We would like to begin with the Positive. The gentlemen in charge at the Shultz location was great. He did what he could to accommodate us . Uhaul has been great overall. However, our experience regarding the dates above was poor. We arrived 01/20/2022 to pick up our truck. We had some large/heavy items. We checked the truck (we had asked for a dozen blankets) however, they were not there, n'or was there a dolly. We accepted that "these things happen" and went without. We decided to keep the truck an additional day, as we had a very large move the next morning. We had requested 2 dozen blankets for this move. The next morning, we received a text message stating the individual that was suppose to drop the blankets off "forgot". and suggested we stop by Bayers lake to grab some. Keep in mind we used this location to avoid having to stop at Bayers lake. I was already in Sackville and our customer was expecting us before 9 am... We were lucky enough to have a friend that does moving as a side job. We purchased 10 Blankets (cost for us was 75.00) vs 20.00 rental. we were also late getting to our customers home. Upon arrival, we worked and loaded the truck as quickly as we could work. ( the clients are a retired couple moving to Antigonish ) When we attempted to close the door ( Items were not packed to the ceiling and there was nothing in the way of the doors cable system) we checked! The cable had come off the wheel and was tangled along the main bar connecting the wheels. We understand that we are not responsible for repairs and attempted to contact Uhaul for a service call. At the same time we had an anxious customer asking us what our backup plan was. After an approximate 40 minute hold. I decided to try and figure out a way to close the door. Fortunately I have worked on mechanical / and other door systems and we were able to remove the old locking pins to release the cable. Only to have it slide down on our business partners foot. ( customer present) Of course, bad things happen In threes....as we got closer to Antigonish ... we had more snow coming down. That's when we realized the windshield wipers were not functioning properly. The arms were elevated and not actually making contact with the windshield. Again, we pulled over and had to remove, bend and re-attach them. We finally completed the move around 7:30 PM and returned the truck just after 9 PM. Day one: Blankets expected (12) blankets available ( 0 ) No dolly. Day two: Blankets expected ( 12) blankets available (0) no dolly. Door malfunction. Windshield wiper malfunction. To be fair, so far out experience with Uhaul had been great. However, we are expecting to grow quickly and chose uhaul as our moving partner. We depend on the equipment both large and small as both are crucial to our success. We bring out truck back clean, with expected fuel and always on time (often early). So in this particular case, the overall experience was poor. Thank you, and we do look forward to both hearing from and working with you. Equality Movers, Tyrell and NickTYRELL DERRICK A W.

This is in a residential community at someone's house on a dead end street with no room to turn around. Driveway was icy, no one was working, person in the house watching TV would not come to the door. Had no idea where to leave trailer and no one came out to inspect. This location does not look good on UHaul and does not belong in this small street community. Absolutely horrible.Scott G.

This was a new location and I was the first customer. Pickup was easy and straight forward. Drop off was easy. Nice location, less busy than some of the larger facilities. Owner very personable. I will use again.Robert O.
