First of all, I had arranged to pick up my van at a different location in my city. It's a location I have used often and have always received excellent customer service. I received a phone call asking if I could pick up at a different location. I asked if it was a full-service location and was told it was. On the morning of my move I called the new pick up location to find out if I could pick up a mattress bag and plastic wrap. Someone picked up the phone but didn't answer it. Instead they were having a conversation with someone else in the room. After a couple of minutes of repeatedly saying 'Hello' I hung up. I called back later and someone answered and told me they did not have a mattress bag or plastic wrap. I had to attend my normal U-Haul location. When I arrive to pick up my van, the man behind the counter was checking out other customers who came in after me, before me. He said my transaction was going to take longer so he was going to deal with them first. When I told him I wanted him to deal with me as I had been there before the other customers he told me I should have chosen to check in by phone not in person. In the future I wll only deal with the professionals at U-Haul Moving and Storage at Confederation St or I will look for another rental company.

I received a call a couple of hours before my scheduled pick-up time at my preferred "best ever" U-Haul location (U-Haul Moving and Storage, Confederation Street, Sarnia). I was asked to switch my pickup to this nearby location due to equipment availability issues. Never again! The alternate location was a convenience store. Although quite pleasant, the clerk wasn't very helpful and seemed unfamiliar with the U-Haul process. Both pickup and return were a bit of a Gong Show and didn't inspire confidence.
