First off I had to pickup the truck at a secondary location other than what was agreed upon(adding mileage and time to my trip). Second, I was first denied the truck because (as it said on their paperwork) I had a friend or an associate that owed them money I could not get a truck until their debt was paid. So I had to pay it to get the truck. I spoke to three different people from their corporate office and kept getting transferred. I am not a debt collector so I should not have to be collecting other people's debts. That has nothing to do with me. After I paid his debt I was sent an email with a "receipt" that only had my name and amount I paid for his debit. No where on the email did it show his name, his account number or any information that shows his debt was paid. So he could still be charged. Third i was contacted by uhaul load share to pick up a trailer for uhaul along my route, which was located in Chantilly, VA. Just outside Washington DC. at 6pm the same day I picked up the truck. Anyone familiar with the area knows being on the beltway you normally sit in traffic for at least two and a half hours no matter the day of the week or time of day. After the headache of getting the truck which I started the process of the pickup at 930 am I didn't pull out of the lot until 1130am. There was no way I was going to pick up the trailer in time. I still had to drive to where I had to load my belongings and load the truck. I had to cancel the pickup. So I am out the $475 for picking up the trailer and $143 for someone else's debt. I will never use uhaul again.

Speak with Evan who was horrid. Speak with the manager who when I asked to speak with him I heard him say tell her I’m in a meeting. I will be sending a letter with pictures in the near future.

The policy should be to return the vehicle with a full tank. Estimating how much I used during a short trip surely results in me putting in more gas due to not wanting to get penalized for not adding enough. Give the van with a full tank and ask for a full tank back.

U-haul self drop off is terrible. Three times renting and three times same drop off problem because app does not recognize location. All three times had to call support. On June 4 drop off, like others, I am in same dang parking spot I picked it up from and app want recognize location. Waste so much time and frustrating that what u-haul acts like is easy is such a pain in the ass. Extend the dang area. You have the customer credit card…how many people are on app trying to drop off who are stealing the trailer. Not thinking many. Or just get rid of self check out.

Make sure rental cabin is cleaned before releasing to the next customer. Other than that, the customer service was very good!

The reserved truck has a flat tire and a check engine light. U-Haul traffic could not find another one-way truck within 20 miles of my location to rent. The local dealer did have local-day rentals, and while she couldn't do that as a one-way, she adjusted and capped the miles to make the cost including mileage not be higher than the one-way. I did have to drive back 1:20 minutes to return the truck, but at least I could execute the move that day. So - HUGE win for the dealer, and HUGE loss for U-Haul in general.

The unit I rented needs servicing, at 15 mph. The wheel hop was enough that I thought I had an issue with my truck, and 55 mph. It had my truck moving all over the road. I believe it to be a tire out of balance, or broken chords in a tire. Otherwise, it was clean, and served the purpose I needed it for. I did let the rental site know that the unit needed repaired, hopefully that will be done before the next person rents it. Thank you,

I waited 20 minutes to pick up my reservation because no one was at the pickup counter, but they had grace when I returned it 10 minutes late. All in all, a good experience!

Good crew here. U-Haul really must upgrade its computer system. As is, corporate is leaving the dealer at a real disadvantage. They deserve better.

First… I reserved a dolly to assist with moving furniture… it was not available and was told “sorry, nothing we can do for you.” Added a couple of hours to our move. Second, between the time I parked the truck and a receipt was emailed, there were 3 miles added to the mileage - why?

The driver side door didn't close properly unless you aggressively slam it shut. The truck shakes a bit when you push on the breaks

Truck was very sketch. Alignment was way off. Steering wheel crooked at least 45 degrees and was very hard to stay centered in the lane due to wandering. Dash backlight started dimming randomly about halfway into my 3 hour trip. Driver door was hard to close and would not give a warning when the door wasn’t closed all the way. Did not have a lot of confidence during that drive.

I used the truck half a day, and ended up paying over a hundred dollars. They have a crafty way of manipulating the numbers to make sure you pay more than advertised. And, the brakes were acting up. At times I would press down on the brake pedal and the truck wouldn’t fully stop. Instead it would jerk.

Upon pickup, Dave displayed awesome customer service and went over the options available and ensured required details were correct. and that the dolly was in the back of truck. Thank you Dave. Upon drop off, Steve Russell also displayed awesome customer service and professionalism and made the check-in service a breeze. Thank you Steve. Great place. also Sarah greeted me when I walked in the establishment by saying hello and smiling . She said have a great day when I left. Very professional and friendly!!

The employee was very rude and disrespectful. It’s a great location. Everything was great with the truck, but the employee had an attitude, he was not friendly at all. I simply asked the employee if I can get one of the trucks that is new with the lowest miles since I was the first one in line and instead of saying, yes sir, he responded with “good luck” in a sarcastic way. That’s not how you speak with customers. I know the trucks are not new but when a paying customer asks an employee a question, you don’t need to be sarcastic. You could respond with something a lot more polite.

I reserved an auto hauler trailer a few days before I was to move a vehicle. I arrived on time to the site for pick up and was informed the computer system was down and thought they would not be able to sign out the trailer. But the staff was very accommodating and took steps to get me on my way as quickly as possible. I would recommend this location to people for its central location and friendly staff

Check In/Out Process - Possibly be able to scan barcode and submit photo to assist with returns given this location is very busy with College Students.. And/or Hire a dedicated Uhaul Associate to handle the traffic of customers.. Otherwise was an Awesome Experience -will rent again. Thank You

I used the mobile rental option and it was difficult to locate the truck at this location. Apparently there is a back to the store which is not obvious due to the fact that it is in a strip mall. Also… the original truck that was reserved had a check engine light, so luckily I had gone into the ace hardware uhaul counter and the associate was getting the original truck and driving it around and he noticed the check engine light and set up a replacement. Overall good experience though.
