My experience with U-Haul, specifically with an employee named Joanna Hang, was not just disappointing but downright appalling. When I arrived to pick up a truck I had reserved, and when I double-checked whether my payment had been processed as I had provided my credit card details by phone, I was met with hostility. Joanna Hang responded by yelling a blunt "Noooo, you didn't pay" at me. This level of rudeness and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. As someone who has been a respectful resident of Canada for nearly seven years, I was embarrassed, especially in front of a guest new to the country. It was an utterly disrespectful encounter that tarnished the reputation of U-Haul for me. I urge potential customers to consider this experience when choosing a rental service, as the treatment I received was unacceptable and indicative of a severe lack of customer service skills.

Bruce C.With my last 2 rentals, both times the folks doing the check-in were friendly but just at the most odd location. One was in the middle of nowhere and needed to drive a LOT of extra kilometers to pick up and drop off the truck. The second is in the middle of a dense residential area also needing to drive extra kilometers to pick up and drop off the truck plus getting stuck in that residential area traffic. Being close to a major roadway is kinda of a must.

When I we tried to use the app to return the truck we were not able to do so because the location could not be located. I installed and uninstalled the app several times. I also tried on another persons phone and the location would not show up. I ended up calling the support line and thankfully the agent was able to send me a link and I signed out that way. This was the worst experience and I have been renting uhaul vehicles for 40 years.

Kari E.101 dollars for a distribution fee? 19.95. A day. My ass. Maybe. Disclose those added fees beforehand. What a joke. My bill was 145 bucks for a 4 hour rental. However, I was told only like $40 was due when I picked up the truck. Total false advertising. What a scam I'm probably never renting from U-Haul again.

She did struggle with basic English too and I feel like a lot of miscommunication was from that issue. Truck I rented had a misfire and check engine light on. Would never go back to that location (Queensland)
Cory H.Van had some garbage in it, included a dental pick in the driver-side door wheel well - ewww. The drink holder had frozen coffee in it that of course melted and slopped when the cab heated up. And a few other pieces of debris. The driver-side windshield wiper was in disrepair, sliding off of the holder, so it was scraping the windshield. This will score the glass, distorting the view and possibly leading to cracks or failure. And, as always, the "Check Engine, Oil Replacement" display was on... Ran well otherwise. But am always surprised that U-Haul doesn't invest in winter tires to protect their vehicles.

As well, the location is a bit of a scam for a few dollars in kilometres as it's way in a community. I don't agree with the weekend being more expensive for kilometres. Should be one flat rate.

janusz W.Booked truck and 2 dolly's a few weeks ago to ensure everything was ready for the move. Got to the pickup location to find no dolly's available. Was sent to Blackfoot trail location to pick up dolly's, got there none available. Was then sent to 36st SE location finally got furniture moving dolly. Wasted at least an hour while helpers waited for me at the move site.
