Towing trailer was reserved for pick up at 8am. We waited for an hour and 15 mins for the person working at this location to finally decide to show up. Another customer showed up while we were waiting and walked over to this employees home to wake them up. When he finally showed up there was no apology and was rude telling us he opens at 10am. Did not assist in helping set up the trailer and was really unprofessional. Something was wrong with the wire on the trailer that it kept turning off the lights. We needed to tow a car from Toronto and back to our home in Chatham so the delay on pick up messed our whole day up making the whole process take all day. I picked up in London Ontario 07 May at 9:10 am, hauled my golf cart to my summer camp in Port Glasgow, and returned the trailer to West Lorne Ontario before 3:30. Nobody came out to check on us, the guy behind the counter took my paperwork, checked his computer, and told me I was good to go. The next day an additional charge showed up on my credit card listing that I'd not returned the trailer until 12:01 pm the day after I'd actually returned it. I called K&M and the guy tells me I need to deal with U-Haul and not him. But, it was him who didn't in-process my trailer until the day after I actually returned it. Neither U-Haul or K&M have responded to my challenge of the additional charges. I am now having to dispute the charge through my bank and will NEVER do business with U-Haul or K&M after this. I had a neighbor with me when I returned the trailer so there is independent verification of my return date and time but u-haul and K&M seem to be desperate for an extra $30+ dollars they don't deserve.Grover M.

I reserved a truck at the Ridgetown location and when I drove there to pick up the truck, they had no trucks avaialable nor did they recieve my order from U-Haul online reservation system I had to drive a total of 74 KM out of my way to pick up and return the truck from another location. I would expect a refund on the extra kilometers I had to travel due to the error from U-Haul. In the future I will look at other companies for my moving rentals in the event this is not refunded. I was over charged and given a really hard time by the u-haul dealer in west lorne ontario. Rented a small cube truck at 19.95 per day on 17th july at 3PM.I paid $115.00 at this time. I no sooner got home and received a text message that I needed to return by 6pm on same day. I drove my car back to talk to the dealer and he said just have it back in the morning. I always thought that a day rental was 24 hours. The dealer then told me to take a snapshot of the mileage and gas level on my cell phone and be sure i filled back to this level upon return. Im wondering why i was charged 59 cents per mile then and still have to put gas in it. I drove a total of 40 miles. Swept it nice and clean. Then he proceeded to tell me the amount of gas I put in wasn't enough. He told me it had 3/4ths of a tank. I was clearly between half and 3/4. I showed him my snapshot on my phone and he just sat there looking at me with a disgusting look on his face. When all said and done he gave me back $25. All said and done I paid $90 plus $10 gas to go 40 miles. I feel over charged and upset with the way I was treated. Never before have I had such a horrible experience. Furthermore I didnt receive any contract.I contacted U-haul customer service and told them of my unpleasant experience. They turned it over to the field manager for further investigation. All said and done the receipt the customer service said he should of gave me $35.03 back in cash with a receipt. I received $25 and no proof of anything. This guy is a total fuctard and has no business representing U-haul. Never again will I use this dealer. Stay away!!!!!!!WILBERT B.

Have the trucks filled before use. A quarter tank was risky and makes it harder to refill before returning. Clean up the store area and organize where U-haul products are kept. Perhaps have some common products like matress covers, boxes and protectors.JEFFREY K.

I believe the attendant was stoned when we arrived to drop the truck off. In the future we will use ANY alternative to UHaul after this experience. Pick up time was 8am in West Lorne. Store employee didn't open until 8:15. I was given no paperwork to keep with me, only text / email confirmation that I could access on my phone. There was no inspection of the vehicle prior to leaving and no cart in the truck upon arrival at the move out location. Went back to the store for the cart and asked about paperwork. Store clerk had no idea what I was talking about - specifically the chart that indicates how much fuel is needed to return to the 1/2 tank I left with.April L.

First off the guy made us wait 20-25 min to acutually help us with the uhaul rental we had all ready scheduled so he could finish his order for his convenient store he had then he did not due a proper inspection of the truck then on top that put the wrong amount of fuel on the card that was actually in the truck then we got dinged for it as well ! When we ordered the truck the lady on the phone failed to tell us that uhaul don't charge for Saturday and sundays and we picked it up Thursday paid for 4 whole days then dropped it off Monday morning only to find out we got fucked for the 2 extra days we didn't need or use it now uhaul will take my money and make a profit by re renting out the truck! Really nice! I will never recommend or use uhaul ever again the service was shit and disappointing! Never again!jeremy G.

Better knowledge on what needs to be checked or done at a drop off situation. I was told i didn't have to do anything and I could leave so I did and the personnel came out after me and I ended up having to stay for about 10 Mins. Which isn't bad until you think you're allowed To leave and get pulled back and walked to the truck, to the store, to the truck, to the store. Maybe just going over what steps need to be done at pick ups and drop offs are a good idea.Kendall W.

This was the opposite from pick up. The guy was really friendly and spokes english. Besides that, the Uhaul system did not work, the guy called the head office and there was nothing they could do, I paid 11.30 more than I should because of system errors.Bruno P.
The key was supposed to be found in a lock box in the back of the trailer, after searching the trailer for a few minutes we found the key shoved in the furniture pad in the back, anyone could have driven away with the truck.Steven K.
Only location close to choose from. Its a typical small town gas station. We made the retailer aware of safety concerns of the trucks tires as the back tires where down to the wear bar and the front tires were worn so bad on the outside they were bald and ready to pop. The retailer did not care or check the vehicle. Not impressed and would not recommend if you have another option. Vehicle maintenance was poor.Amanda H.

Variety store clerk/owner was very slow to acknowledge my daughter and I were there. Not keen to assist. I didn't realize there would be an additional charge for dropping at a different location. My fault for stating Local Move. Left truck with about $30 more in fuel - that could have offset the $12 drop location fee. Not offered. $1.50 per litre penalty to return with less but not even $1.00 credit offered for overage. The offer, at the very least, would have been nice.APRIL L.

The manager at this location does not have any customer service attitude. We rented a ramp trailer to pull a golf cart to Florida. When I entered the store he sat on his chair behind his cash counter and continued through my whole time there chew on things...I think it was sunflower seeds but could be wrong. He was hard to understand. He asked for a credit card to have on file - I explained that there was already one on file for when I first reserved the trailer the Dutton dealer inputted one plus I had paid the $321 on credit card already. Again, he still demanded one again - gave him one to appease him. He then told me that "I had" to take the insurance and pay $75 for it (I was advised that I did NOT HAVE to take it) and last time I called to confirm my reservation I was informed that it was just the $41+ (taxes on $321) that I had left owing. He continued to argue with me that I needed to get the insurance or I couldn't have the trailer...to shut him up and so I could get on the road I said fine..so now it was $135+ I had to pay...because I was paying this by debit and not on my credit card he forced me to pay a $60 deposit as well - said I had to or the trailer couldn't be released - final bill was now $185+. My husband was outside and was having trouble getting the trailer to latch over the ball on the hitch so he went outside then to help him, bounced it a few times so it went over the ball, somewhat hand tightened it and when we tried to ask a couple questions he said everything was fine and he needed to finish the paperwork. We went back inside to finish up - while I paid his inflated amount he printed our paperwork on the backside of someone else's is paperwork and ours was very hard to read - just ask the dealer who we returned the trailer to. I immediately called Uhaul to discuss the deposit I had to pay and was informed that I shouldn't of had to pay it - was told it would be reimbursed back to me. At home my husband had to work on the hitch for it still seemed like it had play in it - more then it should but with not knowing ourselves we packed the stuff and headed out the next morning. While on the road I called Uhaul to express our concern - bad connection so person had to call me back - now I have 2 long distance roaming charges on my cell phone which I wasn't planning on using while in the states...not happy about that for I was informed that I should locate and stop at a Uhaul to have it checked out. First one we stopped at was no longer there...2nd one took some time to find and man was somewhat busy so we lost 30 mins of travel time. When he finally helped us he was very nice, he got the hitch a bit tighter - informed us that it would not come off but to make sure we told whoever we dropped it off to the clamp/lock - whatever is where the ball goes into needs to be replaced. He said he would of done it there for us but didn't have any. We carried on our way. Having this experience we most certainly hope thatPam H.

I has to wait over 20 minutes on the phone to customer service and when someone finally answered it sounded like he just woke up and made no apologies. my experience was awful and this is because the uhaul screwed up our reservation even though we got a 100% GUARANTEE email!!! No trailer on site when needed, so our pick up was extended to an hour extra of driving to pick one up int he next city that had any left in stock...we had A LOT of difficulties getting them to allow us to drop off the trailer in the location it was suppose to be picked up vs the location we drove way out of our way to drop off at. apparently there ramp utility trailers although online have an our of city rate are not suppose to be rented out of town; some faulse advertising...in addition to their lie on their website where they claime to reimburse $50 for ANY mistake and we had a lot that day. total BS< would never go back!greg H.

Put customers in order they come in, not make them wait 50 minutes to get trailer by taking everyone else ahead. Make sure they are able to quickly fill the forms so people can get going. Make sure the trailers are checked so doors are in good condition and don't fly open when driving. Make sure inside trailer is ready and not full of things they are storing!!DEBRA P.

I found the phone agents were not nice and made the whole process extremely difficult. I was forced to go over an hour out of London just to get the truck because they had nothing available, even though I was able to book for pickup in London. Ed, the gentleman who runs this location, was very helpful and apologetic even though he was not to blame for the far travel we had to take to get the truck or the hour he spent on the computer to finish our transaction. I would hate to use uhaul again for these reason, but unfortunately they are the cheapest and have the most locations.Ronald M.
