I rented the u haul van today at 3:30pm and done at 5:39pm. The staff asked me if i will use the same card and i said yes and he did the transaction in his computer and printed the receipt and it was $53.69 . I tried to call the store today but it was closed because i just noticed when i got home that on my debit card transactions that u haul charged me $110.20 instead of $53.69 only I am so disappointed because if i didn't check it i will never know that he charged me double I will call again tomorrowGean D.

When I called in for a quote to rent a van for a few hours, I was quoted $20 plus .59 per km for mileage. When I picked it up I was charged $172.15 as a deposit (fine but would have been nice to be told as what if I didn't have that much available on my credit card) and then the contract said .89 per km, plus I was told I had to also top up the gas to return it at the same level it was when I rented it (also fine but should have been mentioned in the initial quote), so my total came to $46.02 plus the $10 I put in for gas so it was more than I had planned on, and today is Monday and my credit card is still showing a charge for $172.15 which was only supposed to be the hold/deposit charge, not the $46.02 that I should actually be charged so hoping over the next few days the charges are corrected.tracy R.
The truck was disgusting, had spilled coffee on the ground, dirty tissues in the doors, smelled terrible, dust everywhere, steering wheel felt sticky and gross. Just disgusting, I felt like I had to take a shower after I dropped it off and wash all of my clothes in hot water. I will definitely not go back to that location EVER again. This location was cluttered and messy, the store floors etc were dirty. We had to go through the back door to get to the vehicle - a hallway crammed with cooking items and boxes. The vehicle was parked in the alley - dark with poor lighting. Couldn't see the vehicle well enough to inspect it. Had to use my cell phone light. An employee was doing personal grooming while we checked in, didn't even look up to greet us.Annette P.

This location is disgusting, rotting orange peels, professional papers strewen around the desk, kids coats and backpacks across chairs behind the counter, i saw a slushi machine in the corner that was buried in cloths, boxes and other home things, i dont know weather i walked into a house or a buisness. Between the abundance of things for sale, little to no advertisement of sale goods, appalling cleanliness, personal items everywhere, and private documents towering around the counter i dont know how the buisness is still functioning It leaves all leaves me with a shocking feeling that this is the type of place that is allowed to rent out u-haul trucks, if there was a minimum level of service bar this location is using a jack hammer to push it downwardEric M.

We originally rented a trailer for a 4 day rental for pick up in Kensington were rerouted last minute to meridian road where we picked up a trailer that was in very poor condition the wiring did not work there's spray paint on it and in the trailer was in just general poor condition we were then we wrote it over the Queensland location and then were informed that we were a day late for a four day rental so the information was not correctly relayed from location to locationDan E.

This may or may not be the specific locations fault. But it was extremely inconvenient that I had to pick up the trailer one day ahead of time. And I was only notified of that change, the day before the booking. We had nowhere to store the trailer, there was a concern of theft especially as the trailer had no lock and no option to buy lock. The workers at this location themselves were helpful, so these comments are not directed towards them, but to uhaul company's organization as a whole. That their policy is that it's ok for them to be extremely inconvenient to their customers and still charge them top dollar.eileen T.

This is a small store doing uhaul rentals as an addon to their business. They did their best and the trailer worked properly. They were helpful when the lights didn't work as I had a fuse blown to the trailer lighting. Service was fast and friendly, and patient when we had light troubles too.James S.
We were told we could not deliver the trailer we had rented at the location we had made arrangements to drop it off at when we reserved it because of city of Calgary bi-laws. Why was this not mentioned when we made the reservation. We delivered it to our preferred location anyway and saw that there was another trailer exactly the same at the location. The whole process was stressful and the U-Haul staff were extremely unhelpful. They just kept repeating the same things, information it seems they were unable to give us a month before when we made our reservation. Bad experience from start to finish.tom H.

The location was not open at the time of the booking @8:00am. I called and contacted U-haul, and was told that someone would be there by 9:00am. Nobody showed up until 9:20am. This resulted in a 1.5 hour delay for me to move the items I needed to. I was not impressed.Keith R.

The truck was almost empty when i picked it up. The truck pick up location changed 3 times in the space of an hour. The pick up location was to be open at 8 and when we arrived at 8:15 it was not. I called them and they said they do not open until 9 am. We waited for them. After i started to leave Calgary (about 20 minutes on the road) the Check Engine light came on. I stopped and checked the oil to find it at the add line. This seemed odd but thought i would add oil in a few minutes when i got gas. When i got gas i put a litre of oil in and then fueled it and washed the windows that were a mess. The fuel started overflowing the tank from under the truck and made a large mess on the ground and the pump would not shut off. This made we think the gas pump was faulty. It then pulled out to check if the light would clear. IT did not. I called U-Haul Road Side Assistance and explained all of this. The agent said if the gauges were fine and the truck was operating fine then drive it. I did. I then fueled again in Whitecourt to again have the gas overflow from the tank under the truck. Now i think there is a hole in the tank. This was also explained to the agent in Grande Prairie. This cost me a lot of waste time and money. I expect so compensation. Call me.Paul F.
This was not the location I booked for pick up. It was a major inconvenience to get there and the premises where not clean or inviting. We spent over an hour while the attendant tried to figure out the booking. We ended up having to restart the process as a walk in customer. The u haul online booking service seems like a joke. We booked a trailer in another city and got a call the day before it wasn't available. I then booked in Calgary and got sent to a different location. Not impressed with u haul. I will never use u haul again and will be letting family and friends know about my negative experience.Craig A.

U Haul I booked was for Blackfoot trail location, confirmed couple days before pickup. On the pickup day they didn't have the truck there. The stuff at Blackfoot trail was very impolite and did offer any solution. They have sent me to Quensland location and I had to go back to Blackfoot to pickup auto transport. Very poor service. The U Haul I've got wasn't in best driving condition for a trip from Alberta to Southern Ontario.Boris T.

Icy road conditions lead to my being stuck on ice and having some difficulty just backing out from the driveway. I would have booked another day but van Needs Winter Tyres. Also was slow because of icy roads and tyres could not grip. If not for these issues it was a great experience.rodney G.
