Your Cleveland area manager does not even know how the rental equipment works. When I picked up my rental trailer everything looked ok. When I loaded my car one of the tire straps was too short and I had to cut one of personal straps to use trailer. I asked to be reimbursed for my strap and he told me they weren't responsible for the straps on the trailer. I will rent from another company next time.jeff H.

They were the worst. They didn't have a drop box for the key. Then when I came a day later, he was very rude. Said that I had the wrong truck. And then went on to say they will charge me extra. And made an excuse about the drop box being knocked off, that it wasn't his fault, and that I was being charged extra. Worst U-Haul experience I've ever had. My parents never had issues, but this guy is truly the worst. I suggest revoking his U-Haul contract and giving it to a responsible and respectful business in the area.Mark S.

Between the online ordering and ease of pickup and return and friendliness of the staff - made the UHaul Rental seamless for us. It was a big move for my family and not having any hassles with the truck rental was much appreciated.Mary F.
Reserve a 6x12 trailer and 12 blankets, received a call 5 hrs before pickup telling us the trailer was not available. Had to rebook at a different location. Went to pick the trailer up and was told they have no blankets. Trailer was leaking brake fluid and did not have the light harness extension, had to go to a auto parts store and purchase oneEric K.
While I would absolutely recommend Lake Erie Lawn & Garden, Lake Erie Lawn & Garden was excellent, and extremely helpful. I would not recommend U-Haul ever again. This was the absolute worst customer service from U-Haul.stephen I.

They did not include the dollies we had reserved. Had to stop at our preferred pick-up location to grab one. This after we could not pick up truck at preferred location. Why have a preferred location as an option if they don't have the equipment? $50 guarantee is worthless when you need a truck in 24 hours.Gregory B.

I did not enjoy my service during this move and I am still waiting on a call for the manager my truck was canceled the night before my move and the location that I was sent to was out of the way for my move then I get to the location and they don't have my utility dolly and the customer service person said they didn't have a dolly at all so after I have to contact Uhaul again they say that the systems says that they have one then he says we have a regular dolly that she can get for five dollars then she send me to another location to get a utility dolly so the extra miles were not in my plans and when I called my first store location to see if they had the dolly that said no so the rep from Uhaul call them and again all of a sudden the dolly apears this has cause me a lot of hardships and my movers were standing outside in the cold waiting for me to get a truck and last but not lease I have to pay for a move in total and wait for a manger to contact me up to 72 hours I feel that that is not called for you don't have to wait for my business and it doesn't seem as though your concern about your customers this has been my worst service with Uhaul and I may not used these services next time Lisa Swift-Norfleet 216 3231346LISA S.
The location was fine, the gentleman helpful. What was frustrating was the equipment I ordered (furniture dollies and furniture pads) were not available. I wasn't notified of this until I arrived and I had no choice but to accept what I was given which was simply the truck and it was disappointing to say the least that I didn't have the equipment necessary for my move and had to purchase them elsewhere. The gentleman at the shop was friendly and understanding. He also made sure he removed the charges. I just think if Uhaul is going to advertise the products for rent and have locations all around, every location should have all of the equipment on hand or it shouldn't be given to consumers as an option to rent.Rachel D.

Also, I had to drive an extra 10 miles to the pick up location from my preferred spot. And the truck was not ready until 4 hours after my requested time. Was cancelled after I verbally confirmed at about 1:30 that we would be there around 3. Then on my contract... They had an address I have no idea where it came from. After renting vehicle sat in lot for approximately 45 minutes while the workers in loaded a truck. Upon asking the truck driver to please pull his semi forward the towmotor driver told him not to move will be finished shortly. Upon voicing my concern via chat I was adviced to speak with general manager upon doing so he was very rude and abruptly hung the phone up. I found his behavior lacking in personality and customers Service skills. All this was done as I tried to explain what was happening in lots and rude tone he stated this was my first time in there place of work and he had now idea this was going on. I felt he took offense at me even voicing my concern. Since I was held up so long in the lot 45 minutes I was late to work no one looked at the vehicle I was told it was in the back. Where myself and husband had to walk across a drive that was covered in snow and ice. I paid my bill and left totally dissatisfied with the service my husband and I received. This location is a joke...they only have one truck, and although we had a 2:00 reservation for pickup, we arrived 10 minutes early and waited for 20+ minutes only to be told that "the only guy who could fill out the paperwork" was away on an errand and the staff didn't know when he'd be back...As we were on a tight timeline, I called the customer service number provided to complain and see if another truck might be available at a different location...I also claimed the $50 refund for the " we will have your truck on time guarantee"... Just as the logistics representative was confirm I g a reservation at an alternate location, this location's staff suddenly & mysteriously fingered out how they could have someone at another remote location, fill out the paperwork and FAX it to them....he also knew that I was on the phone complaining to UHaul Customer Service....poor customer service, poor attention to detail, just poor all around...NEVER use the location at 1685 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH.JOHN H.

The truck overall was nice but the cab had a left over drink in when we took for the day that I had to take care of before we left. The person checking us in was not friendly and did not even walk us out to the truck. I have rented U-Haul trucks many times and he didn't even do the usually visual inspection around or in the truck with us. He said its out back and sent us on our way.Chris T.
Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. From the minute I got there it was obvious the counter person wanted nothing to do wirh this transaction. Abrupt with any answers, absolutely no help, mumbling responses - just wanted to get rid of me. After getting all the paper work done, I had to ask where the trailer was located. He advised the back of the lot and then ignored me. I drove my SUV and waited for someone to help with the hookup and advise of anything I needed to know, never happened. I pulled up to the showroom and asked if someone would be helping me and was advised " we rent units, not help in hook Up!" I Then went to the back of the lot and tried to align the trailer ball to the trailer, trailer tires were sunk into the ground, making it impossible to move back or forward, and had to continuously back up, see if I had aligned perfectly, if not, try again until it was possibLe to connect. The mechanic then came out and I asked him to verify the trailer lights were working, (as it turned out, the left would work intermittenly during the trip.) When I finally pulled up to the showroom to pick up the 10 furniture blankets, they were in a pile in the middle of the showroom for me to fold and take to the trailer. The only good thing I can say is that, after asking the counter person about one their lawnmowers, and the brief, abrupt responce, I wont be buying a mower from them, bought at a local store in Chardon.JOHN H.
