I started the rental process in February for a late May pickup. The day before I was called and told that the truck size I rented wasn't available and that they would give me a bigger truck for the same price. This caused me to have to spend more in gas.

WILLIAM AWhen I made the reservation online I declined the insurance. When I went to pick it up, the manager told me that I HAD to get the insurance. He told me it was required on that vehicle. When I opened the doors to the back and the front there was dirt and dog hair everywhere. It was NOT clean but I didn’t have time to argue about it. Next time I rent a uHaul I will go back to where I normally rent from.

HARRY SHere's the deal. I scheduled a pick up for a 12' long flatbed trailer at this Statesboro location. All of my confirmations had the Statesboro address. I arrived to pick up the trailer and not only did they not have the trailer, but they also showed my reservation was in a completely different city. I ended up having to cancel the original reservation and select a smaller trailer which didn't meet my needs, so we didn't even use it. I don't put the blame on the Statesboro location or even the Twin City location. Both these locations were very helpful with trying to get this figured out. The Uhaul website is absolutely abysmal for scheduling and confirming a trailer at a location that didn't even have it. Plus, when the Twin City location went to cancel my trailer, they discovered that a new reservation had been opened for me two days later. I have no idea what's even happening with my reservation at this point or what I'm being charged.
KRISTIN PI had to drive an hour to pick up equipment that I reserved in Savannah months prior. The Savannah location customer service was horrible. The equipment should have been moved to where I reserved it, not my responsibility. It was a horrible experience dealing with the savannah location.
Dametria DThe uhaul truck was not clean around the passenger and driver seat area. I had to clean it myself to avoid any kind of cleaning fee that could be charged to me.

LANIE HI reached the location and the dolly I reserved was given away and then recommended to buy one in stock for $50 which I refused. Then once I noticed there was a low air tire in the I reached out to Uhaul location and drove truck back they were unable to assist stating they don't have an air compressor and to call roadside assistance because they do not have any other trucks. While driving from Georgia to North Carolina the truck sounded like it needed a lot of maintenance and kept making a lot of noises. I feel as though before anyone rents any other vehicles they should be inspected by the Uhaul location and repaired. I was very fearful of my safety as well as my 11 year old son who roade with me the entire state to state move. Very unprofessional!

JOANN SConvivial customer service! Super friendly people work at this store. And it was a breeze to turn the truck in. Literally, "Any problems with the truck? (no) Did you fill it up? (yes) Is the truck clean? (yes) Got everything of yours out? (yes) Then all you have to do is hand over the truck keys, you'll receive an email confirming details shortly." Gotta love a locally owned hardware store that also rents U-Hauls. They've won my business for sure.

Jon BI returned the truck a day early but it was not checked in by the representative at the drop off location so I had to contact them the next day. After calling them to ask why the truck was not logged in as returned the gentleman said he would do it. I waited about 4 hours and then had to call Uhaul support line and they had to contact the return location to get the truck logged in as returned. It took me almost another 24 hours to get the truck logged in as returned. Very frustrating and time consuming for absolutely no reason. It should have been a simple process.

WILLIAM CThe UHaul facility should have a better inventory of their trucks. I tried to rent a 10’, but the website said they didn’t have one. So I had to pay extra for a 15’ truck. However, upon arriving, there was a 10’ truck available, but I obtained the 15’ because it was already processed for me and I didn’t have time to go through another processing delay.
CAROL DI felt that the equipment was not in complete working condition and should have been checked before my arrival to pick up. I came from 2 and half drive to get the tow trailer and they didn’t have another one to get so I had to take that one with one working light . They didn’t try to accommodate me with any other tow trucks .even if was more than the one I had rented . Then the drop off location was closed before it was supposed to at 3:30pm so called the number on the door no answer or call back. Then on Monday I had to make sure the tow truck was checked in they act like they didn’t get until I advised of pictures and video of me leaving and calling the one eight hundred to advised of the place being closed and no one calling back before I left.
MARQUETTA TDid not receive dolly paid for. Got overcharged for mileage when less was used. The young lady at the counter was very rude and nonchalant about the ending process.
VELTA MMy truck was not ready at the promised time. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with U-Haul chat trying to get instructions to get the keys to the truck. Truck was not locked keys ended up just being in the back all you had to do was lift the door and anyone could have gotten in. The furniture blankets I requested were not in the truck. When I returned the truck no one cared at all about all the trouble I had getting the truck
Anna SThe truck was old with high mileage and it got terrible miles per gallon. The radio didn’t work. It didn’t have cruise control. It was a piece of garbage. It cost a fortune to drive it there and back from where I went.
JEREMY BMy U-Haul experience was very good. Would like if they had hitch drop wheels to raise and lower the double axle trailers. They are heavy to lift off a hitch. Otherwise the trailer was great and i had plenty of space to move my stuff.

DANIEL BPickup location did not properly attach trailer, I stopped just up the road to check and hitch was not tightened down on the ball. Upon returning the trailer also found out pickup location did not give me the assigned trailer number, took over an hour to get paperwork corrected before I could check trailer back in. Return location was very nice and apologized for all the trouble, but it still cost me a lot of valuable time in trying to get my move completed.
JASON GU-Haul did not have a representative call me the day before the rental. U-Haul also charged an extra charge on my card that I was not informed about. The location was great but the U-Haul experience was awful!
Valerie TEveryone I dealt with were great! Your system is extremely poor. The drop off location does not accept trailers, the video personal did not know this. I tried to park the trailer for 20 min while not blocking any gates as there is no space to drop anything off. Finally the manager showed up and told me to go to another location because they don’t accept trailers. She also told me this has been going on for months. This situation wasted an hour of my time.
