My rental was reserved in Madison WI in advance. My pick up location was changed the day before to a location 100 miles from Madison. I did work with Uhaul to find another location in Milwaukee but still caused me to drive an extra 80 miles. The rep stated I would not be charged for the extra miles and that I'd have 600 miles(which was plenty). I drove under 500 and was still charged for extra miles even though I disputed it when returning. The truck cab was not clean upon pick up which I cleaned(floor not vacuumed and cup holders full of some sticky liquid). I did take photos when picking up. No huge deal but should have been in better shape. Also, it was raining during our move and the overhang leaked(grandma's attic). Everything loaded onto the overhang was wet and one carpet pad was ruined that we had to throw out. I have photos. The U-Haul customer service staff was very friendly and tried to help with my pick up. I do appreciate that I was allowed to pick up the truck a day early since it was so far away from my reserved location. Ultimately we completed our move which was the main goal but the experience could have been much better. I was hoping to get a little discount for my troubles but instead was charged and extra mileage charge per the emailed receipt and had to pay for 6-8 extra gallons of fuel($20-25) because U-haul didn't have the truck where I reserved. Moving to another state is stressful enough without the added work trying to pick up the truck. This is my 100% honest review of this experience. Thank you
