The staff was genuinely helpful however the equipment, a 15 ft. box truck was older than I expected. The check engine light was on and the oil level was low by a quart. I discovered the oil level when I went to fill up the vehicle before leaving on my trip. I was also not happy about the gas policy at U-haul. I have rented equipment from other vendors and the common policy I have witnessed is pick up a full tank and drop off a full tank or get charged for what you failed to replace. The method I was presented with was difficult as the level on pick up was less than a half a tank and when I dropped the truck off there was almost three quarters of a tank. That is about a quarter of a tank more than I was provided, and at almost $4.00 a gallon that can add up.
