When I picked up the truck it was empty. The person who rented the truck told me to go directly to the gas station & not any place else. It was my understanding that I was to return equipment on the empty register ( 27 miles left before actually empty, was how I returned it as the dashboard read 29 miles to empty, when I picked truck up. As the contract was emailed to me, instead of a printed out copy, I didn’t see that it stated, I was to return equipment with 1/4 tank of gas. Furthermore, that was NOT what I was verbally told to do. Truck wasn’t exactly clean in cab. Coffee spilled on console, chip bag in back of seats & something greasy on handle of passenger side door! The return was a nightmare. We arrived @ Car City in Calabash to return vehicle, as instructed & were informed they were close for returns! Why are you informing your costumers to locations that are full? Do your computers not keep an inventory, as to who has what? Then the receptionist lied & told us she called the Thomasboro Rd location & they would take the truck. We got there & he also told us he was full, but due to my frustration, took truck anyway, as I refused to drive it to a 3rd location. I was already late to pick up a rental car! This whole situation was inexcusable. Holly, who made initial reservation was very professional but the man who was there when we picked up rental, stated he was new on the job, for just a few weeks. He also stated they had to go to Charlotte to pick up equipment (5 vehicles). I rented a 15’ truck last week & need to rent another 26’ truck next week, but I’m very hesitant about another repeated bad experience. If I am charged an additional amount for the gas, as I was instructed to return it with the same amount I was rented with, I will dispute the entire charge with Chase! I don’t do business this way!

Alison AGreat service. I pulled a trailer for U-haul and had to drop it before unloading the truck. The attendant at Patriot Towing was waiting for me outside when I arrived. The same when I returned with the truck. The drop off process was simple.

CHRIS GI didn't mention I was going to return to address where pick up. I moved from Salisbury to Charlotte. Left it in Charlotte location which only make since and was charged a fee that wasn't mentioned.

Shirlene AI have rented from here 3 times now. I have never had any issues getting ahold of anyone. I left something in the U-Haul I rented and called and thankfully they had it. Trying to get it back has been extremely frustrating. The girl tells me to come anytime to pick it up. I come on my lunch break and she isn’t here. I called she said give her 5 minutes. I have been waiting for 15 minutes and now she won’t answer the phone. I have spent my entire lunch break here waiting on her when all she had to say was the time she would be back and I could have come back then. This has changed my outlook and I don’t know if I will be doing business here moving forward.

DEANDREA RUnit should have been out of commission. Ratchet was previously broken and I drove an hour to get the dolly. Then half way back to get the car I was purchasing and couldn’t because it was broke.

LAWRENCE EThe agent should let the customer know that the 10 foot truck does not come with a ramp. Only 15 foot or higher comes with a ramp. Our furniture require a ramp due to the heavy weight and we did not find out about the 10 foot truck not having a ramp.

CONSTANCE JOvercharged. I did not want to add safe move insurance and when I questioned what I was being charged for, because rate was too high and dealer said it was just for rental, mileage and fuel. After looking at receipt I was charged for safe move insurance.

MICHAEL DWe were supposed to get the truck for $19.99. That's what he agreed to. Billed us $29.99. Did not offer a refund. I don't know what all we was charged for. It was $86 plus gas to use about 3 hrs or less and 30 miles. 19.99 plus 31.00 and tax does not come to $86. We got a $11 dolly he said he didn't charge for. Ok right. And you could barely keep the truck on the road. So much play in the steering. Transmission sounded horrible. Not again from this location did not honor their quoted price.

ROCKIE NHolly was amazing. Very professional and good to work with. The price of “$19.99 a day” is very misleading. By the time I did insurance, mileage, etc. my 4 hour rental was about $140. A little misleading. I barely had the money to cover it.
