Alissa BI went to the U-Haul for my scheduled pick-up at 10am. I checked in on the app but I had to go inside to the desk to get the key. I had to wait while the associate helped another customer who was having issues with their credit card. When I asked if I could just grab the key and showed the associate the app screen as indicated, he was unable to find the key to the van. It had not been checked in that morning (the store opened at 10am). After waiting for some time, I was told the key was locked in the van and he couldn't get it. Instead of just assigning me a new van , he called to complain to U-Haul, which did nothing but waste more time as the agent told him to just assign a new van. Once, I got the van, I couldn't take pictures in the app like usual. The van had damage that was not marked and I didn't want to leave until it was documented. I called U-Haul and talked to an agent who told me to take pictures and send them through e-mail. I couldn't get my e-mail to send because of a weak signal and the location didn't have wifi. I went inside to talk to the associate again. He told me not to worry as he had already checked the van in and the damage was recorded. This left me concerned that I would be held responsible. The whole thing took just over an hour to complete the pick-up, which should have only taken 15 minutes via the app and the usual process. This is not the first time I've had issues at this location. I will not go back again.
DAVID SThe app for picking up after hours is absolutely terrible. I tried to pick up the truck at 7:30pm using the app to obtain the code to unlock the key box. The app hung up at insurance page. I logged out and tried again and got to the selfie page. When I clicked on the take a photo icon my camera came up, I turned on selfie mode and took a photo, nothing happened. I tried several times and nothing happened. Decided to call for assistance. It was a 30 minute wait so I selected the callback option. While waiting, I continued to try to use the app, but this time I went through the website. Same result at the selfie screen. Went back to the app. This time when I got to the selfie screen my camera came up with a red circle. That was different from before. This time it wouldn't let me change to selfie mode so I had to use the sun visor mirror to take the picture, very awkward. The photo and scan of my license worked, and the app went to "wait while we verify" screen. After several minutes the screen returned to the app login screen. I tried to get back to the "pick up my truck" but it would not let me. I checked my text messages and email including the spam folder to see if I was sent the code to retrieve the keys. I did not receive a code so I went home. On the way home I received a text from Discover Card that my card had been charged $54. I called customer service to cancel the reservation and reschedule a truck for the next morning when there would be humans that could process the pick up. I was told that the truck had been dispatched. After a bit we were able to get the reservation for the next morning. For some reason the morning reservation was charging me $39.90 not the $19.95 for the rental. I picked up the truck anyway figuring I could straighten that out later. I returned the truck in the afternoon and called customer service. The gentleman I worked with was very helpful and we were finally able to straighten out the charges. By the way, I finally got a call back two hours later. For you reference my phone is Google Pixel 7a on the AT&T system.
GARY KThey generally have a good selection, but the pickup process always seems to take forever. Anytime I’ve tried mobile pickup they send you inside and they end up asking for all of the same info you just put in the app.
PATRICK MAvailability of furniture dolly/cart. When I ordered online I reserved a truck and a furniture dolly. Found out there was no furniture dolly when we got to the shop, which made things harder.
Marty HPerson before us did not fill tank all the way. Tire pressure light and warning was on the whole time and couldn’t see the mileage

Hudaifah PThe check engine light was on when I first got in the vehicle. I was told it was because an oil change was performed on the vehicle and it will be ok. It was okay but in my opinion the added stress of that light being on was annoying.
Neil MGet a working printer...printer was broken when we made the reservation, working when we picked up the cargo van and broken when we returned the vehicle. : ) Other than that, service was great...very friendly.
MARK HMake sure cab of truck is clean. Should not have to clean floorboard of plant dirt and trash from underseat to start out, especially since the initial part of your journey is the most hectic and stressed.

Matthew FU-Haul truck didn’t have a dolly and they always have them inside. I had to haul a bunch of stuff on time restraint and lost 100’s bc the dolly wasn’t on the truck. I called in and got re routed a few times and had to get off phone because I wasn’t getting any help and also on a time restraint. Will never use U-Haul again after that.
George HI have rented from this location before. The employees are fantastic. Although the inside and of the back of the van was very dirty. We had to clean out ourselves.

CHARLES MAgain, like almost every time. They charge me for gas when I filled it back to where it was. No issue, another hour on the phone again and they’ll refund it. But how many people don’t call. How much $$$ is Uhaul stealing from people???
JOSEPH ZTruck had an extremely annoying loud wind noise coming through the driver's side door/window although they were closed properly. Couldn't listen to the radio the noise was so loud. Not very relaxing for a 2 hour drive on the highway. Terrible vehicle and would think twice about renting from U-Haul again. It was clean, however.

shawn nI used after hours mobile pickup. Either the APP was having problems or I didn't know how to use it. It took 3 calls but I got it figured out. Equipment was good. The was a low pressure warning on one tire but the the pressure was checked and good.

Mitchell KIt smelled so bad of cigarette smoke I almost had an asthma attack. The windshield inside was so dirty I could barely see out when driving towards the sun. I’m glad I only needed it for an hour.

Jordan MI asked for a credit on my bill. I still have not gotten one The truck I was rented was unsafe. The ignition key was stuck in the steering wheel and couldn’t be removed I had to bring the truck back four hours early before the store closed because of it. I was unable to park it in lot after hours as intended and put keys in lockbox because keys were stuck in ignition. I want a refund applied to my account. Please send this to a manager. Have them call me. 216-214-0851

ROBERT JI got there at 8:30am for a 8:30am pick up and then had to go check in the cargo van. This should have been done before I got there. I had wait over 10 minutes for them to do this. I didn't leave there until 8:50

DOUG SI was able to rent a 10’ box van that was perfect for my needs. The van was clean and in great condition. Customer service over the phone to make the reservation, and in person to sign out the van and return it 3 hours later was expedient & friendly. The ACE Hardware staff is knowledgeable and good natured. John Madden would be proud.

Joshua RDriver’s side front tire was bald on inside - you could see the metal part of the tread it was so bad . The unit shook hard at the steering wheel and was completely out if alignment and not safe - had I saw the tire condition sooner I would have returned the truck as I was afraid the front tire was going to blow on the highway * this was not the location I booked the rental - I rented 2-3 weeks in advance but received a call the day prior saying truck I requested was not available and would need to go to the N Olmsted site - I got there and they also had no furniture pads which I had requested . Not a very good experience overall

But when I have the problems that cost me in time and money it was not. If I ever have to rent from Uhaul again, I now know to fill the vehicle when I pick it up and only fill on finishing to slightly below the F and certainly no more than when I received it. It cost me $40 in gas to drive 80 miles when the fuel mileage display said 16.1 mile per gallon. I'm sure you just brushed it off and moved on, but for $15 it was meaningful to me of how much you care about customers. You were kind enough to refund the amount you overcharged for day usage. However, you really did nothing but give me the money you took from me by overcharging in the first place. It took some time on the phone to get it corrected. The only bright spot on the completion of this transaction was Michal Davis in your customer service who did AN EXEMPLARY JOB IN ASSISTING ME.

Cheryl CA moving truck with no loading ramps in the back?? Seriously?!? I should have been told this at pickup so that I knew I was renting the correct equipment I needed. To even rent such equipment and label it “for moving” is ludicrous! I wasted all my money! And an appliance dolly without a ratcheting strap on it?? Ludicrous!! Very unhappy with my experience!

JEROLD SIf I accidentally add too much gasoline and wiper fluid, I'd like the money back. The fact I dont get the measly money back pisses me off.
Jury MThere is no option for self check-in which means no pictures. I opened the U-Haul website to begin my reservation and it said no equipment was assigned, so I had to call the customer service for U-Haul. The kind lady informed me there was no self check-in and I'd have to go in the store. I waited 30 minutes past my reservation time for the worker to be available to get me access to the truck. The truck was not clean in the back, full of leaves and debris. I was told gas was $5 per gallon if I didn't refill it. I drove the truck 12 miles (which is also reflected on my receipt), and yet the company charged me $27 dollars for gas which makes no sense if the truck averages 10mpg. I used barely a gallon of gas. Last, I have called to get this rectified and U-Haul customer service says they can't help me because there are no pictures yet there was no option for me to even upload pictures. I called the store and I was told they'll call me back. I had to call again to speak to the customer service rep. He said the regional manager would call. He still hasn't called me. Would never rent a truck from this location again as it has been nothing but a problem. Go somewhere else to rent a U-Haul and ensure they have self check-in so you can have picture proof and don't get scammed.

GINA MAce hardware is great! Your app doesn't save anyone anytime. You should tell people before they check out that they'll need to take pictures. I was in a hurry and already locked up and turn the key in when you ask for pictures. You also say to scan the location when you get there and I have no idea what that means and there's no instructions as to what that means. What are you supposed to scan? It shouldn't be that difficult. Oh and I didn't even use it. I took it home which is like a mile away and brought it right back cuz I didn't end up needing it. No money back or anything for that. Ridiculous.
