I picked truck up was told everything was good. Got loaded and tow dolly hooked up to leave to find out no lights on tow dolly working. Called took over took 2 hours for him to get it figured out. Got down road not even half way home and chain on tow dolly broke, We then found belts showing thru on both front tires. Was really upset because I had a grandchild riding with me. Called roadside assistance and spoke with a Bryan, took forever to hear back. Then sent me a link to message the next morning I did and no one replied back. Finally a local person gave me a guys name and number that was the local mechanic for uhaul for the St. Louis area. Thank the dear lord for nice people. Called him and was told are didn't know what I was talking about. Dave then took all my info and starting checking things out, He informed me that the ball had been dropped on me and that nothing had been done.He then proceeded to make sure things were done. This man contracts his services to uhaul it wasn't his responsibility to do all that he did for us. I think you should be looking at a different dealer for your services in North Platte cause I feel Leonard is to old and as you can see and look at my file he doesn't consider safety checks before allowing a vehicle out on the road. I FEEL I should be reimbursed for extra meals and motels thru this.martha H.
'Reservations' apparently means nothing here! I had a 'guaranteed reservation' several days ahead of my 3 day rental and later received notice that there was no available trailer. The night before (just before his closing time) I was able to score a reservation again for the following morning. We decided to drive by the lot to see if there actually was an available trailer there for the following morning. We watched as a pickup left with our trailer! Talked to owner and employee who said that they didn't know of any other trailer due to show up in the morning and that they can't let them sit unrented! Good luck getting your trailer when you have planned to use it!!Marla R.

Individual didn't hook it up correctly and it fell off. I was driving back to the shop so they could fix electrical which also didn't work. Booking and reservation print out issues. Person responsible not there, a multitude of problems. These are only a few. He was nice and apologetic but I spent hours just trying to get it.Sherri T.
Your Area/District Manager needs to visit each of the locations in North Platte and see for themselves what your customers see. The locations are shabby. U-Haul is their side business, and it shows.William I.

When I got out on the interstate and had to stop, from 70 mph, the brakes didn't work properly. We discovered that the rear brakes on the U-Haul truck were leaking fluid, causing the brakes to be weak.DAVID H.

After we dropped the truck off and went through all the check in items, we were taking the key to the drop off we saw a sign on the door a-crossed the street telling us to take it to a different location. By then we had checked everything in on the app and couldn't change anything as far as location of the truck.Audra W.

The outside of the vehicle was filthy and sand was in the cargo area which I sent a picture of to the app when I picked up the vehicle. I said the vehicle should be cleaned before renting to another person and was charged a cleaning fee even though I notified about how dirty it was.Richard L.

The trailer floor was covered in some sort of oil. I think it was gear oil. I had to clean the trailer floor before I could put any furniture in it or the furniture would have been ruined. It also smelled like gear oil. Everything I put in it had the smell when I unloaded it.Landon G.
I had reserved the trailer to pick up at 9:00 am, but they had to unload an item off of it, so we did not get to leave until 9:45. I feel that if it is reserved to be pick up at a certain time, it needed to be ready at that time.rhonda K.

Leonard's Service was quite hard to find in town. They have the uhaul trailers separate from their location. The man that helped us had a cigarette lit the whole time helping us hook up the car hauler. The plug for the lights also was smashed and the guy made my husband connect the new outlet. The people were nice just feel like location was difficult and hospitality was a little off.Samantha L.

The car was not cleaned. There was a used face mask on the dashboard. The employees were â€˜lousy'. The owner Lenard did an amazing job but I can't say much for his two employees that helped us. The younger guy didn't latch the trailer to the 10' cargo Van. And when he was asked by Lenard his response â€˜it happens' I rented this car to haul my sedan car 6 hours to Iowa. And his response was â€˜it happens'?! Shows how careless he is. Lenard did a great job. I made sure he double checked everything before we took off.Tam V.

All of the gentlemen were so helpful when problem solving and were able to guide me where the nearest place for a trailer plug adapter to replace mine which was old and had a corroded contact.Ken R.
Check inside the cab. Some lady from Concordia, KS left her Drivers license and bank cards in the cab. My husband found them and left them on the dash.Denise W.

First off give them the CORRECT drop off location would be very helpful. We went to the address given to take all the pictures necessary (now the pictures don't matter) to do this drop off correctly only to get to the door to drop the keys off there was a note saying BRING the truck somewhere else!!!! Unacceptable, I was fuming! By the way the thank goodness my truck was a smaller one as had it been a 20 footer or bigger good luck with parking it at the other location or even the first false location!!Ricardo U.

Was told that the Conformation Was all set to only show up and it was not. Was a 10 am pick up and was there over 2 hours while they had to go get the truck, Still had to go pick it up But was still charged a extra day for the pickup timeJimmie K.

Waited for about 10 minutes to be acknowledged as we thought he was helping a customer turned out he was just chatting with a friend then he had trouble finding the key twice. He was very friendly though and helpful once he was helping us. The truck had a blow out on our way to where we were going and took a couple of hours to fix but that is to be expected when it happens between towns but tires should be inspected between customers. The box was clean but the cab had soda spilled in it so things were a little stickywlla T.

Lenard's Service needs to reed the paperwork. then they might know that the U-Box containers needed to be delivered, and, they might have had enough available at the start. They did, however, work hard to get us 2 more containers when we ran out of space.Daniel M.
I asked for a furniture dolly and one was not in the vehicle and I was still charged for it. The door to the truck stopped working and roadside assistance came out and did what they could to get the door closed. They were polite as was the customer service representative.Jennifer S.

The â€œconvenientâ€ online checkout process isn't really all that convenient. Apart from the fact that it can be completed without human assistance, it's rather complex and time consuming. Certainly not â€œdrop and go.â€ The process brought an otherwise good experience to a challenging close.Michael S.

The staff are unorganized and the truck lot is a few blocks away so there was a lot of running back and forth. The truck wasn't cleaned out and there was a mileage discrepancy, so a HUGE hassle for a customer to have to deal with, with very little help. Don't order moving supplies from them either, they'll drop 10 unfolded moving blankets on the dirty floor in front of you when you order 12.Jared L.

Address for office listed online has no parking. No place to drop off trailer. Was after hours but finally found a lot a couple blocks to the north east that had trailers on it and just left trailer there.Casey P.
Oh I have a few things you can do to improve for your next customer. Not keep me on a Ubox I did not need, not continue to charge me when I asked to be removed, not lie to me that it was going to be taken care of, not make me wait two days for someone to initiate the refund process, not tell me to call customer service so they can tell me to call Ubox so they can tell me to wait for a phone call from a manager who won't help me and give me a cell number to a management office who doesn't even fix the issue. The issue has been resolved up to this point but I'm extremely disappointed in this whole process because September and October were charged for a box I was told I was not going to be charged for, no one apparently "moved [me] out" of the box despite multiple times being assured everything would be taken care of until 12pm today when this first errant charge happened on the 7th of September.Melinda C.
