Looks nice on the outside but it was a rather dingy service station on the inside. Only one person working so I had to wait while he drove my truck somewhere, went to pump gas at the full service pump, and have his lunch delivered by a friend. Hire some help.WILLIAM D.

A few items to make things better: The cargo door was froze shut on the 10 foot truck I rented - took quite a bit of effort to open. Equipment was issued late but my return time was not adjusted. Return on my receipt was two hours later than I actual, No fuel credit for over filling the tank. I would much rather receive the truck full and return it full.M T.
Absolutely terrible experience. If we even use U-Haul again it will definitely NOT be the Marion ave location. The clerk was extremely rude, unprofessional,and unwilling to assist me. The truck was disgusting; it had been smoked in heavily and smelled like a dirty bar. There was a dirty sock wedged into the front seat and a fouled napkin in the door. The bed of the truck had scrap wood still in it. The damaged areas had definitely not been "marked with an x". I certainly don't think these trucks are ever really checked by the employees. This is, in fact, the second time we've been given a filthy truck at this location. Furthermore, we did all the work checking the truck in and out and paid the same, or possibly more, than previous rentals. I've posted a review on Google as well because the whole situation was so unbelievably terrible, and I don't want others to have this same kind of experience. Your company should probably be even more concerned about preventing these experiences.Pam B.

Lot of options offered online to help save time but no choice but to wait and do it all over again at location. I thought the service at the location was overall rude and cold, like he was doing me a favor. Little to no customer service. No dolly in the van ready, no clear direction, just someone not terribly committed to making you feel you'd want to go back again. On the plus side very convenient location.Julie P.
I originally made a reservation at Exit 16 Storage on Ballard Road. Despite the reservation being confirmed the location was not open at the time I reserved my pickup. I then had to call around for other locations to try and find a truck. I have yet to receive my $50 reservation guarantee check.Sebastian W.

Truck that was reserved for me was buried in snow. Gave me a truck that was MOSTLY covered in snow. The paperwork was incorrect (probably because they changed trucks). The drop off location was also incorrect. I was moving to Johnstown,NY. Paperwork said to return it to Albany. The fuel... I was told it was 7/8ths of a tank for return. The gauge read 7/8ths but the paperwork stated â€œfullâ€. I spent the extra few dollars to fill it so there wasn't an issue. The paperwork ALSO said â€œpick up at 9:30 am.â€ The drop off time on my original paperwork said â€œreturn at 9:00am the next day. The drop off location on N Perry St in Johnstown could not find my information at drop off. He was great at the drop off location. He was confused about all of the above as much as I was. So pickup location..not so good. Drop off location was perfect.JOSEPHM M.

The truck was nice an ran well. But the truck reeked of cigarette smoke. The truck did not appear to be cleaned in between uses. Empty soda cans and cigarette butts were found inside the truck. Even more concerning is the vehicles are not being cleaned in between uses during the covid 19 outbreak.Joshua B.

UHaul Website = Terrible. Need to modify the uhaul website to clearly indicate which locations actually have the requested equipment, and eliminate the need for a CSR callback to confirm availability. The mobile check in process was extremely long, about 45 minutes for me. The chat took quite a while and they hung up on the alternate contact I provided, so after chatting what was taking so long they said they couldn't reach the contact and I explained what happened. After not hearing anything for a while I phoned Uhaul to walk through the check in process and then they finally contacted the alternate contact. Then I went around the truck documenting the damage that wasn't noted. After that I went inside the office to get the key but had to wait another 15 minutes for other customers in line. 45 minutes later I was able to leave. A faster check in process would be a great improvement. When I brought the truck back it was very quick and easy. An employee saw me drive in and met me out in the lot and took my key as I parked. That part was great!Steven C.
This is the second time I rented in the past 13 months and asked online for an appliance cart and when I get home nothing in the back besides a regular handcart with a security tag Don't offer it online if you can't supply it and charge me for it The Uhaul link to pick up your truck is not very user friendly they could make it easier.Scott V.

Contactless pick up was not conducted in a contactless way. This is the second time I have picked up a usual vehicle where I had to re-enter information for verification. Both times I had to wait for â€œverificationâ€. Both times I had to find and interact with someone who works there to pick up the keys. This is not how contactless online vehicle rental should happen. I should input my information, it should be verified - BEFORE - I go to pick up the vehicle, the truck should be unlocked and the keys inside or in a lock box and a code sent to me. Take some pictures, inspect the vehicle and go. The truck had unreported damage, was dirty, and stunk of cigarettes. Twice now I have gone with usual for a quick truck for the day, and both times it has ended up costing me in time and money what other competitors would cost - with at least the chance that things are more streamlines with better newer equipment. Likely my last time using uhaul.Corey P.
