Robert NOnly hitch was I tried to use the app to drop off the truck earlier on a Sunday when the truck was due back on Monday and I had to spend a half hour with customer service to make sure that I was in the right place and the information was given over the phone not online as advertised by U-Haul.

Roosevelt JI rented a 26 foot truck for a 20 mile trip. 8.5 miles loaded and 11.5 miles open road. I reviewed how much fuel was in the tank prior to leaving the lot and returned the truck with more than I used (3 gallons). Received receipt and was charge an additional 4 gallons at $4.16 per gallon (total 7 gallons of fuel for a 20 mile trip).. Now if this truck uses less than 3 miles per gallon, you may want to use another provider. The representative at U-Haul agrees that the truck gets better gas mileage than what I’ve been charged. I have used U-Haul in the past with no problem. Never will use this location again!

Douglas BMy truck smelled of straight gas when driving the second part of my trip and I feel the gas usage was drastically different. I tried to call about it but no one answered.

Mark SI was informed I could drop off the cargo trailer to any uhaul dealer in the area. However, when I went to a nearby location, the service desk told me he wouldn’t accept the trailer and that I would be charged an additional fee for not returning it to the original location. So, I had to drive an additional 35 mins to drop it off. There seems to be a miscommunication on the drop off policy between the customer (me) and uhaul staff.

Diana SWhen I arrived, the receptionist was in a conversation with a elderly man. I had to wait a few minutes till they finally finished their conversation. She seen me standing there and he even turned around so I know he seen me too. But I had to wait for them to finish. Fyi- they weren't discussing renting a uhaul. It was friendly. Also, I was not shown by anyone how to operate the vehicle. This was the first time I had ever rented a uhaul so I thought someone would come out and show me the basics on the truck. Example how to adjust mirrors, etc. I had to figure all this out myself. And never could figure out how to adjust the side mirrors. When I pulled out to leave, it was raining a little bit, so I turned on the windshield wipers and the windshield wiper on the driver side did not work. So I did go inside and let the lady no that the windshield wiper was not working. The vehicle itself was a rough ride. Not smooth at all. Nothing what I expected. Overall it was okay. But they really need to check out these vehicles when they come back in and not just how much gas is left in the tank.

DOUGLAS BLady was nice there location was old and decrepit. Order placed online at 300 miles when I got on site to pick it up they then backtracked on the order and only allowed 270 miles. I will never use this horrible company again. most untrustworthy shady company I’ve ever had to deal with

Katelynne HThis is about your system for after hours drop off. Make sure there is a highlighted statement on your paperwork or website that after hours drop require that you be at the site in order to access your EZ return function. Otherwise great experience!

JEREMY AThis has nothing to do with the pickup location. But the night I loaded the truck it rained and water leaked inside and destroyed a lot of my belongings. This is an out of town move and I expected a better truck with no leaks. No I have to pay for rug cleaning, damaged boxes, books, wood frames, mattresses and more.
MENAW MTrailers are always in excellent maintained condition! I give this location 5 stars!
DOUGLAS BI rated this below average because the location I indicated I wanted to pick up the van was changed and it took me an extra hour to pick up the van. Also, not a location issue but I was under the impression from the online reservation that it was a unlimited miles and I was charged for miles over a certain amount. In the future, I will go with Penske.
