I know it was a self-serve drop off, but their drop off area was a bit slanted towards ditch and had grass up to my knees. So it was a bit difficult to maneuver and had to walk through the long grass to take photos. Maybe it’s common, but nobody came out to assist. I was able to get it done. I have been at this service station for other things in the past and I do know they are excellent and helpful, so I would recommend them. Cutting grass and maybe putting up some barriers would make a difference.

The driver side door handle was hanging loose off the door and barely worked. This is the only u-haul place in Summerside that I am aware of, so had to say yes to would I recommend. However, the truck was clean, and the people doing the check out were very nice.

Uhauls should be full when picking up so it is easy to determine the correct amount of gas used - instead when we picked up they said there was a 1/4 tank but it was slightly under and then tried to charge us $80 for gas when we used less than $20 and had uhaul for less than 3 hours

Pick up was great. Drop off made my decision NOT to go back. I am a respectable man and I take care of things that are not mine when I use them. But I will not clean up someone else's mess left in the truck before I use. SECOND I dont accept being accused of leaving a truck dirty after I use it. I cleaned up my mess when I was done. I will not clean up after someone else who can't clean up their mess. VERY DISRESPECTFUL on their part. I WILL NOT be going back to Lockhart's Esso nor will I suggest anyone else go there. Social media is a great to .ake it better for you or make it worse for you and buddy I can't say anything good about you right now.

I booked the trailer ahead of time but they didn’t seeem to be able to find it. When I payed, it was with a Debit Visa, but it seems they put it through as just debit, which added a $75 charge. Kind of confusing.

The process of getting the U-Haul was a little long. I filled out everything online but I was asked all the same questions again. But other than that, I had a great experience, and I highly recommend.

I stopped into the location and asked if I could rent a 15 foot truck the next day and was told none available. I asked if there was any other size available and was told no. Left and Went online and booked a 20 foot truck! It’s like they couldn’t be bothered. Terrible Customer Service

Horrible representative for uhaul. I will not return to Lockharts for a uhaul and will not refer anyone to go to Lockharts for a uhaul. They wasted 1 hr and 45 minutes of my time getting a trailer. Very disappointed.

Moving is always stressful, and has many unexpected turns that can pop up which mine definitely did. They were so kind and understanding and helped me keep my sanity through it! I wouldn't recommend anyone other then UHaul in Summerside! Amazing kind service

3/16 of a tank of fuel , had to get fuel before the job . Why not fill them up and keep them full like years ago ..

Poor customer service , bad attitude . 8 am scheduled pick up , snow storm overnight, showed up at 8:45am to give them time to have the truck ready . It wasn't, covered with snow , stuck had to be pulled out with a tractor , filthy inside seat , door , dash and floor. Ordered 12 pads 10 days in advance picked up the truck then told no pads . How and where do I get wrapping pads for a furniture move at 9am in the morning driving a 26ft truck after a snow storm . 10 days booked in advance a little notice would have been good. Great location , bad management, no trespassing signs everywhere, poor customers service especially the owner . There is no other place to rent a Uhaul in summerside other than this place . That has to change .

Was told to pick up at 9am Monday. Went in and was unable to pick up trailer. So I had to get one in another location and was charged a one way fee instead of a return. The fee was $200 more than original quote.

The trailer wasn't very clean, but that's ok... it would have gotten pretty dirty pretty quickly anyway. It took a long time to check out, considering that everything was already done for the reservation including uploading pics of my driver's license and selfies. The personnel did help drive my vehicle out with the trailer because it kept sliding in the snow and ice in the parking lot, so that was a help.

This location was once a well known gas station and garage, but now it is basically a junk yard with u-haul equipment. Its constantly going down hill. Its unfortunate because it has great potential being on the highway.

after renting the truck at the lock hearts location in summerside apon returning the truck i had put gas into the vehicle to return it to its proper amount they dont offer fuel at there gas pumps so i had to drive the truck back to lockhearts and the truck wasnt left at its proper amount due to needing to drive it 5 minutes down the road and i was charged a extra 20 $ for someone to pump the fuel and 30 $ for a fuel cost

Equipment was clean, however the app didn’t work properly and would not accept the pictures I submitted and tried to return the truck but wouldn’t work. The license plate light was also not working. Got pulled over by the police.

Terrible customer service by the owner tried to bill me for extra fuel when I put gas in and only drove 6km for the entire move with no idle time . They speak there own language instead of English. Nothing annoys me more when people who speak good English start talking in a language I dont understand when its discussing me personally. Its rude . You want to talk about me say it in English so I have a chance to respond .

Lockharts is a service station so really not very clean, just by nature. I would not hold that against the business. Lockharts was not open when we returned the trailer but we found lots of place to park and took pictures. It was not an issue when we went in the next day.

Be sure to photograph the fuel gauge before leaving at this location. Owner claimed that there was more fuel than there actually was. Although I put the fuel gauge back to its original setting and showed him my fuel receipt, ($20 in fuel for 44 miles of driving) the owner made me pay an additional charge of $15. I felt that this was unfair and an attempt to squeeze me for extra money. Not a customer friendly location just a buyer beware drop off / pick up point.

Staff were very rude, made me wait 50 minutes while they ate their lunch. Told me to go wait by the trailer I was renting and they’d be out in 15 minutes, I waited 50 minutes then went back inside. They clearly forgot about me, but made no apologies. Asked me the same questions three times. The place was an absolute mess. Made no eye contact, made no effort to be polite, and were very dirty. Drop off site was much more professional and tidy.
