Initially I was going to drop off uhaul at the Winchester location and was notified they didn't have any space for me to drop off. I had to drop it off at this location. Upon turning in uhaul, I asked if there was anything else they needed to be done and she said “No” later I get a finalized receipt being told I went over 9 miles and was charged for that. Not being told about this prior to leaving the premises and then being sent a bill for it is unacceptable. $9 is not a big deal, however the fact that I was given the uhaul on empty and had to get gas and then being charged for that extra mileage is poor customer service.

Interior had a resident spider hiding under the drivers seat. Spider webs around the brake pedals should have been an indicator for whomever cleaned the vehicle last before I rented it.

The clerk who checked me in and hooked up the trailer was rude and didn't communicate well on the various steps. When she was done hooking up she just walked away. The trailer did not have any running lights on the drivers side. I attempted to repair but it wasn't the wiring.

I have additional charges on my card for missing/damages which there wasn't any..I contacted the office and no one has even responded to my inquiry. I want answers and nothing has been done about it. I have rented with uhaul so many times and this has been the worst' experience

Let Begin By Saying That I Never Used U-HAUL In My 69 Years. The Customer Service Very Bad At This Location. It Started With My Initial On-Line Reservation On May 9, 2023. I First Received A Call From U-HAUL Wanting To Know If I Would Like To Pick-Up A 15' Moving Van And A Trailer At Austin, Texas For A $700 Discount.Well I Declined Because That Location In 3 Hours 14 Minutes, 216 Miles From Grapevine, Texas. My Order Was To Be at The Grapevine, Texas Location. A 15' Moving Van, Moving Blankets And A Utility Dolly, Furniture Dolly And A Appliance Dolly. Well A Day Before I Was Told That I Would Have To Pick-Up The Equipment At The Richland Hills Location, !0 Miles, 15 Minutes Away From Grapevine. So, Monday Morning At 9:30AM I Arrive At The Richland Hills Location. I Spoke To Andrew Ross, Assistant Moving Center Manager. THIS INDIVIDUAL WAS VERY CONDESCENDING, MEAN, RUDE UNINFORMATIVE TO ME. I Ask Him About My Order 15' Moving Van, Moving Blankets And The 3 Dollies. He Stated " We Do Not Have Any Dollies" I Said 'I Made This Reservation A Couple Months Ago, Without The Dollies I Can Not Move". I Then Requested Him To Call The Grapevine Location For Dollies. He Said That He Called And They Are Awaiting My Arrival. I Went To The Grapevine Location And Made Contact With An Older Caucasian Woman With Blond Hair. This Woman Had The Same CONDESCENDING, MEAN, RUDE, UNINFORMATIVE ATTITUDE AS ANDREW ROSS AT THE RICHLAND HILLS LOCATION. At The Grapevine Location They Were Only Able To Rent Me 1 Furniture Dolly And 1 Appliance Dolly. They had Me Start Another Equipment Contract For The Dollies. I Do Want To State That The 15' Moving Van Was Great No Problems To California. Also The Drop-Off Location At Temecula, California The Personal Were Professional And Friendly. The U-HAUL Company Should Follow-Up This E-Mail And Please, I Am Requesting A Written Response. I Had A Very Bad Experience In Texas Locations. Customer, Ruben Ramirez

Please be honest about availability of trucks. I suspect I was forced to upgrade to a more expensive per mile truck. I asked for an 8' truck for 2-3 hrs (and saw 4 on the lot) but the employee told me those were all reserved within the next few hours. When I returned 3 hrs later all 4 were still on the lot. Seems like shady business practice to make an additional 0.50 a mile. Have more integrity.

The guy and girl are very rude and belittling. Example: we couldn't get the lock open and was very frustrated as we needed the truck before they opened. However we couldn't open the lock so we had to wait until 7am when they opened. The guy and girl were sitting In their truck for 5 to 10mins while us and another customers waited. He can out of the truck and the girl as well he didn't say good morning or kiss my as he walked passed us.. I said we can't get out lock open he asked what number he proceeded to open it in 5 seconds while saying in a snotty tone you didn't have them lined up correctly my husband asked show me how they should be and he said look how it is, a complete ass. Then when we returned the truck the rude girl was there I asked her for my total cost she said “ it will take 10 mins you will receive an email” I wanted to know the total before I left she was all huffy having to go do her job and go to the truck and get the info needed so I can get the cost. She came back rudely telling us the cost like she was put out by having to do her job., I do not recommend this facility at ALL. They need new staff before we'd return. I wish I read the reviews before renting a truck from them. They need to realize something without customers they will not have a job. Just food for thought!!

I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an incorrect fuel charge levied against me after my recent rental experience with your company. At this point, you lose a loyal customer of 10 years for $12.50. On the morning of 6/30/2023, I rented a GMC pickup from your facility and returned it on the same day, having only traveled 10 miles. I conscientiously refueled the vehicle with 1 gallon of fuel at 9:02 a.m. to account for my usage, as the truck averages 19 miles per gallon. Despite presenting the receipt for this purchase upon returning the truck at 9:12 a.m., I later discovered that my final bill included an additional charge for 2 gallons of fuel, amounting to $12.50. This not only contradicts my actions, but it also defies the logic of fuel consumption for the vehicle I rented. To clarify, even without my fuel replacement, a 2-gallon consumption for 10 miles of driving would suggest an average of 5 miles per gallon. This figure is absurdly low considering the year make and model's known average mileage of 19 miles per gallon. Furthermore, a 28-gallon tank would hardly show any gauge change for a short trip unless parked on an incline/decline. Temecula's highest price for regular gas is $5.00 per gallon, making the fuel charge an overtly high imposition. This experience, unfortunately, gives the impression of either an error you refuse to admit or a fraudulent charge, neither of which reflects positively on UHaul's reputation.

I drove 9 miles on the pickup truck and was charged 12.50 for gas when I brought it back. Also the mileage was incorrect when I got the vehicle so if I didn't check I would have been charged more. Seems like a shady process to get more money.

It would have been helpful to know the gas tank capacity of the truck I rented so I could have estimated how many gallons of gas I needed to fill it with instead of guessing and having to stop pumping gas several times and check the gauge to make sure I was not filling it to "full" since I only had to bring it to less than 7/8. When I asked the representative what the capacity of the gas tank was on the morning I rented the truck they did not know.

I went on a weekday, and asked about pricing, and then came back Saturday and picked up the truck. After checking the receipt, I was being charged $1.40 instead of the $1 I was told about on the weekday. The clerk did not make it clear that they had different prices on the weekday vs weekend. If they are clear about the different pricing on weekday vs weekend, that would have been fine, but it needs to be clear what I'm being charged for before renting the truck..

I had to reconnect the trailer and the chains were too long. I drove it that way for less than a mile. The Uhaul worker was really put off by it and bickered at me about it. Really bad customer service and totally unnecessary on his part to get so upset about it.

Every time this person "helps me" , it doesn't matter that I do the online check in, he ALWAYS asks me about my address, asks me to give him my card, and gives me the pamphlet, even though I've been renting for SEVERAL months FIVE days a week, he still makes me waste my time ON PURPOSE. For this reason, I'm asking for a loan to buy a truck and don't rent anymore, at least not from this location
