No one was there because the business was closed but yes it was clean, dropped off the truck with no problem and put the keys in the lock box.

The Uhaul checkout process itself was fine through the app. This location still requires you to come in to the store for the keys despite lockboxes being located outside. All employees were clueless to how the process works including the one designated to handle the rentals. All I needed were keys as i completed the simple checkout process on the app. The employee gave me the wrong key which I discovered when the van wouldn’t start and the remote armed the other van in the parking lot. I had to again enter the store to flag the designated person down for the correct set. Then upon completing the check in process through the app at the end of the rental I again had to return the key inside because the lockbox didn’t work, with 3 to 4 employees standing around, no one knew what to do and I stood at the counter for an unneeded 10 minutes to simply hand over the key as the return was done through the app. This locations’ incompetence about the Uhaul process wasted 20 minutes of time I could have been using to move. Why waste my time going inside to get keys when everything is completed on the app and the lockboxes are right there?

Christine DCurtis at this location was great. The U-Haul system was a major problem. It stopped midway with a system error. Curtis called the hotline, on hold for a long time, and the agent got us the next step. But it had another error and when Curtis called the help line a second time, the agent said she didn’t know and couldn’t help. We had to eventually cancel the original reservation (which should have been a quick pickup) and start over with new information. That worked but we were delayed 90 minutes on an already tight schedule.

KENNETH MEverything was fine, even with the interior of the van with a bunch of dried mud. I understand this time of year, and with the snow we've had, that's unavoidable. The staff was very nice and professional, the only feedback I would give to this ace hardware location is that we could not find the key drop off box! We circled the entire building at 2:30 in the morning in snow and never did find the orange box that is supposed to be right at the main entrance. We ended up leaving the keys in the key pick up lock box that has the keypad lock, but there was no way for me to lock it, but that was the only place we could find to leave the keys. Obviously if I rent from there again, I will ask them to show me where the drop off box is, but I assumed it would be very easy to find and I'm sure others do as well. Overall, I had a very good experience; just the part with the dropbox location could improve. Thanks!

Erin PThe staff didn't know how to rent out or check in equipment, so it took a very long time for a simple task, such as renting dollies, to be completed. The staff manning the booth for U-Haul didn't know what to do. So they had to go look for someone else, and that person didn't know what to do, so they finally got someone (I assume a manager) who did know what to do, and that process still took a long time.

Brandon BNew Albany Ace is a convenient location for local cargo van rental. As a pre-existing customer, the length of time to get a customer registered for a van seems a bit arduous. Friendly Ace hardware staff makes it more tolerable.

Tanya WI rent from this location 1-2 times per year. The staff is excellent and the transaction always is smooth. However, the cargo area of the vehicles is nearly always dirty. After my last rental I took 15 minutes to sweep out the cargo area - even though none of the dirt and trash was the result of my use. I didn't have time yesterday to sweep out the area. Certainly Uhaul could provide a cordless vacuum for the Ace Hardware staff to use between rentals. It would take 10 minutes to quickly vacuum the cargo and passenger areas.

The pick up location had very friendly customer service, I didn't catch his name but the gentleman that helped me was wonderful and cheerful on a Monday morning bright and early. They had some technical difficulties with the computer system that they resolved quickly so that I could be on my way. (which was so appreciated because when I dropped off the guy said the system took over an hour to come up). The actual charge was within a few dollars to my estimated quote, too. I will definitely rent U-Haul from this location again in the future if I have a need.

MARCUS SNo keys outside. Had to go in to get them. And then no drop box to return. Also the 6 requested furniture pads were not in the van. Someone in the store did get them for me when I asked. When I opt for the mobile rental option I think you call it truck share, it’s extremely disappointing to have to go into the store to ask for the key and go into the store to ask for the pads, and go back into store drop off the key. You should turn off this option if your vendors cannot get it right
