Representative was friendly and knowledgeable but office smelled thickly of cigarette smoke. Trailer was dirty on the outside from snow and road spray but the inside was clean. One of the tires was flat which we didn't notice until after the rep. had left the property. We were able to get the tire changed promptly with roadside assistance.Scott T.

There was moisture in the mom attic section of the trailer. One of two of our couch cushions were wet including a couple boxes. There was also glass found up there as well.William F.
U-Haul needs to have the equipment at the location closest to the customer. If I rent it in Oshkosh, I should be able to pick it up in Oshkosh, and not have to drive more than 1 hour out of my way to go and get it, and not find out about that until 1 day prior to my trip. I had an awful uhaul experience from pre rental to pick up to drop off. Before we submitted our rental online I called to inquire about us having a city to city move and the online registration not giving us the option to select a different drop off city. They said to book the rental and after it was booked they could help me adjust the drop off location to make sure it was right so I booked the rental. Then, there were bad storms and the power was out when I picked up the rental so it took longer than an hour to even get it and the person sitting outside the shell was not helpful. He basically said good luck and call uhaul cuz I can't help you. After we finally got the truck and got home to pack it up I noticed that the drop off location was listed as the same as the pick up location which wasn't okay because we were moving to a different city. We had an 8 day rental in order to pack and move to our new home. During that time I called uhaul at least 5 times to get my drop off location changed. I was frustrated everytime I called. I felt like I had to explain things everytime when I just wanted to make a simple change to my drop off location. I had two people tell me this wasn't possible even if I paid more before someone finally helped me make the change. After the change was made the drop off location want updated in my account so I called back in to try to figure out what to do with my truck at drop off. They then told me to just leave the truck and drop the keys which I was very hesitant to do because of the awful experience I had so far but this is what I did. Four days later I finally got my receipt. The charges looked accurate except for the gas I was charged for which didn't accurately represent the fuel end versus fuel begin on my rental because I never got to complete check in or check out on the vehicle and thus didn't get to personally submit the photos I had taken off the levels at start and finished, which matched. In the end, I simply did not care about this because I just wanted my experience with uhaul to be over with. I will never rent from them again.Sarah B.

I requested the rental location to cancel my insurance that I SIGNED up for on the trailer because I found that my vehicle insurance covered the trailer. The woman from where I rented the trailer said that she could not cancel but would be contacted by their corporate office. That of course never happened. Make sure you actually check your mileage and pay attention to what they're charging you for. Unfortunately I had a very negative experience here. When I arrived, a child answered and then an impatient woman helped us going. She was quick but didn't explain much. The vehicle worked fine. I wasn't entirely disappointed until after when I was emailed a receipt that charged me for twice the mileage that we had gone. I reported thugs immediately and the regional manager called me. However since I hadn't taken any pictures and had no evidence other than a gas receipt, I was forced to pay the extra. I'd fight it more but for $50 it's really not worth it. Just makes me question the values of the people who are running this place. I will never rent from here again and any other uhaul dealer I will always make sure to take a picture of the mileage before and after with a time stamped photo.Amanda G.

Upon arrival to the location the women that ran the u-Haul service was not there to check out truck and when she arrived, seemed over whelmed She brought out the contract and but a x where she wanted me sign and did so we did not go around the truck for damages or check gas or miliage which I have previously done at a different time renting from u-haul. when getting in truck the gas was at under 1/2 full, and I signed contract saying it was 3/4 full.
