Not make promises regarding gas reimbursement that was not honored in Bangor. Not sure where the problem lies, but I got screwed out of extra remaining fuel paymentt and that constitutes fraud from U-Haul. It needs to be dealt with, and I will be filling a formal complaint with the company and the State Attorney’s Generals office in both Maryland and Maine .

masih aI filled up the van 4 miles from the store. It was full when I dropped it off. The man at the desk said the “other guy” will check it in later and send the receipt. Well, my receipt says the van was only 5/8 full and charged me for 10 gallons of gas at $56. That is straight up fraud. I will be reporting the fraud to the state and BBB. Next stop Google and Yelp reviews. I may even plan to picket the store with a poster showing my cc receipt. You’re messing with the wrong guy.

Jeffrey FOverall it was a good experience. Location was great. Returning the key after hours was hard. I could not easily find the “Return” button in the app and the QR code on the return-key box only opened the app on the home page. I got lucky that I found the option by going to the first link that was texted to me for performing initial vehicle quality checks. Side note: it was raining when I returned and using a wet phone to take pictures is extremely difficult since you can’t click the screen. I know the weather isn’t your fault, but some sort of backup option would be appreciated. Please consider. Thank you.
Alexander BNobody was at the office, so I had to do the online rental. This process is miserable compared to just going to a counter and telling a real person what I need. After slogging through the unattended process, I was directed to a lock box to get the key for the van. The lock box I was told to use was already open and empty, so I couldn't actually use the van. I was being ready to call customer service, which is difficult to locate in the website, when the staff person just happened to stop by and saw us at the lock boxes. Had he not stopped by at that exact time, I wouldn't have been able to use the van AND I would have had to go through a miserable process to get a refund for the charge the was already made to my credit card. Returning the van was also a very long and annoying prices without someone at the counter. I had to take half a dozen photos and it took me over 10 minutes, whereas it used to take about 30 seconds. I'm already paying for the rental; I shouldn't also have to do your clerk's job on top of that. The next time I need a van I will go to Home Depot where I can still talk to a human being.
Emily CThe advertisement is a little deceiving. $19.95 for the rental, but then you add in milage which is $1.79, that’s a little high, in my opinion. Then you add in $15.00 for coverage, when I carry my own car insurance. Then theres tax and other fees, and you have to fill the gas tank back up. This was a last minute rental so I had to do it, otherwise I would have rented from lowes or home depot. The gentleman at the facility was pleasant and the facility itself was fine, cost is my issue.

STERLING LI have rented vans/ trailers from this location in the past and everything was great so this is just concerning most recent visit. I didn't notice/ check the debris left in trailer when I picked it up. There were roofing nails, screws and razor blades left in trailer that had to be removed prior to loading. I could have scattered these items on the roadway or in my yard while driving. This was a one time deal but I thought U-Haul should tag the prior customer as negligent to cleanup of trailer. I was in a hurry but will be checking closer in the future. Other than that the trailer was in good shape and worked fine. Thank you.

GERALD WI had nothing but problems with this rental. The back door would not lock and there were no other vehicle options. I had a truck full of products I using the truck to attend a 10-day trade show and needed the truck to be locked so I could keep it at the show and go out to pull product as needed. Instead I had to rent a van from other company load it full of my products and leave your U-Haul van parked at the hotel. It took a few days and at one point the roadside assistance supposedly came out and fixed it only to discover it was not fixed when I got back to the hotel. I complained again and finally it got fixed but it was too late to be of any use until after the show. I would like a refund or a partial refund of the rental for the 5 days I could not use the vehicle. I go to several shows a year and next year plan to add a few more and if things not resolved I will use a competitor. This cost me a lot of money to have to carry two rentals and the time to try and resolve the issue. A larger truck would not have worked because the wheel wells inside the larger trucks would have prevented us from placing our displays inside the vehicle. STUART WExplain that you need to be approved before the scheduled time. I had the pick up time at 2 pm I wasn’t able to pick up the truck until 2:45 because we had to call multiple representatives and was hung up on twice to explain I needed to be approved then got the following directions compared to getting an email with those instructions. And the phone number for the location never answered and was locked. In addition, the lock box for the key was almost rusted shut and if we didn’t try to pry it open. There was no way of getting the truck.

Leslie BI always have to wipe down the steering wheel and the seats because they are so dirty. When the helpers came to load the truck they made a comment about how dirty the truck appeared to be. There was also a problem with the brake release. I had such a hard time releasing the emergency brake. The release lever did not want to do what it should do on the first or second try. I was constantly trying to release the emergency brake and it took a long time. This is the first time I've ever had a truck in that condition but I've never had a problem at this location with other vehicles. The employees there are extremely helpful as well.

GREG CI did my reservation online and spoke with someone from customer service center! I was to pick up my unhaul on 11/9/25 11:20 am and return 11/11/25 at 11:20 am I received a call at 8:51 am on 11/11/25 asking when was I returning the truck!?!? They added on insurance that I declined because I carry commercial insurance so uhauls are covered! When I questioned the charges of course he then wanted to get off the phone when I asked why would I return the uhaul on 11/10/25 at 5 pm but my contract stated 11/11/25 at 11:45 am he didn’t want to talk I will NEVER use this uhaul place again they are crooks and liars!
