This was an absolute terrible experience. We had a truck scheduled to be picked up on July 3, about 7:00 pm, using my phone. Showed up at the location, and kept getting an error. After about 40 minutes of trying to get it to work, I called in and was on hold for almost 45 minutes. The woman I spoke with was very nice and professional, and said she would have to change the time of the rental, then the error should clear. Since I could not check in to get the truck while we were on the phone, we disconnected the call. It still would not let me pick up the truck. I again called uhual, keep in mind it’s now almost 9 pm. This time I was on hold for over an hour, finally got through, gentleman said our reservation was not set up for phone pick up, but he would try to find a location with an available truck for the next morning. Being the next day was July 4th, I’m sure you can imagine how difficult this was. He placed me on hold for about 20 minutes, saying he would have to work with his manager to try and find something, but realizing how long I had been on hold, said he would call me back. I instructed him I lived in a rural, mountain community and would be without service for at least 20 minutes while driving home, he assured me, he’d call after that time period. He did not, he called a few minutes later, I immediately pulled over to try and answer the call, which promptly disconnected. I waited for about 30 minutes for him to return my call. After this time period, I called back and again was placed on hold. After about 25 minutes, call was disconnected on the part of uhual without having spoken to anyone. I called again, and was on hold for maybe 40 minutes or so, when the first agent of the evening answered my call, she remembered me and the issue we had earlier. I told her what was happening, she said she would find me a truck – again it being July 4th, this was not an easy feat, but she found one about 45 minutes away from my home. Her professionalism and courtesy was very much appreciated. So, the next morning, we got up and headed for the new location – keep in mind, I had hired movers to help load the truck the evening of July 3rd, movers who still had to be paid even though they were not available on July 4th, so now I’m out $200 dollars already. On our way to the location, again, about 45 minutes and probably 40 miles one way – which is terrible when you’re paying by the mile – from our original location, we realized the original place was open, so we stopped in. We were able to rent a truck, thankfully, but it was larger, thus more expensive than the truck we requested, but we took it anyway. Don’t get me wrong, we were very grateful to have found a truck, but now instead of extra mileage, we’re paying for a larger truck. So at this point, we’ve lost our moving help ( which had already been paid for ), have spent collectively probably 3 hours on hold, but have procured a truck, albeit a more expensive one. There was ZERO drop box. I spent 45 minutes looking for one for an after hours drop off. There was no one at your 800 number to help me and I finally got ahold of their night manager and he told me to leave it in the bed of the truck with the U-Haul unlocked. This is absolutely ridiculous. My entire experience was ABSOLUTELY horrible. Let’s not to mention my internet return in the mountains with no cell-internet reception and your lack of 800 number personnel. Disgusted. Entirely.

The owner did not check his system and was not aware we were picking up a trailer today.When I asked to look at it first for damage he cursed at me and told me to get the hell off his property and told me thy would charge me $43.15 cents for not taking the trailer. I never signed the contract and was afraid and told to leave. Your dealers up north are great but I will not rent from any uhaul dealer in the North Carolina area.

Trailer had to shovels full of livestock feces in it and smelled of urine. This was an enclosed, no vents, trailer. Person who rented and used to haul livestock should be charged with Animal Cruelty.

The only problem with the truck was that the windshield wipers were bad, which was not good because it rained my entire trip, I told the guys at the return place, who promised to have them replaced.

I was in a facility where other customers were more important than me. The place that I was in was a business and they serviced all the customers while I had to wait. I had gone in prior to the day of pick up and given the girl all the information. Then when I came in to pick up the vehicle I had to give the girl all the information again.

We were very dissatisfied with this reservation. I made in advance online. I scheduled it at the Parker Oil location and when my mom arrived to pick it up there was not a trailer available for her. She had to go out of her way to another uhaul location to obtain a trailer... this put her behind having it loaded at the furniture store, meanwhile we had movers on the Atlanta end waiting AND being paid by the hour. We were unhappy to say the least.
