We wasted a day on our move having to go from Winnipeg, MB to Fort Francis, ON to pick up our trailer. Call was received from UHaul, day before. Wasn't too happy as (extra trip, extra 900 km return, extra $140 in fuel), a day before we were to take our trip! ( We had to travel another 1400 km to Calgary when we returned with the trailer)! Fort Francis pickup was okay. Younger girl at desk had trouble doing reservation, so she had to call someone else to do it. Trailer was clean, and was hooked up when asked. When we returned to Calgary (after our trip), I was informed trailer chains were not hooked up properly, and chains were no good. Trailer hookup was also not tightened enough! Wasn't too happy to hear this also! (Trailer was hooked up, and taken off by workers at both pickup and drop off locations). Original quote from Steinbach, MB for trailer was $350, went up to $438 when I reserved it. With extra trip from pickup, extra fuel, extra charges, deposits, etc. just for trailer was $700, for a one way trip. I did not include the extra charges for an overnight stay in Ontario and meal costs to pickup the trailer. For all the fuss, untrained staff, and extra expenses, we will not be using UHaul again. Disappointed in our first time using UHaul, which will also be our last. :(lyla G.

The size truck I reserved wasn't available and I wasn't told until a few days before my move. I was downsized to a size less than half of what I asked for. The day of, I went to pick up via mobile pick up and my truck wasn't ready so I called the customer service number and was told to go into the pickup location only to find out that the it is closed on weekends. I finally tracked someone down to talk to and they said the truck had not been returned yet and we would have to wait another hour and to come back then for pickup.Cameron C.

The store hours are supposed to begin at 8AM I called the taxi service (affiliated business) and asked when they would be open because no one was there, he said a few minutes after 9am, I came at 9 and after waiting for 20 minutes called all the numbers repeatedly and got no answer, I called U-Haul booking centre and told them around 9:30am the guy finally showed up at 10am. In the meantime I had two helpers at $45/hr waiting 2 hours. U-Haul prices have skyrocketed in the last couple years and have become outrageous (1600 for an open trailer with tax) If I had a place to store it I would have bought a trailer at Canadian tire for less. 1st night my trailer tire went flat. When I picked up the trailer it was stored away in a residential area and not at the dealership, the box had 6â€ of snow and under that was full of leaves, the wheel wells were full of sandy fine gravel. Disgusting customer service and lack of respect for their customers. Next time I move I will find a place with more parking and just buy my own trailer.Daniel E.

This location needs to check the trucks and trailers the day before or more before customer is picking up, equipment has been in poor condition, not working as should be, and not clean!.. very unorganized. Causes delays in picking up and getting going and also when on the road!.Some staff will not even listen to what you say is wrong with equipment, and half the time no one is in the office during hours the you should be able to access services. Good equipment except the hitch was too small to go over a 2" ball, and with a 1-7/8" ball, the hitch unscrewed going down the road and would have disconnected had not the load been in the front of the trailer. EDavidDavid H.

Tires bald and flat. NO roadside assistance available. Had to find our own help so that we could begin the trip. Told by the road side assistance attendant, Sue, that we could ask for a partial refund because of the hours and hours of hassle trying to find people to help us. Please check the tires. The trailer I rented had 3 newish tires. I know the trailer came in from another location. But I ended up with a flat tire that had cracks at over and air leaking from 2 cracks and had multiple bald spots. Shout out to the staff who handle my call( think his name was James) Very big shout out to Ok tire in Edson Alberta for they very fast response time( 20 mins he was there and changed it )Tia-rae D.

Pick up was set at 9am. Arrives at 920am to find the door locked. Waited for about 15 minutes and called the number on the door. Was told I'd have to wait 40 more minutes because I was supposed to be there at 9. At 955 a lady arrived and was very helpful getting me my truck. The truck interior was filthy. There were almonds all over the floor and the clips holding in the centre console were undone causing the wind to push the console in and cold air to come into the cabin from underneath. The cargo area of the truck leaked quite badly and the caulking job in the inside of the moms attic area was atrocious. Truck ran well. Had to return it at a half tank because that's what was in it when I picked it up. Had a half plus an eighth when I returned it. Not a lot but would have been nice to have been offered something for the extra gas I left. If I returned it at an eighth less I'm certain uhaul would have charged me for it. Drop off in kingston was otherwise fine. Quick and professional.Charles F.

I was overcharged 5 days. Trying to get refunded the error is impossible I have spoken to the owner numerous time to no avail. I had the trailer for a total of 4.5 hours and was charged for 5 days rental because they neglected to change the rental date. I will never use U-Haul again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. Head office won't even respond to any of my correspondence. Worst company EVER!!!Michelle B.
