I picked up a Uhaul van from this location and dropped it off at this very location. The man who initially processed my rental hopped into the van and asked me to drive one block down and make a left, then a right on to Park Ave to a secluded area (at night). He hopped out the car and I got out assuming he had to inspect the car/gas/mileage. Instead, he hopped into the car and told me to have a great night and drove off. I couldn't have been more frightened walking by myself back to the drop off location. Park Avenue is known for high crime and drug abusive activities. I finally walked to the location to ask them why would he drop me off there in which they were confused as well and called him to return. Upon his arrival, I told him how unprofessional it was to leave me there. He told me he was sorry and assumed I knew the location (whatever that meant nor do I know the relevance to his comment ). No part of me will ever rent from that location nor recommend to anyone. I hope that this review brings awareness to ensure the safety of customers is priority and prevent a potential danger from happening.

For La Estrella -- Please make sure to clean the vehicles. My vehicle had visible dirt all over the floor and smelled weird. It was sticky throughout, but I'll give the benefit of the doubt that this was from sanitizer. If the customer gets in the vehicle and it doesn't smell like it has been cleaned, it's hard to believe it was cleaned. For U-Haul -- It is completely unacceptable to change someone's location to the Bronx last minute. For starters, you're sending people to an area where there is regularly crime -- like shootings and robberies. On top of it, I had to spend an extra $40 to get there in an Uber during covid, compared to the other location on Lexington Ave, which I could walk to. And worst, it wasted 2 HOURS of time to get there and back compared to the location I booked over a month earlier. Basically, the lack of forecasting put me at extra risk for getting covid, wasted money, wasted time, and brought me to an unsafe area.

For some weird reason the man in charge was super mean to me and unprofessional. When I got there right of the bat the said they didn't have any vans available and was really rude. I went online and reserved a van and showed that to him and he said that there were no vans again and was arguing with me. It felt like it was personal... horrible. His teenage son has more manners than him. Felt super disrespected by this stranger.

They didn't have the equipment I reserved I didn't find out till I got there to get the truck the service was horrible the truck wasn't clean out there was stuff there that I had to take out myself and throw it away like a tv stand and other stuff and when I called the guy said to put it aside and bring it back.

It is such a scam to give 3/4 of a tank and then make us return it with 3/4 of a tank. It wasn't even actually 3/4 of a tank when we got it and obviously we gave it back with more because it's impossible for most people to get it perfect filling up at a gas station. So annoying.

Not only was the truck not clean, there was broken glass in the seats from what looks like someone busting the windows out. Broken hazard flags from what looks like someone stepping or even sitting on it. The location is out of a restaurant and the persons managing this location are rude.

I scheduled to pick up the Van at 8am. I got there and the lady serving breakfast was extremely rude so I called the number on my reservation receipt. He answered and said they open at 9am. (My reservation was 8am). I waited and when he finally came, he took his time to do whatever he needed to do before attending to me. The van he gave me had the engine light on, and the number plate was different from what was on my contract so I asked to change the Van. We went up and down before he gave me another van. This other van also had a different number plate than what was on the new contract. It took over an hour trying to get him to either change the number plate to reflect what was on my contract or update my contract to reflect the number plate on the Van. There was no way he was going to do the right thing. I had already wasted a lot of my time there so I had to eventually take the Van even though the number plate was different from what was on my contract. I wish you can investigate this malpractice to save the name of U-Haul!

Waited over half an hour after opening time. I called the 347 number online and the guy picks up to say. Oh! I didn't know someone was there. I will be right there. This was my second experience with this location, but never again. Gave them a second chance, but it didn't work out.

The truck was almost 40 minutes late. The guy wasn't apologetic or sincere. The gas tank was used when we got it, I took a picture but I'm assuming U-Haul doesn't care because I called about 4 times and no answer. Wouldn't recommend this ever!!!

The man in charge was extremely rude and unprofessional. He has his son working with him, and his son did not tell us when they closed and he almost didn't accept our drop off. He charged us and walked out without letting us know we were able to leave. Extremely rude l, 10/10 would not recommend.

The Van was not ready on time. The Uhaul representative just didn't care. The van was extremely dirty. I had to take it as my appt was at 7 am and the van was given to me around 8:30. I called customer service to report my experience and was offered a $50 credit. I have not received that. When I was done with the van, the Uhaul representative didn't even say a word. It was horrible.

I waited for 3 hours for some one to return my U-Haul. He never came some one else had to do it. I was supposed to drop it off at 7 but location close at 5 and could not drop it off no we're else. Had to pay parking to drop it off the next day.

My pick up time was at 10:00am, I arrived early and I had to wait almost 1 hour to get the van. The guy in the counter has poor customer service ,he didn't know what he was doing at all, I don't recommend this location.

The staff member was unprofessional. The wait was over in an hour and there was only 2 customers in front of me. The location did not have a dolly which I ordered. In addition, they did not have the truck that I ordered. And advised me to wait. I ended up getting a smaller truck. I will never use this location. It was the worse experience I had with uhaul. It made me not want to use the company moving forward. In addition, the representative was Hispanic. And helped all the other Hispanics and not me. Subsequently, when I brought the truck back the representative was not present. A teenage boy helped me. Will not refer to anyone.

The man who manages the rentals was absolutely horrible. He was late, then we had to wait for him to open the store gates (to his side only- the store was already open), move a scooter, walk to the back and then when I said something.. he finally booted the computer and we had to wait for him to do that. He ignored us (another customer waiting and I), briefly pretended to not understand English (so I spoke in Spanish and he just smiled), and finally when he did speak, it was abrupt and he threw the contract paper over the desk at me. The other guy waiting asked if there was more than one truck because we didn't see any and the man completely ignored him. This was not my chosen location. I do not believe he should run your U-Haul. Hated this whole experience. I normally chose U-Haul first but the last 2 experiences were not great at all.

On 2/2/20 around 2:15pm I and my son and nephew was picking up a van at 2051 Webster avenue. My son and nephew stepped outside to get some air because the lady who work as cook was looking at them funny. All of a sudden a jeep pulled up and a guy stepped out of the car and started cursing at my son I went outside to stop the confusion but the started threatening my son's life. The guy even got more guys to get out the car I explained that I'm his mother but the guy wouldn't stop he endangered my life my son's life and nephews life very bad location

I hired three guys to load a haul van for me, I had asked the guys to be here by 8am. I reserved the van for 8am, not informed that this location doesn't open until 9am. Then at 10:10am the person that handles rentals ended up sending his 13 year old son to process the truck for me. Needless to say that I had to pay workers for two hours for sitting around. THANX UHUAL. THE WORST UHAUL EXPERIENCE EVER!! A TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!

Horrible experience. I showed up to the restaurant and no one knew why we were there. Once I explained that we were there to pick up a UHAUL truck, the waitress then called someone else and when they got there they gave me another van than the one I paid for one. The side windows were also broken and it was hard to drive and the tank was not half full, it was at 3/8th so that's exactly how we returned it. When I was reviewing my receipt I noticed that the Juvenile behind the counter put on the paper that I was to return in 14 hours (9AM the next day) when I told him three times that I need the truck for 24 hours. I had to contact the restaurant and bed the guy to change it back to my original order. After a back and forth the guy changed it to 24hrs. It was horrible as they had no clue what was happening and made multiple mistake. I never go back there again and I don't recommend for anyone else to go their either.

I have use uhaul before and never had a bad experience but this time it was the worst I had the reservation for 9 didnt leave until 10 when I returned it I wanted to know my total they completely ignore me. Honestly dont think I will use uhual again.

The app it's completely useless at this location. There was actually a discrepancy because the mileage an amount of gas in the car do not add up to my own calculations. The person who had to give me the vehicle had me waiting for over 30 minutes to arrive and pick up the vehicle who is parked in a parking lot off site. This should definitely not be a location

The dealer first gave our truck to another customer. They had to call him to bring it back. After that the system was so slow that it took them 45 mins to complete our pick up. Finally another location processed it and e-mailed the contract. The whole process from the moment we got to the location to driving the van was an hour. Needs a lot of improvement. I can't tell you what. Please go to this location and see it for yourselves. Moving is already stressful and shouldn't be made more stressful by U-Haul.

Please discontinue your contract with this place. Very unprofessional and late. Horrible experience :( The manager is not accountable. Waited an hour and half to return the truck, when I was told he was five minutes away and arrived 5 minutes before opening 9AM. His administration of this business gives Uhaul a bad name :(

Well the gas that was on the paper was not the same as what was in the van and I was charged 6 bucks and some coin even thou I put 5 dollars In the van service could be a little bit better they have u waiting till there ready also it's a restaurant so the rental guy is busy doing stuff for the restaurant while until customer are waiting that's my feed back

I really think this place could be a little bit faster seems to be a little bit unorganised and also they charge too much for 4 hours I paid $69 for Jess from 12 to about 4:45 which normally the U-Haul down the block I would only pay 50 something bucks and I would have it for 24 hours

Upon my arrival no one greeted me. There were children with no shoes on with their feet on the table. The reason why I'm referencing this is because the pick up location is a restaurant. The person in charged walked right by me and asked a young boy (which didn't look any older than 14 to help me .) When I got the vehicle it had not been properly cleaned from the the previous rental. But yet they had a fit when I returned the vehicle and because I drop a charcoal brick and it was crushed. The gentleman made a huge scene out side of the establishment and I had no choice than to buy a dust pan and clean it myself. To clarify, I have no problem cleaning up anything I'm responsible for. However, the scene was unnecessary especially when the truck was dirty before I picked it up . I will never go to that pick up location again.
