discuss and when representative called back he told me I misunderstood him. Lesson learned, won’t rent here again.

GREGG BAll went well. Should check the truck. Engine seems to work real hard on take off. Trans sometimes jerks on low speed braking. Once going over 100 mph it runs well 😁

LAWRENCE LThere was no improvement needed. Jokingly, if I had been shorter than 5'5" it would've been difficult to read the code for the lock boxes (the ones located at the top). A light would have also been convenient but I imagine most people just use the flashlight feature on their cellular telephones. I wish I would've use U-Haul earlier because it would've saved me so much money. Next time. Thank you for having trucks available and I appreciate your service.

LUNDY TI was charged for a 186 miles trip when I actually only drove 25 miles from Bowie, MD to Upper Marlboro, MD. It's unfair to be charged $426 for a short trip! I rented from Uhaul not expecting this kind of problem! I have a picture of the initial mileage of the odometer, which was incorrect in the receipt. I filed a dispute through the Uhaul app and was told that I have to wait for 3 days for this issue to be resolved. I hope this gets resolved soon as I need my money for other moving expenses.

THOMAS ARented two trucks, 10ft and 15ft, within two weeks of each other from the JK2Auto and both trucks were in good running condition. Pick-up with the U-Haul App can be a little challenging with saving the photos at times, but overall experience was good. I’d rent from this location again.

We had a lot of difficulty pulling those out and wrapping our tires securely and constantly had to retighten. The difficulty led to our car bouncing around so much at one point that it bounced o. the front of the trailer. Then we couldn't take the straps off and the Uhaul staff who also tried ended up cutting the straps

I was hoping it would be an easy fix but the online app kept giving me memory error and would not let me upload the picture of the odometer reading. I know it's only a mile but it still adds up when you are paying by the mile.
