This location is fine but uhaul sent me to 3 different places. The location I booked through was not available and the location sent to me did not have the required vehicle. This severely put us behind schedule. I'd rate the new procedures for uhaul a 2 out of 10LINDA R.

The truck smelled like marijuana the windshield was so covered in bugs then looks like someone turned the wipers on smashed them all over. I did online check in a week prier for furniture dolly and they did have one. Wont go to them again!! Also the lady told me I could have the truck until 5pm because someone was using it the next day but when I checked in online I put 8hr to use the truck. She argued with me about that. But that is what your website said I could do was 8 hr. She said have it back by 5pm so I did and the man who checked the truck back in was rude saying I should have had it back by 4pm I told him the lady said I could have it until 5pm he then asked me who? I said I dont know better because no one wheres a name tag. It should have been put on my check in that She said 5pm.Amee M.

The customer service at this location was above and beyond !!!!!!after a very UNSATISFACTORY issue at the cypress location ( which we won't rent from again! And anyone who speaks to an elderly person the way the MANAGER did there.. should resign or be fired!) They took care of me and apologized on behalf of uhaul.... she was a sweetheart and got me on my way!! Will always come back to this location as well as family membersrandall C.

I reserved a trailer from this location the night before i picked it up. Put all the info such as 1 way exact location of where i was going and where i was dropping. When I picked up the next morning they wanted double what i was quoted, said they had no choice price must have changed since i reserved last night . I was under the gun had to pick up but that was it I will never use u haul again .Chris M.

Answer the phone. Also, not all employees at this gas station know how to run the U-Haul part of the business. All employees need training to accommodate U-Haul customers. Sometimes there's only one person running the station which makes it tough, I understand that.David R.
The uhaul cab was very dirty and even had a small puddle of water in it because they didn't roll one of the windows up all the way. There was sticky stuff like candy in a few spots in the cab and I accidentally stuck my leg in it before I realized it was there. There was also marijuana shake all over the back of the truck. Overall the truck was very dirty and did not look like it had been cleaned ever.michell C.

Have more gas in the uhaul. Light was on when we got itSuzan P.
The 24/7 rental experience didn't work. No equipment was assigned to the reservation. Had to call the uhaul rep in Chico or Anderson, or wherever he was and he had to assign every truck they had to my reservation in the hopes one of them would work. Couldn't get the keys out of the automated box with the code provided. All of this was pointless since the store was actually open at 6am despite the website saying not until 7 or 8. Guy at the counter didn't know what to do with the reservation or how to give me the key. Had to call the Uhaul rep in Anderson again who said yeah, he's renting, give him the key and that was it. Really weird. Will not recommend uhaul 24/7 rental or that Valero...not bad, just when it's not the main thing they do (renting uhauls vs convenience store and selling gas), they're not to quick or efficient at it.Jarod B.

This location was great. My original reservation was at the main location on Cypress Avenue in Redding Ca. I watched the manager rent my trailer (that I had reserved 2 weeks ahead of time) to someone else! He then pretended to not realize that I had rented an enclosed trailer.Russell H.

I was disappointed by my experience dropping off my rental. The employee was rather rude, and treated me like an inconvenience. I think she may have been overwhelmed working by herself on a Sunday, and perhaps the experience would have been better for both of us if she had some assistance.NINA F.

There was some issue with the truck's motor, not shifting from lower gears into higher gears. We informed the U-Haul upon realizing this. It did not create an issue for us. Just an FYI.Andrea K.

Please explain the charges clearly because it differed from the online printed invoice. Also, the notice in the back of the truck is misleading. It says "Save $25 if you return the truck swept and the covers folded." Many people read this as a $25 discount, and not that you will have to pay this if you have not done what it is saying. The location I was originally sent to, a U-haul retailer on Cypress Ave in Redding CA. was understandably busy, however ignored me and other customers completely, did not acknowledge our presence until finished with what they were doing (although several reps present) then directed me to another place on Prestige way to drop off trailer because they did not have room, gave me incorrect directions how to get there, did not tell them I was coming ect. The folks on prestige way in Redding Ca. (a gas station) were far more helpful then the U-haul only business on Cypress Ave. The gas station that took-U-haul on Prestige way was busy but nice, the U-haul Retail store on Cypress was borderline rude-clear they had no time for customers.Guy W.

I was delayed because I had turned in a truck late in the past. You could have called me then. As a matter of fact, I think I called them after turning in the truck late and they said everything was ok. I was completely paid up. Many moving volenteers were made to wait and there were probably 10 phone calls I received while on hold with u-haul for a long while. Thankfully the gas attendant felt sorry for us having to wait and scrambling to try to get a Penski. She got right through and she let me use her phone. I will never use u-haul again. This could have been cleared up the night before when we paid for the truck ahead of time or when I logged in to put in my drivers licence number online. I don't know if this is some sick thing that you do to punish people for turning in their truck late or what. Fix this issue or others will do what I will do next time get a Penski. If this would not have happened I might have turned back to u-haul because the truck was awsome, powerful, quiet and clean.Kruz R.
I dealt with 4 different people. Nobody seemed to know how to do a complete an entire Check out or check in procedure. It took 2-3 people for both ends of this transaction. Proper training would profit all.Kenneth T.
Our overall experience was extremely frustrating. We received a call from U-haul the day we were moving letting us know that our destination drop-off that we contracted for was closed for the weekend. Why did it take two weeks to let us know that? Why was I able to make a reservation online for a closed location? Instead of dropping it off in Weaverville, where we were dropping off furniture, we had to drive back down to Redding, which added another two hours, not to mention our own gas for our personal car to get home. That delayed our work project at my mother-in-law's place so that we weren't able to finish. This was a terrible experience and we are extremely disappointed in our U-haul experience. Not likely to use or recommend U-haul again. And the fact that I have to call you again for a $40 rebate is NOT helpful. Thanks for nothing. The Redding location and staff were fine.Jonathan C.

I was not told that the rental place would be closed after 4 p.m. and when i went to return the truck, they told me that I had to take it to another place. I am not familiar with the area. when I got to the drop-off location, I was charged for being late, and I wouldn't have been if I could have dropped it off at the first place. The truck was rented for 6 hours and I had it back before the 6 hours were up.Karen H.
They made a mistake & checked me in 1 hour after I checked out to use trailer. When I checked in after 2 days of use I had to wait for 45 minutes to wait for them to check my trailers return. They didn't even offer me an ice cream or soda. Time is money out of my pocket.RICHARD S.
To begin with when I went to go pick up the truck you had one person waiting on customers for gas with them customers for food and waiting on customers for U-Haul one person when and where to pick up the truck this person did not open the truck this person did not check the gas gauge I return the truck and I had a quarter of a tank the same amount of gas that I had when I rented the truck they tried to tell me there was only an eighth of a tank they found they finally said that they were wrong then they told me the truck was dirty the truck was filthy before I rented the truck in fact to the point where we had to put blankets down in the truck before we put our stuff in there we returned it in the same condition and they're telling us that we need to sweep it out not only that they said they did a walk-through of the night before which is b******* because we pick the truck up dirty if it was clean the night before how is all this going to be in the truck it's only in there from the last customer not from us I will never recommend this place for service I will never rent another U-Haul from this place again your customer service suck your you're everything about your business is terribleWilliam J.

The woman who worked at this gas station drop off location did not work for Uhaul. She was the ONLY helpful person who had any customer service abilities that I encountered and was tue ONLY one who was apologetic through the entire process. Do not let this review reflect on her or her buisness. This review solely reflects the ineptatude of Uhaul and their inabilty to help customers that they have wronged. When I made my reservation, I decided to call the pick up location a day before to make sure all the equpitment (20 foot truck and car trailer) I needed would be there. The man on the phone said "Unless the truck gets stolen tonight, it will be here". Two hours later, I recieved a phone call from a Uhaul representative telling me that I could no longer pick up my equiptment at the original location because the equiptment I requested would not be there. She then rerouted me to a different location further away which she promised my equiptment for pick up. Moving day arrived and I drove 40 minutes to the new location to pick up and the sign said CLOSED. I called Uhaul and the representatives disconnected my call 3 times before actually connecting me with another person who could remedy the problem. I was told that, "They do not know how I was scheduled to pick up equiptment at a closed location and that on tue computer it clearly says the location is closed". I was now routed to a 3rd location to pick up the equiptment that was 15 miles further. Finally, I pick up the equiptment 2 hours behind schedule. The only redeeming thing about this morning was that the truck was new and clean. While driving, I recieve a text message from Uhaul telling me that my original drop off location was now changed to a location 70 miles away from the original. I called to find out why and I was told "Not enough people use that location so no one could pick it up there". After driving the 70 miles to the new drop off location after moving in, I had to wait an hour because the new drop off location was not notified nor did they have the information in the computer that I was to drop off the equiptment at their location. At this point I knew that Uhaul has absolutely no one checking the work that they do. It appeared that the show was being run by a child. The customer service representatives that I spoke to to get some sort of reimbursement for all of this unproffessional, substandard, poor, terrible, garbage service were rude and unhelpful while always attempting to transfer me to someone else and leaving me on hold for several minutes at a time with each phone call. I tried to call to get reimbursed for the 70 miles of moving truck fuel (It gets 8 miles per gallon unless you move to the mountains like I did in which case it gets 4) and commute time, in addition to the 140 miles of fuel and commute time for my personal vehicle to pick me up and drive me back from the changed drop off location, I was told they could not help me.
