I have been driving for over 50 years and in that time I have rented numerous trucks from U-Haul and competitors. This experience, renting a U Haul truck from Kelly Chevron Food Mart in McDonough GA was by far the best ever. Also I ordered a dolly and was told they didn't have any upon arrival so I had to spend extra Money and waste time renting one from Home Depot. The online app is super slow, it took over 30 minutes to go thru the process. The other problem was we wanted a dolly but did not get one. Left a message in the store about not receiving the dolly and just wanted The $7 charge to be refunded or returned. Still waiting to hear from someone.Wanda H.

Manny, the person who runs this location was not there when I arrived at 09:00 to pick up the 26' truck. The lady who works at the convenient store said she had nothing to do with U-Haul and then gave me a key. I went out to the truck and it would not start, battery was dead. The lady called Manny and he went somewhere and picked up another truck. He arrived at his Chevron station at 10:30 with another truck. I walked up to him and ask is that my truck and he walked past me and said "in a minute" in a rude tone of voice. I waited outside for awhile and went in. There was confusion about how many blankets I had rented, it was supposed to be 12 for a charge of $10.00. He told me I rented 1 blanket for $1.00 and showed me on his computer screen. We got the blanket issue resolved. I was supposed to be notified via text and phone where to return the truck. I never was notified so on Saturday I called U-Haul to find out where to take the truck. I've got to check with my credit card company to see if I was billed correctly since Manny did 2 different contracts and I was told I would receive a $50.00 refund, WOW... I was also told the Regional Sales Manager would contact me regarding all of the issues I've had with U-Haul. Guess what, NO phone call. Thankfully I will never have to do any business with U-Haul again.Roy D.

I was simply handed a key to the truck. I reserved one appliance dolly and two furniture dollys. The latter was not available. I had to call and find another Uhaul facility on Avalon Prkwy (Ga) to rent them.after returning truck and ALL equipment. I turned in the keys and NO ONE asked me about the service, After I returned home I was charged $160 for a missing appliance dolly! After spending another 30 mins on the phone I left a complaint. The next day I rcv'd an email saying my money would be refunded in 3-5 business days.donna S.

The truck was dirty and smelled very bad The service was poor there was one person in the store it was a gas station and she had to work the store and the uhaul rental. No one checked the truck she said the gas on on a quarter but it was lower the light was on that it need air in the tire. On return it was the worst uhaul experience I have ever had. Pick up time was 12:30 the truck was blocked in advised the rep. Left cane back truck wasn't moved and the gate on the back was stuck someone let it up and it wouldn't come down there was a different rep I asked why the truck was still blocked in she stayed the other rep doesn't care or put effort in if she was supposed to move it .. she traded the truck do to the gate error on the truck I left at 2:40 ... called customer service to inform of poor service.. was only given keys and no further info....drop off was 8:30pmRyan J.

The locations were fine but U-Haul as a company was vastly disappointing. I was given the run around, the trucks I reserved were given away twice, customer service changed my pickup location to almost two hours away from my agreed upon locale and no one seemed to care enough to take responsibility for the situation. I'm pregnant and was running around for 8 hours in100 degree heat because no one could get their shit together. The staff wasn't friendly. I was told I didn't have a reservation and I had one in my hand. No one explained the contract or any details without me asking. The truck smelled like a drunk person. As well as the engine light was on. I was told that was because the truck needed an oil change. I brought the truck back and they were too busy to inspect the truck or verify my gas. Since it is a gas station, that definitely is not the best location for a U-haul. I would never go there again.Dionne S.

People who rent uhaul needs to know how to do the reservation. It took me almost 3 hours to get the truck after I called uhaul and spoke with customer service but before I called customer service I was entering my info into the computer behind the stores counter I got to a point I didn't know what to put that's so customer service told the lady to come out of the computer on uhaul she said I don't know how I said I do I reached over there and hit off I told the lady I got the computer off she did my reservation when we was done she told the girl at the store to give me the keys to the truck the girl said no she wasn't giving me the keys customer service lady told her 3 more times she still said no I'm not giving her the keys CS at uhaul told her manning who ever he is was calling the store so she went to answer the phone I took the keys so the uhaul waited on me to crank up checking the miles and gas. She was emailing me my receipt. So now the truck was crummy the steering wheel was to lose u had to man handle this truck. I'm going to say regardless of the crummy truck I had 2 packers sitting for 2 hours waiting on me and this truck to load the man that brought me to runs a lawn mower service so now has to call his help and tell them he is going to be late. So I have 3 guys now to pay cause my UHAUL truck is sitting there at the store with a girl who has no clue what to do. But it's my fault I was told everything don't go as planned well sorrry I don't work like that. Now it's 1:57 when I pulled out of the i storage that Mr Tom Meyers is over as well that's another ball game with the Manager Tina. I drive this truck 10 miles to Locust Grove GT IM doing good to keep this truck in my lane. So now I have to call my unloaders crew that was going to unload me at 4-5 o'clock Wednesday nope had to post pawn them till Thursday but he squeeze me in on thurs but he knew when I told him the deal trying to get the truck and the time it took me to get to Ocala he brought 5 guys with him cause he New I had to pay for the loaders sitting in the car. I call back to uhaul what do with the truck I have no way home. Wednesday the guy was going to let one of his guys follow me to uhaul on Wednesday after noon as self drop off. But it's really strange Tom Meyer's the general area manager calls my phone Thursday morning at 8ish hey Ms West this is Tom Myers I've heard what happened yday I said you don't even want to know I bust out crying well I'm sorry this happened we are pulling the trucks from this location and don't by chevron gas ever. I told him everything I said the truck will either go or blow oh he's mr nice guy I have ask for a copy of the calls when I spoke to uhal every time I ask for a copy of the call. What is wrong uhaul I finally got a ride from someone to pick me up if not lyft was 35.00 to pick me out. And boy when that truck is returned I'm still in uhaul guess who calls Tom Myers I sit outside 45 minutes arguing with him he can give me 10% oBarbara W.
