Upon pickup, Dave displayed awesome customer service and went over the options available and ensured required details were correct. and that the dolly was in the back of truck. Thank you Dave. Upon drop off, Steve Russell also displayed awesome customer service and professionalism and made the check-in service a breeze. Thank you Steve. Great place. also Sarah greeted me when I walked in the establishment by saying hello and smiling . She said have a great day when I left. Very professional and friendly!!

The employee was very rude and disrespectful. It’s a great location. Everything was great with the truck, but the employee had an attitude, he was not friendly at all. I simply asked the employee if I can get one of the trucks that is new with the lowest miles since I was the first one in line and instead of saying, yes sir, he responded with “good luck” in a sarcastic way. That’s not how you speak with customers. I know the trucks are not new but when a paying customer asks an employee a question, you don’t need to be sarcastic. You could respond with something a lot more polite.

I reserved an auto hauler trailer a few days before I was to move a vehicle. I arrived on time to the site for pick up and was informed the computer system was down and thought they would not be able to sign out the trailer. But the staff was very accommodating and took steps to get me on my way as quickly as possible. I would recommend this location to people for its central location and friendly staff

Check In/Out Process - Possibly be able to scan barcode and submit photo to assist with returns given this location is very busy with College Students.. And/or Hire a dedicated Uhaul Associate to handle the traffic of customers.. Otherwise was an Awesome Experience -will rent again. Thank You

I used the mobile rental option and it was difficult to locate the truck at this location. Apparently there is a back to the store which is not obvious due to the fact that it is in a strip mall. Also… the original truck that was reserved had a check engine light, so luckily I had gone into the ace hardware uhaul counter and the associate was getting the original truck and driving it around and he noticed the check engine light and set up a replacement. Overall good experience though.

Was not our requested pick up location. Uhaul did not supply our trailer as requested to Newport NewsVA even with over 2 weeks notice. Forced to pick up a day earlier and find accommodations for trailer. Not a satisfied customer.

Be more friendly and give the customer what they ask for. We got the oldest truck, no pull out in the back ask we requested, we picked it up at 10:00AM but was told it had to be back at 8:00AM, driver window Handel broke. I will never use this store again. They are slow putting in you information not sure if you can pick it up at their store and it goes on and on. Please call me because I might just post a view on this location

This was the second drop off location we visited. The one initially assigned, Abe’s Mini Storage, wouldn’t take the trailer because “we don’t accept trailers”. Might want to get that straightened out in your system.

U-haul should exit the rental buisness. i rented a mid sized truck and reserved it over a month before the rental kicked in, because of the discount program they were running.I had the truck for 3 days and drove it less than 10 miles and was charged over $230 for the rental. The math did not add up on the reciept and I might not have a choice in the future, but I will do everything I can to avoid renting from U-haul again.

UHAUL is not to be commended at all for their display of ignorance and rudeness and for not being able or willing to solve the simplest of problems or correct your own errors. It was impressive to say the least. As for the Ace Hardware store employees who rent the UHAUL trucks out- i am NOT-talking about them. Corporate UHAUL? The performance in customer service today embarrasses me on your behalf just to think about it. 👎👎👎 i’d hate to see how you handle a big problem. Oh-thats right- you can’t and won’t. Funny- i must have used “key words” that cause this to be “un-submittable”.

Our first time renting a trailer for towing behind our light pickup truck. Staff were very helpful, reservation was quick and easy in person, really a great price for 24 hour rental. Staff connected the trailer and checked all lights worked properly, we were on our way. No problems on the road. We were able to pick up and bring home a queen bed and return the trailer all in one day. Simple rental process made it easy for us. Would recommend this U-Haul location at Peninsula Ace Hardware.

The vehicle sound like it needed servicing. Maybe needed fluids checked. It sounded rough not smooth. I know trucks don't typically sound smooth but this was different. I was able to get the task accomplished in a timely manner.
