The truck was not swept out when I picked it up to use it for the day. I thought it was a prerequisite to do that before turning it in? There was also no dolley strapped in the back to use that day. The last truck had that included in the same rental price that I paid for this one. It made a huge difference in how much I was able to get moved in the same span of time since I was doing this move alone, I had counted on that to help me get a lot of particularly heavy stuff. I originally was supposed to pick up a truck near the house I am moving out of. Was told I could get a better deal on one close to my new home so took advantage of it. Regretted that decision. Firstly, I didn't catch that this was a convince Mega gas station, now renting trucks, so drove around and was late, looking for a typical looking Uhaul place. I was confused, but just happened to notice a couple of their truck sitting behind the station. Went around back thinking that their would be door into a Uhaul store, Nope! Walked in and asked cashier where it was, I was surprised cause he said I was in the right place. So I gave him my name and told him I was the one who was supposed to pick up a truck. He pretended to know absolutely nothing about it and told me I had to find a lady in the store with red hair and she would help me. When I found the lady with reddish tinted brown hair she was in the middle of a meeting with her coworkers, so had to interrupt her, give her my info and tell her what I needed. She just looked at me and walked me back up to the same counter I had just been at and told me that young guy I had already talked to me was supposed to help me. So the jerk, who was standing there doing nothing when I got there, evidently just didn't want to deal with me and had just tried to pawn the responsibility onto another coworker! By that point I started to get really irritated, cause I was already late trying to find the place, now this guy wanted to play games cause he didn't want to do his job! He begrudgingly took my information to start the rental process, being short and irritable with me. When I rented the first truck, it was a breeze, in and out in less than 15 minutes, that's what I was expecting from this brand new site, Nope! There rental was only done on some app, which I hate! Guy continuing to be a jerk insisted I had to photograph front and back of my ID on this App. Took 10 photos and it would not save! Never comfortable giving someone a photo of the back ID anyway, but finally held my phone out to the kid and told him I couldn't get it to save after he told me I was doing it wrong, thinking he knew how and could show/help me, Nope! He said no I am not doing it, You do it, after having tried multiple times! Finally, somehow that went through, then he asked what form of payment I wanted to use and I told him cash and he was like We don't take Cash! I had everything set up and straightened out with the original pick up location and this guy acted like I was the idiot! I was there over 45 minutes trying to get the paperwork figured out, dealing with a guy who was irritated about me asking him to do his job! Found out he didn't give me Any of the information I needed to do a Self return on that truck and that whole ordeal took over an hour for me to figure out and complete! So needless to say I will NEVER use that Uhaul location again or another Mega Maverick location for that matter!

There was no dolley in the truck and the green bag was already open. Hopefully they domt charge me for something the previous customer did. Other then that had a good experience
Chelsea HStaff were super helpful getting me checked in and on the road to move!
Layne Fnothing. It was very smooth.
Phil AI would use a staffed location if possible. It took over 30 minutes to get into the truck using the app. Phone support was very helpful, thankfully.
Scott WIt's not the location, it's your policies. When I go pick up the truck, the concept of customer service is beyond you. For example, excellent customer service would be that if someone would go start it to warm it up. Nope. Well, at least you could clean the snow and ice off the windshield. Nope. Well, at least lift the wipers off the windshield so they're not frozen to it. Nope. I'm left to do everything for myself, including taking pictures of the truck out in the freezing cold, stepping in snow and ice, before I can rent it. You do nothing for the customer. This may be the last time I rent a U-Haul. The prices are getting too high, anyway. I'm sure there are others that are cheaper.
