I should have checked and was not aware this location has no office. The mobile application did not work properly and it was an extremely frustrating and difficult experience to pickup the truck. The truck was fine but the process to pickup and return was extremely poor.

If ever an issue an Asian man is always available by phone, it's my 3rd time at this location. I went to pick up my truck but it was blocked in. I called the man and he worked it out, mistakes happen, no big deal. I'd recommend this location to anyone anytime.

When I set up the reservation I said I wanted a counter vs on line so I was not aware until I tried to find it the day before the rental that it is simply a parking lot. I called the number on the sign two times and left message. Person called back in 5 min and explained I would be told everything in time and I would get a text telling me what to do. Then I learned I had to add the APP which took about 15-20 minutes. I signed in on day of rental and received instructions about key and number of vehicle. Then had to take a bunch of the photos, mileage etc...took 25 min! Then when we found out the pads were missing we called the number on the sign. Same "angry" man with Jamaican(?) accent said they were in another vehicle. The other vehicle was LOCKED so no pads (they did remove from final bill). Told me to go to another U-Haul facility if I wanted the pads. You would think he would offer to come to the lot to open the other vehicle. Drop off took about 15 min to take photos again etc. The person assigned to manage this parking lot should not interface with the public! I have NEVER had a bad experience with U-Haul in the past.

Truck was empty of fuel when I checked in; had to spend $118 to fill it with fuel. Cab of truck was somewhat dirty - mainly dirt on the floor, hadn't been cleaned in some time. Instructions in the checkout video weren't clear - When I first started up the truck, the amber "Tow/Haul" light on the dashboard was on. As a retired airline Captain, I know that amber or red lights are never good, and I didn't want to damage the truck by driving it with.the amber "Tow/Haul" Warning light illuminated. After calling the U-Haul 800 number I had to talk to 4 different people before getting to the right technical person who could tell me that it was normal for the "Tow/Haul" light on the dashboard to be on all the time.

The area field manager, Oscar Ocon, does not provide useful support for this location at all. And the moving equipment I ordered was not in the van when I picked it up. I will not recommend this location to anyone.

This was the worst experience ive ever had with a rental truck. First off, there is NO OFFICE. Its a fuckin white piece of construction paper that says “uhaul office here. Call number on sign” with no number listed. I finally was able to get ahold of someone and the guy was extending unhelpful and rude. This location was a fucking aweful experience. Took me 45 mins to get the keys from the dam locked box because i was forced to use the uhaul phone app which is completely garbage.

The location was an empty parking lot. The UHaul app was consistently glitchy. It took 30 minutes to complete signin. It took 20 minutes to sign out. Upon completing signout, the final information provided was "if you don't go to a specific UHaul web site to complete signout you'll be charged another $20. But the web sight didn't recognize my reservation completion. All in all a very frustrating experience.

The rep that attended to me on the phone at this location was very rude. The UHaul app kept crashing on me and wasted my time by not identifying my location. Having completed the check in process prior to my pick up time, the app prompted me to start the process over again. The truck stinks. I will never go to this location, ever again.

Was not assigned a vehicle when arrived. Then got dropped from two calls with customer service. No keys in the lock box once vehicle was assigned. Have yet to get my money back

The check in process was awful. There was a handwritten sign that said "Call for keys". It didn't give a number. When I called the number from Google, someone answered and said "we debt you a bunch of text messages, follow those and download the app" and that was it. I didn't receive any text messages. Why do i have to download an app that asks me for sensitive personal information and didn't tell me how it would be protected? I spent 15 minutes digging through the website to finally get the keys, and that 15 minutes counted against my time. I didn't even get an extension. The truck was parked all the way in the back between two other rows of trucks with barely any clearance, so i had to reverse all the way down the row with 6 inches on either side, trying not to hit a telephone pole at the end. The return process was equally awful. I didn't dare call the number again because I'm sure the answer would be the same. Never renting here again.

The fuel status was wrong, didn’t get dolly nor furniture pads ordered. Cab was dirty and smelled of smoke/BO. Will not rent from remote location again. Had to call cust service 4 times with one hang up. Spent 1 hour of time on hold.

Received uhaul already on low fuel. had to pay an extra 30 dollars so they could fuel open as no gas stations nearby could fuel it because they weren’t open because it was like 11pm.

Wasted a half hour of my time trying to contact customer service because the keys weren’t in the box they were supposed to be and most of the lock boxes weren’t even locked. Luckily the district employee left his cellphone number at the site and I was finally able to get a hold of him to help me. Very poor experience.

I selected mobile pickup and put in all my information and pre check in information uploaded my driver license all so that i could get there and leave on time. I get there and u-haul wants everything I already did, again. Then they want to verify who I am day of when they could’ve done that before hand as well. I left the u-haul location 30 minutes late because of this. Driver side blind spot mirror was also broken off.

The guy on site was sooo nice, but the online check in process is a freaking hassle. I submitted my ID over an hour before my pickup time, and for some reason upon arrival, I had to try submitting it through the app again only for it to keep getting rejected. My pickup time was 1pm and I didn’t leave until 1:40. The customer service line is useless and kept me on hold for 10+ minutes. The guy on site was great, but I will never use uhaul again. I’d rather go through Home Depot or literally anybody else.

The location is fine, but there’s no lighting in the early morning so it was difficult to see. Also, our U-Haul was pulled right up to a soil bank and another U-Haul was parked directly behind us in which we had to do a 100 point turn to get out of the space. The other U-Haul wasn’t used that day. The vehicle was decent, worked well, did what it needed to and the instructions and online system worked fine as well. Thank you!

In general, not a fan of the fully virtual rental experience, but my experience worked out well and the truck rate was cheaper when using this location. App could be a bit clearer with directions at times (like pictures to take or letting you know when the contract is actually "closed out", but managed to navigate it successfully. Overall a good experience.

Vehicle was in disrepair. I files a report because the transmission was potentially dangerous. App was horrible to use I filled out everything ahead of time including a photo of my license. I get to the location and I have to fill it out again. I have a 5 bar signal on my phone and it can’t seem to locate me. Nothing but a thank you when I report the vehicles problems. Normally some would say. Is there something I can do to thank you for saving a potential lawsuit? I could have hit somebody because the vehicle would not drop into first gear when coming to a stop. I had to put it in neutral and keep strong pressure on the brake to avoid hitting someone in front of me.

When reserving a rental van, I chose to rent from in-person location, but I was then directed to a location which was virtual only. Given my choice, the website should have referred me only to locations that provided in-person rentals. The U-Haul app is "clunky" at best, such that both my pick up and rental took a lot longer than I would expect. Upon return, I got stuck in the app in an endless loop, had to contact customer service where they told me to check in on-line using the browser in my phone. Thankfully this worked. Another customer, trying to pick up a truck at the same time I was returning my van had the same experience. When I rent a car at Hertz, they automatically send an E-mail with my receipt. However, hours after returning my van, I had to contact U-Haul customer service to get them to send me my receipt. Once I had the van, it was clean, worked perfectly, came with the 5 furniture pads I needed (not the 10 advertised - but that was OK), was a good experience. U-Haul just needs to overhaul their app, bring it up to the standards of other companies'.

It was unclear when booking this was a location with no personnel. I was given the choice of counter service or mobile. I did not choose mobile. The process was confusing and I was then denied the rental by the system. I called the local number and he had to put everything through manually. He did help me but he was impatient, rude, cut me off mid sentence multiple times by shouting MA’AM… this man should never deal with the public. I own by own multi million dollar business and he made me feel like a moron. Worst experience ever.

The Pick-up experience was less than desirable(it wasn’t clearly visible from the street, no signage, no address marker, near by businesses also Didn’t know where this place was and Added other U-HAUL customers are CONSTANTLY, bugging them asking where is the U-Haul storefront. I rent trucks/Vans about five or six times a year. The issue I run into at this specific pick-up location is (I believe) the cell phone service is very poor (I use T-Mobile) and therefore it takes (literally) and hour or so to get the photos to upload for checkout and return. That's pretty frustrating. The time on hold trying to fix the issue, when they won't upload also took about 25 minutes. The app seems to be visually designed well but I've had similar issues at other U-Haul pickup locations, not quite as long as this one, but still 30 to 40 minutes. I'm not certain it's actually the cell coverage, might just be the uploads of pictures is just poorly designed. This is also a piece of the process that cannot be done prior to picking up. Having a person or a quick number for just the folks trying to efficiently pick up a vehicle and get to work would make it a much better experience, and more likely to use U-Haul again.

Unfortunately, the battery for our truck was dead when we arrived. Thankfully, customer service was good and got us access to a cargo van at the same location. No issues with that one, however, it was not optimal since we really needed the larger truck. Other than that, things went smoothly at this location.

I was told by a Uhaul agent on the phone the evening befor that this location would allow me to check in with a live person not online. When I arrived there was a hand written sign pointing to the trucks and saying "no office." I proceeded through the online check in ,but no keys were available for the truck I rented. After waiting about 10 minutes on hold an agent helped me but there were only keys available for a truck that was twice the size. As I had movers arranged at certain times I had to use this truck. It was very stressful to navigate in this large vehicle and our belongings weren''t secure in the back because it was too large. Overall this was not acceptable as there were 3 trucks the size I had requested sitting there with no keys.. Poor Service

it would be helpful for customers to know before they arrive that there is no office for this location. additionally, that customers should use a mobile browser rather than the U-Haul app to check out and return their rentals as the app cannot find the location for returns.

I would not recommend this location due to the truck I rented not being available and the fact that I had to track down a person to solve the problem. Once I found a person the rental was ok. I also still don’t have a receipt from my day either and my rental no longer appears in the app. So overall not a positive customer experience. I was able to get my small moving done but not without hiccups.

After rental support was extremely helpful. I believe the regional manager named Carmen (?, phone number was 773-895-3646) was extremely helpful. I left my late grandfathers pocket knife in the truck by accident. On a Friday night he was available to give me access back to the truck. I found the knife right on the seat thanks to him. The knife had large sentimental value to me. I very much appreciate his help.

Charged me 20 dollars for an after hours service fee when I returned the truck after 2 hours of use (2pm). Also, the truck I originally rented was not available for use, causing me to have to use a different vehicle, but get stuck with the cost of the truck I originally had.

The equipment I reserved was not available. No one there to help you even though I called repeatedly(no one ever called back) because your uhaul ap is a nightmare. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Truck wasn’t cleaned and equipment I asked for was not there. I stood in the cold and snow for 45 minutes freezing!!

The reservation process was horrendous. I had a truck confirmed for the Milwaukee Ave location and was told I could check in at the desk, but the office is closed on Sunday there, AND there was no truck in the parking lot. My reservation never showed up in my Uhaul account. I called support and got help with changing the reservation to a different location. I was told I could go to the desk there and pick up the keys. There was no desk at that location, just the 24x7 truck share setup. Since the reservation still wasn't showing in my account, I started a new reservation at the site and was finally able to secure a truck. Moral of the story: don't bother speaking with Uhaul support. They don't have correct info.
