I scheduled a counter pickup. When I got there they were closed. I hit a Ring doorbell and started talking to a man. That was one person. Then, Anthony called me and said he changed it this morning to a remote pickup. I was not notified of this. He then told me to get the key out of the lock box and take the truck. The truck that I was assigned to was hooked up to a car trailer that I had to take off. I did not know how to do that and struggled for about 15 minutes until a man came to help. Then we struggled for about 30 minutes and finally got the trailer off of the truck. Unfortunately this was a bad start to our 14 hour day. In addition to all of this the truck has a major leak in the exhaust and was extremely loud during the entire trip. I would not recommend this U-Haul location in the future.

We were overcharged by 75 miles at $1.19 a mile. We never left Lansing/East Lansing and only had the truck for 3 hours most of that parked loading and unloading at dorms and storage areas. We went maybe 25 miles. We were charged for 100. I was in a hurry to make a plane in Detroit after moving my daughter out of her dorm and failed to take a picture of the odometer. Lesson learned.

Donna JUsed a car hauler but the straps are worn a bit, it's winter and the straps are stiff and frozen covered in ice which made it harder to use but we got it figured out. End of traps are worn and frayed.

JACQUELINE ALocation wasn't open when I went to pick-up my truck. The location is not in the best part of Lansing. Dissatisfied that U-Haul changed my original pick-up location to the LA Automall. People were nice but delayed my trip by not being open.
