I am writing to share my very disappointing experience with this U-Haul rental. I originally booked the pickup location only 3 miles away from me. On the last day, the pickup location was changed to a location 9 miles away. No one acknowledged or cared about the extra mileage and inconvenience this caused. I also booked a dolly as part of my reservation, but when I arrived for pickup, the dolly was not available. After waiting on the call for about an hour and a half, I was told to drive to another location, which was another 6 miles away. When I arrived at the U-Haul location at 2400 E Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, an employee named Scott Sandoval was very disrespectful and unhelpful. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, he made an inappropriate comment comparing the situation to ordering a burger at McDonald’s and trying to pick it up somewhere else. The location had a dolly available, but they refused to provide it for my reservation and instead told me I would need to purchase one. This was extremely frustrating and poorly handled. The reservation was changed without proper support, the equipment I booked was not available, and I was forced to spend extra time, mileage, and effort because of the company’s mistake. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed and that I be compensated for the inconvenience, extra miles, and poor customer service.

Was unable to contact location. Key was not in lockbox. Had to call until support to get code for the key. Truck was basically on empty when I picked it up

Mohamed DBooking set up for hand delivery when the location doesn’t have an office and uses lock boxes. Took 50 minutes to get someone on the phone. 2nd time using this location, 2nd time there was issue.
