I rented trailer at last minute. 4x8 would work, but I have seen 5x8 at Nickelson Farm Store for weeks and it it 3 miles from house...convenient. I did a walk around, some dents and scrapes not marked, inside looked like it hauled used tires and right rubrail was loose midway. A handle from a plastic bin was on floor but otherwise seemed ok but well used. Back of trailer has extensive rust from years of road salt ( I’m thinking) . Trailer was sitting in grass next to a row of open trailers. When I arrived home, I saw the left tire was half flat.Blacks tire service was very responsive but arrived with the wrong size tire, with that info being provided by UHaul. Nice people. Decided to load the next morning. When closing the roll up door after loading, sunshine came through a 4” long rip in the top. The door hid this when open.

Place was closed when I dropped off the trailer. There was absolutely no other uhaul equipment there that could be seen and it was not clear where the trailer should be dropped. Were it not for the sign on the door and the key dropbox I wouldn't have even know this was a uhaul location. Made me a bit nervous just leaving the trailer since there is no lock to secure it.

The lady at the pick up location gave a few inaccurate details. First she told me if I overestimated my miles they would be credited (not true) and that I could not waive insurance when I had already done so in the online order. I’ll not use them again

The truck air conditioning did not work and not discovered until after leaving. The U-Haul location did everything they could to rectify and did a great job servicing the customer. U-Haul, however, dropped the ball. Too hard to contact by phone. I was on hold for customer service for over 14 minutes and gave up. The day prior I was on hold for 12 minutes and 15 minutes. I was trying to modify the pick up location and the representative offered to provide me a number for their Scheduling Dept. after being on hold for so long, I passed on that offer. Seems as though U-Haul has a staffing issue. My recent rental with Penske was MUCH easier.

55 miles allowed? Really? I'm sure it was because of the computer but managers should know they are allowed to give or take a few miles and/or add a few extra miles. Not cool. Got charged for going over by 6 miles.

This love action was excellent!! Now for the bad which this location was not responsible for! I reserved a truck at Uhaul.com stating I want a location in Waxhaw which is 6 miles from my home. When I received the reservation it was at a location in Indianland SC which is 25 miles away the wrong direction of where my move was occurring. I called & explained the situation & was assured it would be corrected. The next reservation was at a different location but still in Indianland SC. I had to call again & got a reservation in Monroe NC at a gas station. I arrive at 10:30 Friday to pick up the truck only to be told that the man who rents trucks is in meetings & not available until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I leave there n go to another location on rt 74 in Monroe but they aren’t open until Tuesday due to the holiday. I then call 1-800-uhaul & ask for help which is how I got to Nicholson Farm store.

Typical of U-Haul, we made our reservation at a specific location and received an email confirmation with a note that someone would call to confirm on Monday evening, 8/28. We arrived at the location and was told that they only had one 10 foot truck and it was for LOCAL use only. The rep called and was told that my reservation had been transferred to another location but I had received an upgrade. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THAT UHAUL HAS SWITCHED MY PICKUP WITH NO NOTIFICATION. This results in LOST TIME and delays. WE DID NOT NEED AN UPGRADE!!! THAT FIXES NOTHING WHEN YOU SELECT THE CORRECT SIZE TRUCK TO BEGIN WITH. This resulted in extra tie downs, strapping items in so they do not shift. WHY does UHAUL think an upgrade will fix poor customer service!?!????!

Rented a trailer for one day and returned it the next day. Charged me for 3 days. Couldn't correct their mistake. Have to wait 3 business days for customer service to review it while the money is out of my account.

the equipment needs to be kept up on blocks so that users can easily back up to the equipment. I literally had to get help in picking the equipment up off the ground to attach to my hitch and it scratched the back of my truck in the process when it lunged forward after picking up off the ground because it was facing downhill. I"m a female and 2 other females tried to help and we together were not strong enough to pick this trailer up so we had to get some help from another employee. The wait to a lot longer than expected to get checked out to leave. But the ladies were very friendly and apologetic
