The Lock instructions conflict. While remote picking up of vehicle, the piece of paper with the key says to drop off the lock before leaving and while dropping off the vehicle the App says to use the lock to return the key.

TAREEQ AI had to wait for an hour because the truck I was assigned was wrongly parked and blocked by other trucks and it couldn't get out of the parking. Also, the initial fuel level was wrongly reported by staff and I was overcharged upon return. And hI had to waste my time again fixing it because of their mistakes
Arek KMost of the issues are related to parking: the spaces are too tight, the area is very busy on Sundays, the office is far away, and there isn’t enough room to turn the vehicle around and a few parking spots to return it. Equipment is good and fair priced.

Jeff PCheck-engine light was on for the truck that I got and it wasn’t mentioned anywhere when I picked it up.
HEMIT SReserved a truck and a dolly. After picking up the truck and driving it home to start loading my furnitures, i discovered that the dolly is missing. Customer support was abysmal. In the end i had to drive an additional 18 KM to get the dolly somewhere else, wasting gas money and my time. No compensation was offered.

Karm SThe gentlemen managing the site on Friday/Saturday is incredibly rude, and mysognistic. We were late returning the truck, and the Jamaican gentlemen repeatedly called us from his personal cell phone threatening that we will be fined $50/1/2 hour for the truck being late. I’m aware of contract law and no where in the agreement does it state such a punitive outcome if a customer is late with the truck. He kept calling back and berating my wife. I finally got on the phone with him and said we’re not taking anymore of his harassment. I’m more than willing to make a more material complaint as U-Haul is a great service, and you have a manager at your mavis location that presides over a culture of anger and intimidation. It’s outrageous.
Jonathan DI didi everything on the app and ent for pickup but they said go stand in the line at the counter which took 30 mins plus and missed my pickup time for which I took the U-Haul. Wasted all my money.

Edwin RMy experience with U-Haul was extremely disappointing due to poor communication and lack of commitment. When I booked the vehicle, I was clearly told that mobile pickup was available. I even received a confirmation call the day before, stating that I could pick up the vehicle at 7:00 AM from the location. However, when I arrived at the store, there was no mobile pickup option available. I contacted customer support and was told that the store would open at 9:00 AM and I could only pick up the vehicle then. I had to return home by Uber and come back again at 9:00 AM. Even then, the store was still closed. After calling customer service again, I was informed that the store actually opens at 10:00 AM. I ended up waiting in front of the store until 10:00 AM, after already spending $30 on Uber rides. On top of that, I had scheduled a loading crew to arrive at 8:00 AM. They had to wait for two hours, costing me an additional $150. Because of this complete lack of proper communication and coordination, all my moving plans were disrupted. This experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and unnecessarily expensive. What makes this even more disappointing is that when I returned the vehicle just one hour late, I was charged an additional $40. While customers are expected to strictly follow timelines, the same level of commitment was clearly not maintained on your end. U-Haul seriously needs to improve its communication and accountability towards customers.
Surendar JFrankly speaking this location is the best to get a UHAUL rental car, the service is Excellent.
SORIE Tthey had me sign for the fuel at 14/16 but actually it was only 13/16. So I retruned with 13/16 and they charged me extra 13 bucks for fuel cost. I flagged that on return and they just said fill at the level you got it from and cut my concern. Moreover the final reciept reduced the inital kilometer reading. and charged me for that too. I would never recommend this location to anyone.

Icaro OAwful service. Arrived at the time of my reservation to find a locked door and no one there, or anywhere on the lot. Employee arrived 25 minutes later without a word. He was gruff and rude. The dolly’s I reserved were not available. Then he charged me for a dolly I didn’t take. Then when I pointed that out he said he’d credit it back but never did. I could go on. Every step of the entire process was bad. Please contact me if you care or want more info.

AZIZ GThe pick up location was easy to find and the attendant gave us the keys and sent us on our way. We found the truck and documented all the needed pictures and information. Drop off was difficult. It was in a location that was not easy to identify. We dropped off the truck without any assistance however was charged a fee for “after hours” drop off. The check in time noted on my bill was after the 24 hr pick up time. This was incorrect. I do not know if this impacted my bill. We did not get gas and fully expected to be charged for gas. However, there is hst on gas and I was charged taxes again at the bottom of my bill. My suggestions: drop off and pick up locations should be clearly marked. The invoice needs to be more specific and reader friendly. It is almost impossible to contact UHaul. To get clarification on billing etc.
Christine MDispute Reference #5772820 The truck was dropped off within 8 hours of being picked up and yet we were charged an extra $80 or so for an extra day as well as another $16 charge for insurance (which was a result of the error by the other office). So now we were charged $16 twice. When we tried to deal with the issue, the customer service agent could only "elevate" the issue and send our pictures of mileage and the date of return to the drop off location for a follow up instead of resolving it herself. Now we have to take more time to explain and resolve the situation again with someone else. Still no satisfaction as of yet.

RAJENDRA GTerrible experience. Truck wasn't ready for mobile pickup, dolly wasn't provided, truck was boxed in when i got it. Booked my Truck for 8am and didn't leave the parking lot till 945am. Complete joke.

Evan HI rented pickup truck. My trip was 8km in distance and I filled tank with 4 liters of gas before returning. Final invoice had 8 liter gas charge. How is it even possible that I drove 8km and burned 12 liters of gas? Even 8 liters I was officially charged is ridiculous. I am very unhappy with this experience

Archie HHorrible experience. Told by a employee to move the truck to another area and he disappeared. Could not locate the Uhaul office and was told by another business next to the drop off parking, that the office is in the flea market. Had to ask three people to find the office. Employee told me to go back out to find the guy in the parking lot to check in the truck. I refused, gave her the key, and left. Horrible experience.
ARNOLD SInitially paid $75. Total kilometres run 23. Vehicle returned at 5.00PM. Original fuel marker was between 1/4 & 5/16. Vehicle refueled at Petro Canada (Canadian Tire branch) upto 5/16 mark. Receipt provided along with the key as advised by the Petro Canada cashier. In the new invoice refuelling charges of $13 is not acceptable. Will be contesting this claim in person with the UHaul representative.
MELWYN PLot was not well signed. I basically drove into the back lot and parked with all the other U-Haul vehicles. The back lot was muddy and there was garbage everywhere. There was no drop box for keys. I did the online return and handed the keys to the clerk in the office. She took them but said there was an employee in the lot. A bit confusing but manageable.
christopher p“Office” is inside a flea market. You p/u the key there and have to drive all the way to the back where the vehicles are, find it amongst all the other ones (!!) then you submit pictures of all sides of it and verify the gas, mileage etc. The truck desperately needs a new exhaust system (!!!) and the check engine light was on the whole time. If it was really cheap I’d say go for it, but this place is pretty sketchy.
Gregory PThe mobile pickup option is messed up, you can not just do the check in by yourself, you need to find a person to get the keys from? And the person start asking things about your renta, informations which you already provided in the app and already put as part of the “self check-in”? Instructions on the app are not correct for both check in and drop off which generates frustration, delays and confusion. Definitely not like any UHaul experience I had before, 1/10

JANET DThe truck was great, good working order. The location was in a flea market- seemed very run down. Service: ok at best. Returning a truck mid day can be tricky since you are in a busy flee market parking lot.

Loi TThe guy working in the booth at the Mavis location was polite/good customer service. I would not recommend this location because there no parking at the front and U-haul lied. I returned the vehicle at 4:45 pm and dropped the key in the drop box at 4:48pm - Sunday April 12, 2026 and they lied on the receipt that the vehicle was returned at 8:45pm. I have pictures of the pickup/return. Mileage/gas...etc, the vehicle.
hyman ci had a 15’ truck booked for over a week. went to get it using self pick up on Saturday morning at 9am. there were no keys left behind and the business didn’t open until 1030. called customer service and they transferred my booking to another location. had to drive there then wait in line to be served. finally had my truck (1/4 tank of fuel remaining and flashing engine light). $350 paid for the day. i think ill go with enterprise next time.
Jake Mpick up and drop off was super easy. ordered a furniture dolly but it wasnt included so that was disappointing. Also the app would not let me upload photos of the truck/equipment before use. This bug needs to be fixed

ALI JThe car was not where it was supposed. It took me 1.5 hours to locate the car and made me super late. I ordered and paid for moving mats and they were not provided in the vehicle and i have made a claim but have not heard from the location yet.
Matthew VTruck’s cabin was very dirt, with mud spilled all around the dashboard, and with food remains. Parked on a muddy parking lot with difficult access. Truck was damaged on the right side and on the front bumper. Requested items on the reservation (sheets, carts etc) were not available.

Ashley MThe rear right tire was low pressure when I picked up the truck and I tried to filling it air from 2 gas stations but couldn't reach more than 70 psi because their machines weak and have only 80 psi and the requirements for this truck is 110psi so it was unsafe to drive it on highway to Windsor!!
