I rented an open trailer that was not cleaned out by the previous renter as it had dry-wall debris throughout the bed of the trailer. I can understand the leaves that had fallen from the trees above but the trailer should have been swept before then.nazaReno G.

I rented a truck for well under 24 hours from a dedicated uhaul facility not a third party, disputed the initial charge of ~180$ was supposed to receive a call to go over the issue never got the call, checked my credit card the proper charge of ~128$ was paid a few days later. About a month has gone by and for some reason your company just stole another ~150$ from my credit card, I will be calling when I'm done work and have time and if the issue is not resolved immediately I will contact the police and my bank in regards to the misuse of my credit card information. I'm not someone that's rented a uhaul once or twice I have been renting them for myself/friends/family for 10 years yet things like this happed every single time. This company is ridiculous and acts like they have a monopoly on the industry when in fact every other company offering the same provides much better quality of customer serviceAlain G.

I needed a truck to use for a D class road test so I rented the 26 ft Uhaul truck as it says on the website that its GVWR is 25999 lbs which is perfect for what I need. HOWEVER, in actuality the GVWR on the truck I rented was only 22000 lbs, so I automatically failed my road test as it did not meet the weight requirements. I'm not sure how you can have such a MASSIVE disparity (4000 lbs off) from what you display on your website to what the real weight rating is. Not to mention this could be extremely hazardous to other renters requiring a vehicle to move big heavy stuff. Overall I feel like I was scammed.Jacob R.

Lack of signage : there is a very small UHaul sign on the entrance door to the shop, but there are no large signs in front of the building or near Merivale Road. Since the trailers and trucks are hidden in the back of the building, this makes it harder to find. This being said, the service was great.Vincent V.

I had to wait 20 minutes even though I had already checked in. On returning the car trailer that I rented last night, there was not enough room to back the trailer in because other trailers had been placed so as to take up too much room. I was handed over vehicle with false fuel data so owner expected me to fuel the vehicle that he thought was filled up yet that was not the case so I took pictures of fuel gauge reading before and after using the truck..I could not discussed data descrapancy with owner as location was closing when the truck was picked up...by the time I go and complain to owner the location was closed for the day... Clients are expected to walk around the outside of the building (strip mall) to the equipment parking area in order to find the equipment they rented. Improve access to a corridor from store front to and from the rental equipment in the back parking area. Such a corridor could be used to display moving supply products or photos.charles J.
We had originally booked a van from moonlight event rental and took an Uber there. The location was closed and no vans to be seen. Contacted the location and they did book us at another location. Took an Uber to u-haul at 1749 bank street. There were other customers who told us they had booked a truck in advance but the location seemed to be closed although they were supposed to open at 10am. At this point it was 10:15. Both me and my husband and the two other customers tried to reach u-haul customer service which was useless. Ended up getting a ride with the other customers to the third location where we did get a van. At this point we were running late two hours with a hotel check out and pick up times for furniture. We had to contact hotel and different vendors to organize the day. In addition to this we also had to take an Uber back after returning the car as the location we finally got a van from was far. This experience was absolutely awful! How can this happen? We expect a full refund for all the Uber rides and the extra kilometers on the Uhaul van. We chose a different location for a reason. It's appalling that this would happen. Please let me know what to do for said refunds. This additional review has nothing to with merivale convenience moving suppliers who were very accommodating and made this horrible experience with moonlight event rental and 1749 bank street locations somewhat palatable. Moonlight event rental stopped answering my phone calls after they had failed to book us another rental. The location should not be operational. It was appalling. Moving is stressful already but this was off the charts. I will avoid uhaul in the future and tell everyone not to bother as the service is extremely unrealiable. The Customer service at uhaul was really at the core of the issue and not helpful at all.Satu P.

Like any UHAUL show up before your suggested pick up time as getting underway could take a while. Staff at this location are extremely polite and helpful, but if you are not super comfy driving either a big truck or trailer...Merrivale can be scary to turn on.
