The contract for the truck said that it had half a tank of gas. It was on empty, and we barely made it to a gas station. I had requested a dolly and blankets, those weren't available at the time of pickup. When driving the truck, the check engine light came on. So we dropped off the truck with a half gallon of gas, spending $200 on the truck, and giving the uhaul company $70 worth of free gas. Not pleased with this, And sick of being used by a company to pay and then get charged if I don't return with enough gas, but not reimbursed for extra gas.

My pick up location changed unannounced. Truck had gas stolen night before pick up and we were left to deal with it, having to get gas cans and make multiple trips to fill it up.

This location was the worst pickup location I have ever been to. I’ve used uhaul about 10 times while relocating and this was by far the worst experience. She canceled my reservation...AND STILL GAVE ME THE TRUCK. No one at uhaul knew I had the truck...pretty sure that’s a huge liability. I then had to redo the reservation to be able to drop the truck off and then they charged my card twice! The pick up location “didn’t have internet” but she was taking card payments which requires internet. She was just lazy and didn’t want to do the job of checking in a customer. She didn’t have any of the extra stuff I reserved like a simple dolly, furniture pads or furniture dolly. Why send me to a pick up location that doesn’t have any of my items! She didn’t care and told me to drive the truck 30 minutes out of my way to get those items. Using the gas I would then have to replace! How does that make sense! Seriously the worst experience I’ve ever had. I would think twice before letting One Stop Shop ever be a pick up location again. Now I’m out $234 for 3-5 business days cause she was incompetent in her job. I could have said screw you guys you didn’t know how much gas was in the truck since I never signed a contract since she just gave me the keys without doing anything! But no I still paid $50 to fill it up cause that’s what you do when you are given a service you follow through. She did not follow through at the pick up location. This whole experience was a nightmare. Thanks for making my move way more difficult than it needed to be!

At my drop off location apparently their internet or the uhaul representative could access the uhaul database and was no help returning my vehicle so I had to do it on my own. They were also very unprofessional and rude.

This is a bit out of town, convenience store. They had us check out the truck and fill out the paperwork. The van was dirty which made it hard to see if there was any damage. They only had 1 van and it was in a small, busy parking lot. The van was dirty but in good working condition. I will not rent from this location again.

For starters, who ever checks in the trucks need to make sure there is nothing left in the truck. I found a part of a joint that was left in the cab. The back of the truck was not swept out.

I reserved my truck at the main u-haul location for a reason, and one week in advance. I was sent to another location the day of pick-up where it took 1 1/2 hours to complete the transaction, than I had to go back to the original location to pick up a dolly since none where available at the the truck pick-up site. They had the wrong gas amount on the paper work which shorted me 1/4 tank of gas, luckily we took a picture and showed it to the drop off site! This set us back two hours making us miss our 6pm deadline for our destination site at the storage unit in another town. Upon returning the truck they wanted to charge a $40 late fee. The wrong time was put in the computer that we took the truck out, thankfully the drop off site waved that fee, but I still had to pay insurance on the truck for one more day. A truck I did not use and was late because they sent me on a wild goose chase the day before and causing me to not meet my 6pm deadline! I have used U-haul before and this is the worst experience I have ever encountered!!! What is the point of making reservations if they are not honored? I will be thinking about using other moving truck services in the future. Oh, and the kicker...the lady at the store we picked the truck up from took pictures of our drivers licenses with her personal cell phone to upload them to the computer!!?? This exactly the main reason I wanted to pick up the truck from the main u-haul establishment and not some liquor store!!! And lastly, after sending out in the boonies to pick up the truck, my mile allotment actually decreased from 108 to 105!!! Thankfully I did not exceed 105, but was very close to it! The entire transaction was a fiasco!!

Our reservation was switched to this location which was extremely inconvenient and out of the way costing us extra time and gas. The truck was filthy and full of sunflower seeds. The staff did not let my husband check in to pick up the truck because I made the reservation. Even though a different location the day before let him. I had to get my sleeping baby out of the car in front of a bunch of sketchy looking people outside of this location just to show the girl my ID. To top it off, they had us retuning the truck at that location when we needed to return it in Folsom, where we were moving to. The girl did not know what she was doing or how to fix it and my husband was there for over an hour while she tried to figure it out. This was the worst uhaul experience ever.

This young lady was untrained on how to return a Uhaul and no one was there to help her. Good thing I am a previous Uhaul dealer and knew how to walk her through the process to check in the truck. I hope they take the time with this poor girl and get her the training she needs to make her job easier.
