We had to travel over one hour away from our location to pick up this rental truck. It was out of the way and cost us two hours of loading and travel time. It also cost us more in gasoline to pick this up so far out of the way. Nothing wrong with the location other than it was too far away from us.EDWARDJ R.

Over all length of vehicle not listed on web site was needed for use when booking ferry reservation.IAN I.
I wish I was warned to start the return process on the website BEFORE returning the key in the overnight box. Plus the websit should allow you to upload a picture. When I returned the van, I locked the van and returned the key and then started the process on the website. As a result I could not take pictures it requested because I could no longer get in the van. I had taken a picture of the mileage and fuel before locked the door and returned the key but the website only gave me an option to take a picture but not upload one already taken. Next time I'll know what to do correctly but I wish it instructed me more clearly when I selected the 24/7 share program not to return the key first starting the return process so I did it correctly. The door latch would not close, I saw the men in the garage and asked if they could help meâ€¦one man offered his assistance and one of the other guys said that that guy didn't work there. But he nor the 3rd gentleman offered to help. They went to go get the female. She was busy opening up for the day. The men were doing nothing. The woman came and easily rectified the issue. The woman was very nice. It was obvious that she was more capable and smarter than the unhelpful menâ€¦.except for the guy who did not work there and had offered to help.ANNA H.

Location should not be eligible for mobile check in. There is no cell service. I was so frustrated and made me an hour late for my trip to pick up my daughter from college. I had to drive v5 miles down the road to get service and then had to chafe with someone to help me. Very hectic and stressful.Diana S.

Your app needs work. You log on, then have to log on again to rent. Then, after you fill in questions, take pictures of yourself and your license, you have to wait to be approved. What is the sense of having my card on file and still having to wait. Redundant. I'll go live moving forward, less aggravating.Dan T.
This is for UHaul corporate and NOT concerning the locations. I was charged additional mileage. The only reason i went over on mileage is because UHaul changed my drop off location. Tough place to pull-in and pull-out, but folks and service excellent. BTW, over the years I have used U-Haul over a dozen times and this was one of the friendliest treatments and efficient processes I have encountered.barry E.

Your online needs to be majorly improved .. you get a confirmation for a rental from a specific locatoon and then get callef the day before and told it is not at that location but at another location that is 40+ minutes away .. not a way to do business and then not clearly instructed on return rules and h that you need to use your mobile device to compleye transaction. Not happy and will start to look else where .. am a long time customer but cannot have the bait and switch at the last minute and do what I need to do effectively.Edward S.

What I really didn't like was being threatened with a late return fee - after calling in to say I'd have the truck back after when I estimated, when on a daily rental, well within 24 hrs of the daily rental, and returning to a closed location. (I could have just put down my return time as 24 hrs later rather than estimating a return based on best case scenario). That left me furious and feeling like I'd never rent from u-haul again.Gregg S.

so two issues with which they helped me with - the chain clips would not fit those that were on my hitch -- their mechanic figured out a safe way to do it. My first time ever having to rent a U-Haul and found the experience very pleasant!BARBARA M.
This Millerton location was wonderful. They were patient, thorough, and explained everything that I needed to know to be confident in driving a truck with a trailer. However this was not my first pick up location U-Haul scheduled. U-Haul callEd the day before my move and told me the equipment was not available as scheduled. I called the route nine in Poughkeepsie location, the originally scheduled pick up location and spoke with Marchello who was extremely condescending when I was attempting to work out the logistics he yelled at me and said, â€œlet me finishâ€! He was rude and offered no assistance or suggestions whatsoever. He acted as if I moved every day, I hooked up a trailer hitch every day and made it quite clear that I was basically on my own. I was terrified and still didn't know what or if I could do this. It wasn't until I actually went to the Millerton location that I was put at ease. My suggestion for the manager of the Poughkeepsie route nine location, Marcello, would be that he is not allowed to speak with prospective customers until he is sent back to training, for not only sensitivity but customer experience. Based on my customer experience with the Poughkeepsie route nine location, I would never use or refer U-Haul in my life! Thank goodness for the locations like Millerton. Unaware this was just the beginning of my bad experience, my livelihood (my desk), was totally destroyed by Swifty Movers in Poughkeepsie who I hired through U-Haul, movinghelp.com. As a result of bringing this to their attention they are now blaming me and the help that I hired to help with my move, a foreman. They are taking no responsibility whatsoever and now my desk is totally trashed and I work from home. I moved from New York to Michigan because I am going to be a grandma again. This move was horrendous, unprofessional he handled by both U-Haul on route nine and moving help.com (Swifty Movers). In the past I have always used U-Haul for my moving needs, as a result of this experience I would not use U-Haul again. I am however going to look into a position with U-Haul for a customer experience training manager. From the first voice they hear from customer service to claims a customer centric experience Is paramount to any business, especially moving which can be highly emotional and challenging, at best.Julie M.

The location was fine, there was a candy wrapper in the cupholder which made me worry that the whole thing had not been cleaned. But my real problem was with the Uhaul remote pick-up-- nothing to do with Millerton location. The process was terrible-- extremely arduous, took forty five minutes when it should have taken five.
