I made lots of last minute changes to my reservation and the people at Ace were great!
Scott EI rented a Uhaul truck on Dec 26 to help my son move out of his college apt. We dropped it off the same day at the location closest to where he was moving to (which was recommended by the rep at the pickup location). 3 weeks later I get a receipt showing I had been charged for 7 extra days to the tune of $280! It also noted a 1/4 dropoff date which is not accurate. I have contacted Uhaul and all they have done is file a "dispute form" on my behalf. Rest assured if this is not resolved it will be the last time I ever use Uhaul for anything. And, that's really a shame considering ive been a customer many times over for about 30 years now with no issues ever! If this is what their business practice has become I would say stay far away.

JOSHUA NMy son had reserved a truck in November to help me move, and when he arrived to pick it up he was it had been given to someone else and told they accidentally overbooked. Thus the four instead of five start rating. The current experience was good except the reservation had to be corrected because it said it was for a one way instead of daily use even though my reservation stated a return to the same place.

VALERIA RWhen I rented I was told the gas tank was full and that I had to return the truck with a full tank or be charged $4 per gallon for fuel. As I drove off the lot I noticed the tank was 1/8 to 1/4 below full. There was also a “sensor alert” message on the vehicle notice panel that I was told to just ignore. I drove the vehicle a total of 5 miles but I did refuel the tank to full so I wouldn’t be charged the excessive cost for the fuel. I paid over $11 for fuel for my 5 miles….that’s ridiculous. When I returned the vehicle I mentioned this to the store and no offer was made to reimburse me for this absurdity’. It also took the attendant 10 minutes to “verify” my return of the vehicle before I could leave.

SHANNON SI’ve picked up and dropped off several UHaul rentals at this location and they have always been very helpful and professional.
MATTHEW EThe pick up of the vehicle took too long!! The staff showed us how to take pictures of the truck on the phone and it was difficult and took way too long. He was very nice and informative but that part of the process is always time consuming.

CHARLES BThe truck itself needed some maintenance. Each time I started it (about five times total), it acted like it didn’t want to start, and it seemed to get worse each time. It reminded me of when a light gets left on and the battery drains. I wasn’t driving very far, so maybe it just didn’t get enough charge, but that was my only complaint. The checkout process was a little confusing and overwhelming because it happens so quickly, but fast is also good. Since this was my first time, I know what to expect next time and it should be easier. Overall, it was a good experience.
Bryce WThe customer service from the location was fine but the trailer had been unknowingly rented out with incorrect and improperly balanced wheels and one of the spring loaded ramp stops were broken. None of this was known until after I had left and was committed to not returning it early. When I returned it the next day ace hardware reps were very receptive to my feedback on the equipment and removed it from service to be fixed up. Whoever is charged with fixing these trailers were slapping together whatever worked instead of ensuring it was done properly. If the trailer had anything else wrong with it it would’ve been a show-stopper to my planned use of the trailer.
