Everything about renting was smooth and easy. However, $100 to move one piece of furniture from Federal Way to Covington using one of the smallest vehicles (the van) is absolutely ridiculous. On top of paying gas to refill the tank a 1/4. I probably will never use Uhaul again due to this price point. That just seems way more expensive from what it used to be. Criminal to charge that much.

They charge me for insurance while I opt out and they charge me for two gallons on fuel while I returned the vehicle the same level of fuel when I got it! Proof provided! This is stealing from customers

I didn’t bother going back to tell them the truck was dirty in the cab and the cargo when I picked up the truck so it cost me 25 dollars on the return. I was being lazy and I didn’t have time. They knew the truck wasn’t satisfactory because they had to pull the truck up front. Never again will I rent this location or UHaul again. The fuel wasn’t topped off either. I should have known better because that was the second time I had a dirty truck. Lesson learned. I bet when you rent from them you will have the same experience. I highly recommend that you go somewhere else though.

I have had good experiences with U-Haul when driving one-way (state-to-state). Today, I rented a U-Haul for “in-town” use, and was charged an additional $25.00 in my credit card. I exceeded my projected mileage use by 11 miles, which should have been an additional $10-13 dollars, at most. There is an additional $10 charge that is not accounted for. I was reminded that my original cost of $58.62 was estimated. $58.62 to $83.00 is suspect at best.

The interior and exterior of the truck were dirty. There were crumbs and wrappers inside the truck. I dropped it off a few minutes before 6pm at the location, but the desk had a closed sign. So left the key in the drop box and tried to return it in the app. It just wouldn’t work. I was charged an ‘after hours’ fee because your app didn’t work, and your agent left early.

I rented it at 1:40 pm and turned it in the next day at 9am was charged for two days. I did say I might have it back by 8pm and asked if they had a drop box truck did not have trash in it but was dirty on the inside like it hadn't been wiped down in a long time

The truck that we rented had a cigarette butt in the back along with a couple things leftover from the previous customer. It also had not been swept. It seemed like no one had checked it before re-renting it. Although the lady inside was very nice, they did not have the equipment that I had reserved. I requested 2 hand dollies, 3 dozen moving blankets, and a furniture dolly. They only had the furniture dolly. It was not in the truck. I had to go back to ask for it. It just didn't seem like the truck and supplies were prepared for us.

The McClendons worker, I think McKayla, was amazing. She was fast and took great care of me. She knew exactly how to process this quickly and I was in a rush!

There was not enough staff. I arrived at 9:14am and didn’t get the keys to the haul until 9:44!am! Because 1 girl was working the registers and the uhaul check ins with no help. This is our 2nd time renting from this location. Both times we had to wait over 30 minutes in line!

The U Haul equipment and process was fine. The store employee is initially encountered was rude and condescending. Thankfully someone else came up to help before she had to process mine.

The salesperson who helped us was extremely RUDE and INPATIENT! For someone to have an unprofessional attitude at 9 a.m. is uncalled for. If she has no patience to deal with customers, then she is in the wrong field of work. Also, the rental truck was very unclean.

The truck bed floor was dirty and sticky, with a cat litter odor. Shifting gears was difficult, requiring three to four attempts to change from drive to reverse. The side mirror moved independently, obstructing the view while driving. The wheel alignment was off, causing the vehicle to pull to the right, necessitating constant steering correction. I reported these issues, but the clerk stated that I had not uploaded photos or documented the conditions, implying I was responsible for the mess. She added that I would not be charged for cleaning this time. They failed to perform their duties and blamed me. You must use the app to photograph and check all conditions. You cannot trust them because they performed maintenance on it.

Rude, untrained staff made key pickup and dropoff difficult. At pickup: refused to hand over keys since the app didn't show a "green screen" she is used to.. At dropoff: snatched the key from my hand without any explanation. After a verbal exchange, I managed to return it to the dropbox. Zero professionalism. I will not rent here again, no matter how convenient.

There was a person taking to his friend in a car outside the store. I had to blow the horn 2 times before they got aside. The lady checking me out was very rude and disrespectful.

It was a faulty tire as the tire is slowly leaking. I think it makes the psi light came on on the dashboard. Other than that everything was good thank you I was happy. I might’ve bring back the truck too soon. I might be coming back to rent another truck soon, I still got more stuff to move. Thank you for service.

Superb customer service, and very convenient to use. The U-Haul desk is in the front of the McLendon store near the cash registers. Any of the cashiers can call someone up to help you at the desk. They go out of their way to make it as effortless as possible.

Great cargo van! But keep it clean.
