Alex Rodriguez, area manager, marked my truck as returned late by a full day. As a result, I was charged extra. 3 days ago I asked for a phone call from him to discuss my return. I spoke with the drop off location and they confirmed they marked the truck as returned on time. I even went as far as to ask them to review security camera footage confirming my drop off time as the same day as my rental. 14 hours later Alex finally marked my truck as returned and then proceeded to charge me. For a supposed general manager, the unprofessionalism and neglect on his end to rectify the situation is completely unacceptable. I have used U-Haul for personal use on three separate occasions, as well as for business on more than one occasion. After this latest experience, I cannot say I will be using them again.

The service was still excellent despite the adjustments due to construction. The staff member, and I forgot his name was pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful with helping me find a place to safely park my car while I drove the truck to move. I had been a Life Storage tenant on New Brunswick Avenue, but this was my first time renting a U-Haul and the service was excellent. Thank you and much success to your company.

Your customer service is horrendous! I go online I pick a time a truck size and a location based on what your website tells me is available. I get an email confirmation confirming all three of those details to then only find a day or two before that the location and pick up time were changed. I called your customer service number two separate times and both times every person who answered the phone in all honesty were jerks and not professional. The only people who conduct and themselves in an extremely professional manner where the people at the LifeLock pick up location. He gave me $.30 off a mile without me even asking for it because he knows what I had just learned that your people have no concept of how to provide superior customer service.

First I reserved 2 weeks ahead then the day before I call to confirm and they said I didn't have one.. After arguing I was promised a truck for 8 am the filling day and when I arrived the showed up at 840. Additionally I was told I could have for 24 hours when arrive in the morning I was informed he reserved it for 3pm that day and I need it back and full by then.. unbelievable!! Furthermore he wouldn't give me a credit for half day and was nasty

The personnel who works at this location are rude. I will never rent from U Haul as you charged me $8 because the gas was just under a full tank. Which was based on the truck not being leveled, not because I used a lot of gas. I went THREE MILES. I think this company is a rip off and will never use you again.

The truck I rented cause my mattress To caught on fire. The light in the back of the truck stayed on after we loaded the truck door and didn't have a cover on it which caused the fire. Now I'm out of a bed.

No parking. Two parking spaces. Customers parked along the curb. No room to back out with the Life Storage van. Rented van and paid for it had to rent appliance dolly paid for it and I rented a new unit. Nothing free! Owner of Life Storage is GREEDY!

The uhaul/life storage worker Raymond was TERRIBLE! He could not answer any questions. Allegedly changes were made with the uhaul company 2 months ago. I was not informed of changes prior to making reservation with their office. He was like a robot just telling me to go on uhaul website vs just him answering my questions now. He was very unprofessional and I would not rent here if you could help it.

The online verification process is horrendous. The U-Haul site or app kept crashing giving error messages, and took forever to upload the pictures that were requested. The process that should have taken a couple of minutes with technology, instead took nearly a half hour, phone calls, and in completed verifications. A horrendous, horrendous experience.

Location was fine, it's the way U-Haul processes the return which would make it unlikely I would recommend U-Haul in general. My return was on a Sunday morning, and the location was closed. Had to return thru your online process. Had my location services on on my phone, but your website kept saying it could not recognize my location. I called the U-Haul customer service number, was on hold for 25 minutes, before I gave up. Entered than a chat site on U-Haul, and basically, when I described my issue, they just said “load the app“. After much messing around with getting the app loaded, was able to process my return, after taking all the photos you require, etc., this set me back about an hour. I was dropping off at 10:15, didn't get to leave until 1115. This was about 45 minutes before the location was actually going to open.

Side view mirror was not adjustable , it was a little difficult to look on the right side. If the mirror can be corrected it will be good.

I picked up the truck and was told i chose to access and start my rental on my phone . I wasnt aware that i had a choice when i made the appointment weeks prior i dont remember that option so i wasnt helped i had to figure out the online app. The truck was sub par at best with an exhaust leak and when i brought the truck home and loaded it when i woke up the next morning for the move the right rear tire was low,,close to flat so i had to pull my air compressor out and check all the tires,,,was no t happy with this situation at all and i was late getting on the road to move my son. I will say when i returned the truck it was pouring rain and the guy who handles the rentals was very helpful and very informative about my bill and checked over the truck to close out my rental. The truck was very poor maintained and vibrated like crazy on the highway at highway speeds and was very loud inside the cab. I spent with fuel and rental around $400 and was very dissatisfied for a 1 day rental. Very disappointed with u-haul

Keep up with the good work. Staffs need to check trailer lights before customer leave the premises to make sure signals light, stop light and all hitches work properly by helping customer installing it rather than a customer do it on their own.

The truck we were given at the end of return when trying to add gas the fuel guage didn't work and there was no way of knowing how much gas it has and the truck was not that good the ac worked whenever it wanted to work.

I don't want anyone to have their day ruined, so BEWARE of renting a Uhaul truck from Life Storage in Piscataway. We rented a van for an hour and a half. Didn't park it once, never came in contact with any other vehicles, structures, nothing. literally drove it, stayed in the street as we loaded wicker furniture (didn't park) & returned it. We returned it just as we received it. The next day, we woke up to $136 additional charge on our credit card. No explanation, no email, no text, just an additional charge. We went to the location to speak to the representative we rented from. He said the charge was for a scratch. He claimed he texted us a link of pictures of the van. First of all, the link texted didn't even work. Secondly, when he showed us pictures in their system because the link didn't work, THEY WERE OLD PICTURES!! He admitted he didn't actually take any pictures yesterday. The old pictures he showed us have no identifiable evidence to prove it is the same van he actually rented us. That's the company procedure???? Really????? So there are absolutely no pictures as of the day we rented the van, yet they are trying to charge us for a scratch on it??? He looked in the system and realized he didn't even email at all. He entered an incorrect email in the system when he entered our order. It was almost closing time, so clearly he was rushing. He never explained the inspection process, never mentioned he would text a link of pictures, nothing. I'm sure because it was nearly time to leave, he just opted to skip that due diligence on his part to make the process go faster. I am very disappointed in this experience and will be disputing this charge. By the way, the 'scratch' they claim we put on the van, which we did not, is not even a scratch. It is a scuff mark that the representative could have caused himself when he brought the van out to us. There are no pictures from that day, so that is highly probable.
