The elderly man, Charlie, set my drop off to the wrong location. 100 miles out of my way, after I told him 3 times that I was NOT going to Birmingham. Guess where he set my drop off for. If you drop it off at the wrong place, you have to pay a fee. After several phone calls, and finding out that customer service can do nothing to change my destination,I had to call Charlie back. I literally had to spell Gadsden 4 times before he got it right. We were there for an hour and a half.Nancy T.

I selected a Memphis drop. It was only after I left that I got an email charging me $28 for a â€œBad dropâ€. I had no idea what that meant until this survey says you thought I was dropping in Ohio. I have used your Memphis location several times. Not sure where Ohio came from.Steve C.

The truck needs snow tires and even though each and every time I enter my information and pre-register online it never shows up when I actually get to the location to rent the equipment Charlie at modern is fantastic he explains everything well and his equipment is always in good condition however u-haul Needs a better system for reserving the equipment and a better process when checking the equipment outCheryl W.

The safe move insurance was added to my reservation without my knowledge. On my original reservation that I made online, I made sure everything was correct, even did the pre check in, so when I went to sign during pick up I did not thoroughly read the contract and had not noticed that the guy took it upon himself to charge me for it. I used uhaul during my move last year when moving from WA state to OH and a bunch of problems emerged then too. If I do not get reimbursed you will be losing out on customers who moves yearly for school and work. If I'm going to have to pay more than expected, I may as well go else for my future needs.Bryanna H.

Dealer fine but found large barley patched hole in roof of trailer as i was leaving on my trip. Roof patched with chunk of plastic milk carton and putty. It also had little stickers on it saying it was adjusted . Insurance.i think. I put metal duct tape on it and left on trip. It did leakDAVE C.
I purchased my truck as a one way. I sent someone to pick up the truck and the attendant asked if the truck was coming back and my driver said i dont know. So the attendant marked it as a round trip. I the person who purchased this rental and my card attached to this rental to be charged. So i take the truck to willoughby to drop off as i originally request and ended up being there for over 30 minutes because of the attendant changing my rental to a round trip. My card was charged for more then it should of been. Now i have ti wait for a refund. Overall bad experienceChuck B.

I am sure Charlie was not aware that the trailer had roof damage that was repaired by someone else..It leaked all over my furniture..My 65" big screen was wet and my bedding also..It looked like a tree limb had fallen on it when I looked at it here in Texas..Someone tried to patch it and use calking of some kind that didn't work..I showed it to the manager here in Texas upon my delivery..Dave W.

I had no problems with Modern Auto Body. My problem was with U-Haul in general. I requested a 20 ft trailer which I reserved 2 wks before it was needed, but the day before I needed trailer the only trailer they had was a 15 ft trailer. I ended up with a 15 ft trailer plus a "van trailer" to pull behind the 15' trailer. This was very disappointing.Pamela T.
The truck I reserved was not there and the one I ended up with was bigger. I was told the price would not change but I was charged extra for the larger truck. I called customer service and was on hold for a long time but now I was told I will get reimbursed for the extra fee in 3-5 business days. Why so long to correct your mistake?JOHN B.

Awesome location. Calm, friendly, and we met a new mechanic who knows how to work on jeeps (mine is having issues). So very happy with the visit. He was very helpful on the phone, though we were all confused about the return date. Knowledgeable and friendly. Recommend any time.Erica S.
We ordered a utility Dolly with the truck and we went to pick the truck up they didn't have the dolly. We weren't told until we got there. So we ended up wasting half a day and gas traveling around to find a uhaul rental that had one. Not happy at all.Jeff T.

I had requested that the pickup be a Bunker Hill since I have rented U-Haul from them many times in the past with no problems. This was by far the worst and most challenging haul ever. The electric brakes on the trailer did not want to release properly after a stop. Making it hard to pull. Tail gate latch was rusted, and had to sprayed with lube before we could even open the trailer, and door was also quite tough to roll up. Yes it was clean. Wire connector had bent prongs and had to be worked really hard just to get the plug in. Sales guy was nice, and helped with the hookup. I really appreciate that since this is a really big trailer, but I have rented a trailer this size twice before, and have never had any problems. Overall this was not a good experience this time.TERRY D.
