The problem was not with the process or the employee but with corporate and the website. I had completed everything on line before I arrived and was charged the price of the truck with my supplies but the only order I was sent an email was the truck. There was no record of my supplies for the employee to view but yet I was being charged on my credit card as a pending charge. It took about 45 minutes to an hour and we had to call corporate to fix it. It was frustrating to say the least. The motto was to do all this on line before you arrive and this would save time. Not in this case. I was not offered a discount or incentive for my time or trouble. Disappointed in corporate for this mess.

The van had the spare tire jack missing a wing nut. It would flop out intermittently creating a safety hazard while loading and unloading. Upon return, the staff was aware of this issue (which could be remedied by a quick trip to a hardware store) and thought that safety wasn't a priority. I had a $ 79 estimate for 100 miles. I traveled 105 miles and was charged $ 99 In addition (and discussed prior with staff) I put 6 gallons of gas into the van at a cost of $ 21. Estimated cost $ 79. Actual cost $ 120. $ 41 cost increase. Your staff is either incompetent or practicing deceptive pricing bait and switch. Likely both. I will avoid UHaul at all costs and tell everyone in my social network to do the same

I use this location on a regular basis and I am very pleased with the staff and communication of the facility. The team operates well together and everyone knows what they are doing. I attempted to rent a Uhaul out of fallbrook, however the size I wanted was not available so I had to rent one out of Temecula which meant I was going to have to pay more in gas. Then I called and asked to return the uhaul to fallbrook instead of Temecula so I could save money in gas and I was told it was a one way rental and I would be charged over $100.00 just to return closer to where I was moving. The customer service rep was not flexible nor tried to accommodate me. I will NEVER recommend Uhaul to anyone. They have terrible customer service and just want to squeeze more money out of the consumer. I will be giving uhaul terrible reviews on every site I can find.

I have always rented from uhaul but not anymore. I have come to find out uhaul is takes what they can from their customers instead of working things out. A few months ago I rented a box van. I got the van with at half a tank When I returned it the gas needle was not exactly straight up the 1/2 tank but no less than a hair to the lower side and the check in guy said I brought it back lower than 1/2 and wanted to charge me another $14 in gas after I put in $25 and drove less than 30 miles. I told them I would take the van back and put in the $2.00 it would take to bring it to what he thought was 1/2 tank. The counter person was kind enough to let it go. This week I rented a van. Again it had just a little under the half mark. So there was no issue when I returned it I watched as I filled it to the 1/2 mark exactly however when you do this it doesn’t always give you an exact reading until you drive. So by the time I drove it to the drop off location the gas was sitting at a little over 3/4 full I put in more than a 1/4 tank than what I got it at. Thinking maybe uhaul will work with me and credit me or not charge the 20 miles I used to even put me paying more in gas. Hell not they said I’m sorry it in the computer I cannot do anything. So basically I gave you free gas and I’m fucked for doing so. Well never again will I rent nor will my family and friends after what I tell them.

I was shocked by the final cost of $115.24 for a 10' in-town rental which I had for under 6 hours! I was told the rental included 50 miles--but later discovered what the agent meant was that the ESTIMATED charges ONLY included 50 miles (you pay for ALL miles NOT just anything OVER 50 miles)! You guys need to communicate this important detail better.

The truck had no gas in it - the attendant knew about this and stating that I had to go get gas before we used it. They had 3 people working on that shift but no.one had the forsight to put some fuel in the truck before we picked it up. We were on a schedule and were meeting movers.

I have been doing business with this location for over 2 years now with excellent customer service until now. The employee of whom processed my paperwork yesterday was unbelievably RUDE to me for reasons of which I do not know. She told me her mane is Beth. Someone from management needs to speak with her. Seems very expensive. It's advertised for 29.95 a day. But when doing the contract, then I also find out I get charged $1.09 per mile. Seems deceptive...

Found debris inside Trailer. Mud spattered on the front of the Trailer. I was a few minutes late due to poor traffic on CA79 South. The agent was kind enough to override the late charge.

Staff customer service was ok, although they were a bit fussy about where I parked to check-in. (If it's that important, they need to make some signage.) I rented a trailer for 2 days...my return was delayed a few hours, so I called to ask about after-hours drop off and was given instructions. All fine, no problem...until I later see that I was charged an extra rental day. The manager contacted me and explained that I was 2 hours past my time on the contract, hence the additional charge. (When I did the after- hours return, I should mention that the lot was full of trucks and trailers and their designated return area was blocked by two large trucks...clearly no shortage of rentals.) To summarize, I was charged an extra day for being 2 hours late (right before closing time) because they could, under the contract terms. I would understand if they were short on equipment and my lateness caused them to lose business, but that was not the case. A little managerial discretion would have been appreciated, but clearly the emphasis at this location is on squeezing an extra few dollars out of customers. Fine, it's not like I can't give my business to one of the many other Uhaul locations in the immediate area.
