I returned the truck much cleaner than when I picked it up but I was charged $25 for clean up. For the next customer - don't charge for cleaning if the truck is cleaner than when it was picked up.John L.

Visual walk around the inside the cargo area and check for any unusual odors like mariguana? Had to take the omly available truck at that time. Crossed the arizona border customs and truck smell like high heaven Cleaned and disinfected inside the cargo area I will seek for supplies and labor charges.Carlos P.

Charged $25 for truck clean out, I don't believe it was necessary although I did not inspect the vehicle myself. We were charged extra mileage - distance from pick up point to drop off point was 105 miles, we were only allowed about 140 miles. It was roughly 20 miles in the opposite direction to pick up the load and approximately 18 miles off the route to deliver it, no side trips were taken and the truck was only driven to the drop off after the load was delivered. Mileage is WAY to small for a reasonable move. Next rental truck I need we'll talk to another vendor.WILLIAM S.

The key provided in the lock box was the wrong key. I rented a 26' trailer and the key was for a small van. I spent a half hour on the phone with customer service who provided me with the correct lock box and code and I was able to get the correct key for the truck. I appreciated the 1800 service reps help but it was a pretty big error on the locations representative to put the wrong key in the wrong box given they are not open till 1230pm and u was there to pick up the truck at 9am. Other than that I thought the phone check in check out experience was pretty cool and very useful.Dan J.

If I ever rent from a U-Haul again, which is highly unlikely, I will use a different location. This location obviously, has other concerns on their mind than running this business. Their lackadaisical attitude towards honoring their business hours was extremely frustrating.Kathy R.

Very disappointed with Uhaul customer service. Was instructed to pickup Uhaul at Gaytan Market in Clearlake at 3 pm on Saturday, 8/24. Arrive at location and truck was NOT there. Clerk was annoyed with me re: Uhaul reservation process. After waiting 45 minutes, Uhaul locates vehicle in Lakeport. This is approximately 35-40 miles further away. Unclear to me, if I was charged for additional driving mileage? If someone could confirm I was appropriately charged for original mileage from Clearlake, I would appreciate. Secondly, when packing up vehicle it did not include (2) hand trucks and (3) dozen moving pads. The business was closed and could not get extras.Deanna H.
