Area where the 26’ trucks are parked is not in an area that is easy to get out. Grassy area with no exit ramp. Needed to go over a curb. On the return the key drop off area is not in an area that makes any sense. If your area to pick up the truck key is next to the U-Haul sign why would the key slot box be in front of the Montgomery Car Wash?

The app, cell service or something was very slow, the check process had to be stopped and call for assistance. The return process was slow to upload the pictures.

Rebecca SIt took us a full hour to pick up the truck. There is no cell coverage there. The fuel was at 1/8 tank but the app said 1/4 and the odometer was off by 100 miles too. I tried to make a correction, add a photo and a comment, but you couldn't continue with the process with one of those three. I had to back up and just accept the wrong information in order to pick up the truck. I called the phone number and the lady didn't know how to check any of it and said I'd have the opportunity to add comments when I dropped off the truck, but if I added comments, I couldn't finish the process! What?! I had to allow you to bill my card for the wrong amount JUST TO DROP OFF THE TRUCK. Never again.

You do all the work yourself via mobile phone, so how do you get the return date wrong when you have to report it returned online? Makes no sense how this error could occur. Overall never saw a single face, I did all the work via phone, and was charged with a lot of hidden fees at the end. F.
Allen SThe truck has over 100k miles and has many issues, malfunctioning driver seat belt retractor, cargo lights don’t work, ramp is very difficult to manipulate, vehicle idles very roughly, mirrors do f adjust.

Sean MThe automated process was very clunky. It required me to allow location services on my cell which never connected properly. I drove a total of 10.3 miles yet was charged over $12 for 3 gallons of gas . Unless Uhaul is willing to say their vehicles only get 3.3 mpg, I felt like this was an unnecessary extra squeeze.

Phil JThere was no clear place to park. And after doing the self check-in online I think I was charged for staff check in. But I don't know because I never got an itemized invoice/receipt. Not thrilled
James BThe location is pretty crappy and luckily it is a good small town otherwise you would feel unsafe picking up a truck at night. It takes quite a while to go through the pickup and dropoff process so this should always be done by 2 people. Trucks also parked in tall grass that is like a ditch, so you need a gutsy experienced driver to get it out. I would not want to do this in the rain.

angela rThe 24/7 checkin process is cumbersome. Why is their a need to take photos of the driver's license if it has already been uploaded to the site? Also, there was a mixup on the rental. The truck I was assigned was given to someone else. After 45 minutes, with the help of Liberty on the phone, I was finally able to get a rental. The check-out process worked well.
Keith KIt was over an hour from when I arrived until I was able to get the key and drive the truck. The online process froze up and glitched out many times and almost impossible to take clear enough photos to be qualified to drive. Some agents are better than others, Randi was slow to help and never reaaly did, just kept making me take pics over n over again ...then timed out. Eventually connected w an agent that helped me get on the road .

Alireza EThe owners happened to be at the location and this was great, as the self pick up was not overly intuitive, they were a great help...they had to use their tools to release the lock for self pick up. Trucks front end seemed a bit unstable, but otherwise truck seemed to be in decent shape.
Rex SThere was no dolly or blankets on the truck. The phone number and online reservations and your ass are horrible. I could not check out via mobile, which is what I needed. I spent an hour waiting to talk to somebody and then the call dropped because I was on the phone for too long. If the manager didn’t show up and call her manager, I don’t know what would’ve happened. Saying it was an extreme setback and disappointment for a three hour delay that pushes everything and this organizes everyone’s schedule, is an understatement. The Beaumont location got a good review, because I wanted to talk to a real person that was there and turn the truck in. I wasn’t gonna try your app or phone number again. I would rather pay hundreds, if not thousands of more dollars to use someone else to move instead of dealing with this again. Hopefully, You care about Customer Service or want more information. Valarie RRemote Renting was new to me. I wasn't real sure of the process. I had trouble opening the lock until a representative happened to show up and explain how to open it. I wasn't sure how much gas I needed to replace, so I overfilled to be sure. The return process did not work properly at all, and required many emails to ensure it had been done right. It was probably me as much as it was my phone not allowing me to show my location upon return, but the Rent and Return process left a bit to be desired. And that truck literally GUZZLES GAS. What is U-Haul doing to be more eco-friendly in the 21st Century? Thanks.

DENNIS BWe did not have a good experience with Uhaul, not this location but the one we originally booked with in College Station whom gave our truck to someone else without calling us. The 24/7 check in location would not work on my phone until I downloaded the app. My husband was not able to check it back in due to bad service at this location.
