Engage with customers. Let them know if the vehicle isn't even at the location. Or another. Or another. I was in complete circles and no one was helpful until I called customer services on the phone and they were able to tell me that the vehicle I had requested for a move was not available at all and they could figure one out for the next day. It's was such a stressful situation to be in and thought it would have been all avoided since I request a Uhual before the move and pickup date.Kelsey P.
How about you get more than just massive box trucks for 1 way trips so were not forced to pay $900 fucking dollars for a single day of use (forced 4 day purchase), when all I needed it for was to transport a desk and 2 suitcases. Had literally ANY OTHER company not required a actual credit card I'd never use Uhaul again. Absolute waste of money and time.Amber D.
The truck we originally ordered had mechanical problems. The original location of pick up was on 84th Avenue, was changed so we had to drive to farther location on 76th Avenue. At drop off we went back to the place we picked up and was told to take to the other location. We reserved the truck for 24 hours. I was billed for 2 separate days, more than the original quote. It was really hard to coordinate. The app made it sound easy but when you show up there are no trucks and the attendant doesn't know what to do. We eventually fixed the problem by going to another location but it was an unnecessary headache and delay.Robert T.

The online process didn't work well at all (took at least 25 minutes to process), and the gas station owner was still under the impression that I had to get everything approved by them; I even had to pick up the key from them. What is the point of contactless service if I still have to check in with them face to face? Also, the truck was parked in a very precarious position which made it rather difficult to back out of without hitting anything. Further, at my first stoplight, the truck stalled out several times. When I returned the key, the owner did not allow me to drop the key in the drop box, but rather, had to return it inside. Overall, a very frustrating experience.Matthew J.

The online service I tried using was awful. Before I went in to the store I tried to go through the online check in and the chat representative never responded. I called and tried to talk to customer service and the woman I spoke to was extremely rude. She yelled at me that I was to blame for the chat rep not getting back to me and nothing could be done to get my rental and she was cancelling my reservation. She ended up hanging up on me. I've never had such an awful experience with a CSR over the phone. I ended up leaving and tried to go to a uhaul store to rent a truck in person only to find out there were no trucks available so I called back and spoke to someone else who told me my reservation was never cancelled and that all I needed to do was go in to the Sinclair gas station. The store owner at Sinclair was the only reason I would ever go back to uhaul. He was incredible and made up for uhauls unprofessionalism during my initial call asking for help. It took me 3 hours trying to go through your online requirements and authorization after you already had my credit card and ID, when the chat rep didn't respond I tried asking for help only to be treated horribly. You owe any future business from myself, my family or my friends to the Sinclair owner.Melissa H.
We rented a 17' truck and when we get there we are told they dont have any. They said they gave us a 15' truck but it seemed pretty small. We ended up having to do more loads because of the smaller truck which made us pay more for mileage. We got to the location about 5 minutes till 9 and were told the boss isn't there yet so we have to wait for him. It was then about 5-10 mins after 9 and the worker comes out and says here my boss is on the phone just talk to him. It was overall not good and we are upset about the whole situation.Nathan H.

They told me it would cost 45 dollars, and they charged me 175$ They had told me after the payment that a deposit was taken out and that I would get it back however I only received some of the money back. This service was a joke! NOTHING was right about what I reserved online! They gave me a smaller truck than I ordered, they changed the location to a further pick up spot, and pushed the pickup time 3 hours later and it took 1 hour to even pick up our truck since it was a tiny gas station. Worst experience ever! Terrible location. Truck had cigarette butts and flattened cardboard in the back. Empty soda can in cab. The pads we rented were not there. Had to go to an actual UHaul location 20 miles away to get the pads. Had done express check in online but had to do everything all over at this gas station. Did not request this pick up location. Was assigned there which was a huge inconvenience to us. Called UHaul when we received notification of the pick up location we didn't request but they wouldn't change it. This was a one way rental and we needed the truck. They offered to add more miles to our contract but what they should have done is given us credit for the gasoline for the extra miles we had to drive to pick it up and then drive to another place to get the furniture pads.Robert D.
Arrived on location , was told to go to liquor store to find someone name Sam. Very unprofessional. The truck reeked of cigarettes and the last person who used it must has smoked 3 packs in the cab. There was half used cigarettes on floor and chair and ashes every where the steering wheel was sticky and someone had left food and trash inside . Luckily I cleaned it out myself because the odor was so strong . Terrible experience . On top of that when I returned the vehicle the guy told me atleast 5 times to pay cash and I'm like I already paid and the uhaul agent was not "on-site" at that moment . It was a very sketchy situation and unsanitary. Other then that the truck was big and easy to drive.Savannah B.

My truck was dropped off 5 minutes after the store closed. The key drop is not clearly marked so we hung onto the key until the next morning and took it back . The store is now trying to charge my for an extra day. I definitely will not be using uhaul or it's neighborhood rental spots after this. I'm disgusted. I could have just left the key in the truck to be stolen or hanging on the door. God forbid someone is courteous and keeps the property from being stolen, all because their key drop isn't clearly markedMeagan S.
I believe the mileage on the truck I used was recorded incorrectly when I picked it up resulting in me paying more when I returned it. Though I do take responsibility for not double checking the mileage upon pickup, no one at the pickup location was willing to assist me. I was only told â€œwe have no control over that, sorry dudeâ€. Odor of truck interior was repulsive, I had to wait for the arrival of the supervisor to get the truck. I dropped the truck off earlier than intended to a clerk in the store and he didn't look it over nor did the owner when I picked it up. I hope there are not any charges other than what I used it for as there is no way for the staff to distinguish damages being they do not do a walk through.shantel L.
I have had slot of experience with UHaul and have always been very happy and satisfied with service... Until now. I had a reservation and was on time, but the location where I p/u the truck had no idea what they were doing. I did the rental on my cell phone and still didn't get the truck for 1hr. Pecos Sinclair, 7590 Pecos St.,Denver, CO. Contract #28842977 I turned in my uhaul rental at 10:15 am to a man who didn't know what to do with it. Tells me it's okay, he's called his boss and they'll email me a receipt. When I receive the receipt I realize that they've charged me an extra day and says that I did not turn it in until 2:30 pm. I called and the person who answered hung up on me and then would not pick up the phone again. I've been charged at extra $19.95 and would like a refund. I would recommend but staff, need a bit more training as we had to go to a 2nd location to get registered then drive back to pick vehicle from the original locationoscar H.
The first gentleman I delt with could not print me a contract, he told me to "take a picture of the truck for your records" Upon returning the truck that evening, the gentleman at the same location (7590 Pecos) told me he does not know how to return U-Hauls so he would call someone else. He then came back in the store and lied to me saying that his "system was down so I need to go up the street to another location" I went to the other location and the gentleman there asks for my contract. I did not have one because of the first gentleman I dealt with. This third clerk was about to tell me to drive back to the other location because that's where I picked it up from. The third gentleman eventually helped me return the truck. Overall I had an extremely poor experience. I'm all for the convenience of offering U-Haul's at gas stations. But there does seem to be some disconnect with the clerks there how how to operate the U- Haul system.Aidan D.
